well, nobody here forbids anyone, to mod at it's own taste. The OP suggest to gather group of people, to work on quality content, so at the end we will get arma 2 stuff, with good quality. No idea, what can cause a butthurt by some here. I for example preffer quality over quantity. It's not a world wonders, there will be 100's a like addons, and this is not good or bad either, but just a fact.

i think i get what you mean, and i agree about this.
I think, we need a project similar to Arma2: Cold War Crisis mod. Where devs for exampke, could give the modders support, like it happens with cold war devs. I wish they could get rights to port Chernarus and Takistan later for example. It's better to have 1 big team project, working on so to say Arma 2 on Arma 3 engine mod, then 100's of custom addons, based on arma 2 samples. Ofcourse they can't claim then, the arma 2 assets, are only theirs, and nobody else will use them, but maybe it will be really more usefull, if people with same interrest, bringing arma 2 to arma 3 engine, will group up in a team, and work together, instead everyone for themselves only.

Finally someone with some sense. Sounds like forums are full of BI fanboys who think 40 fps is good when in reality this game is so stuttery at 40 fps and dips into the 20s very commonly.As I stated in the thread, I'm talking about MP performance not single player. If MP ran anywhere near like single player I wouldn't be complaining.
so you did read my post about 100 players games smooth and lagfree? Who do you call a fanboy by the way?

I don't think, there are reasons not to do this again. Not to say, if episode1, came out without devbranch testing first, it would be a catastrophe, nearly everything was fine.

ARMA 3 is GPU heavy thus you powerfull SLi setup wont increase framerate significantly over a single of the same card, assuming its a high end card. AFAIK All AI calculations on server are done client side, hence why players get poor FPS in MPso is that much rilevant to wasteland, king of the hill, WoG games and a3rc pvp events?

well, i already saw armata conecpt arts, which look pretty cool, even some schemes like crew position in a special capsule, autonomus turret etc.

OP is talking about MP performance. And there is no excuse for poor MP performance other than BI poor coding.so, what "poor coding" on world are you talking about, when we from a3rc.com community playing weekly games with 100 players smooth and lagfree?

Here are few tests with tanks. First Slammer vs Kuma Took me 6 or 5 shots to destroy it
Second Kuma vs Slammer 1 hit and tank is destroyed

and now i have placed myself as merkava gunner, could take 6 hits from t-100 and it took me 8 shots to the front of t-100 to destroy it. I'm shooting at front panel at every tank.

It depends where you shoot mate :), i was able to survive 2/3 shots in new MBT.yes, me to man, but look the thing is, if IM in a tank and being shot at, my tank can survive 3 hits. But if im shooting other rank, he gets damaged only by 1 shot. I have extended armor disabled in optins.

Now just 1 shot from t-100 at the front of merkava and bots jump out.

just tested new AAF MBT vs slammer, took me 1 shot to the from of merkava to destroy it, is that ok? AAF MBT took atleast 3 hits and got only right track damaged.

ok now that interresting, now i placed myself as merkave gunner, took 2 shots from aaf mbt, again right track damaged, and AGAIN it took me 1 shot to destroy AAF MBT to the front to destroy the tank. There is obviously something wrong with tank damage when a player is the gunner.

it took me 2 shots to destroy T-100 at the front side with Kuma, and second try 5-6 shots to destroy it.

and it took me 1 shot with t-100 to the front of mbt-52 kuma to disable it, bots did jump out, but tank got not exploded.

The good times were back when everybody though Arma 3 was going to fix Arma 2's realism problems and add ACE like features. But now most Arma 2 players stopped playing Arma 3.
seems i'm not everybody, bis said, they want arma 3 be more open towards new players, so that means, it had to be made simpler in some parts. I don't think a newcomer, will get much of a clue, why his bullets fly 10 meters to the right or left from the target, and how to measure wind and set it properly for the scope.

Dont be pathetic. Many mods have better scripts than official modules in ArmA 3. I can understand cash grab, developers need paychecks. I can understand " shitty Singleplayer to grab CoD and BF kidz " but guyzzzz....i can understand nothing you just said. cod, kidz, huh...

I just tried those and they seem to have increased my fps at least 50%! It was 15fps on this one server I played on 4 months ago and now with those parameters it's 120fps! Thanks!oh yes, if i just knew that perameters exist! 220 fps now!

We feel so sorry for you, that game like arma, which has 270km² landmass, and upto 10km view distance, and 200% undersampling and pretty modern graphics at same time runs bad on your ultra highend pc.
it has been told a ton, that the game is heavily CPU limited - if you have 10 titans, that won't give you much unless you run the game on 4k display and 200% undersampling in game setting. My 670GTX 2gb, is never overloaded at 1080p HD and it doesn't make my FPS much hit, if i set MSAA to 8x or 4x in game, its nearly the same. But when i have overlocked my core i5 2500k to 4,5ghz, game runs smooth even on pretty heavy scenarios. It has been told, that multiplayer FPS may be 1, with xenons and 10 titans, when the server you join in a) runs on bad hardware, b) runs badly optimized mission scripts. c) i'm playing 100 man multiplayer matches with a clan, on a server with 2ssds, 1gig net, corei7 4770 not even overclocked, and magicaly nobody has bad performance or lags, unless hes hardware is just to old. The missions are very simple, few objectives and markers, no useless scripts 1 life rule. I wish you luck, in finding a good server.
So before making any petitions, you should read some more perhaps, what people say.

btw, i remember in arma 2, you could use some color filters, like PMC campaign had some brighter, contrast colors, some wasteland missions had yellowish color tint, i imagine if thats possible in arma 3 as well, you could achieve stalkerish feel with it. Anyway, have a good rest for the months you go away, and save some energy to work hard on Nova Zone, when you return! ;) Just kidding, can't wait to see your project in the game already! :)

what do we need more, then puting a clan tag, beyond the nick? On wasteland you can creat a group/guild whatever you call it, and there is your guild feature. On various coop missions, usually are many group slots avaible, your guild can take them as well, and operate together.
