Arma 3 Community Alpha - Announcement!
NeuroFunker replied to royaltyinexile's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
strange question, if you love arma, then your a fan for sure. :) -
that makes absolutely zero sence, to wait half a year, for arma 3, when you could already get yourself used with arma 2. 25€ for 2 games, with lots of interresting content, tons of various mulitplayer missions, awesome mods, and more...
-
as far i know, BIS making realistic combat simulator, not full realism. Nobody except some military freaks, would play totall realism game. Play VBS Us Arma Light if you want more realism, or wait for VBS 3.
-
if u think, ballistic is unrealistic, then wait for ACE 3.0, about night vision, you said it has greater view distance then in real life. Well, you know, arma 3 is in near future, so why not? I wouldn't wonder, if they would implement some colored night vision too. What do you mean, to kill someone is so easy? At Jay Crowe pcgamesDE last video, we could see, how easy the enemies can kill you, so whats wrong?

wow, maybe i would feeling the same, 10 years ago, when i was a scholar. Now i have enough patience to simply WAIT, and understanding, that BIS not rushing it, cause they willing to optimize the game as good as they can, unlike it was in arma's 2 case. Whats the point to play bugged product, getting mad and angry, waiting for 10 patches, until it's finally get polished? I do prefer to wait, for a quality product. -

Arma 3: Community wishes & ideas- NO DISCUSSION
NeuroFunker replied to Maio's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Just in case: I'm aware, we are talking about arma, not battlefield here. ;) Some basic hand to hand combat skills: For regular soldier: - being able to knock people out with butt of the rifle. (already possible with mod ACE) - There were a lot situations in multiplayer, where you could knock people out, but instead you had to shoot them at 1 meter distance. Ammo waste + making noise, when it could be avoided. (soldiers do not really carry silencers at combat a lot) (you have to sneak up then enemy from behind) Some "Special Forces" skills: - being able to knock enemy down the feet (perhaps with 1-2 second penalty, before the enemy actually sees you, not possible after he already noticed you.) - retake/disarm (not aware) enemy (perhaps with 1-2 second penalty, before the enemy actually sees you, not possible after he already noticed you.) - being able to stab enemy with a knife (have to sneak up from behind only) - rear naked choke/to crack the neck (have to sneak up from behind only) Since i'm not a military expert, i've tried to suggest things, which are imo. common in real battlefield, especially by special forces. -
now BIS owns me fresh pants!

well, anyway we should be alil bit patient, we all weill be able to test this build somewhere later this year. Hearing about arma going futuristic, did scare me off a lot, but now after watching several screenshots and videos, it does look pretty much impressive to me. That futuristic look is realistic, the only thing what worries me, if they will make the game more simpler and acradish, compared to arma 2. Ideally to me, it were about same difficulty as arma 2, with enhanced sound, graphics, animation and physics, and less buggy and more optimized. About first 3 wishes, we already can see they did a step forward with it. Now we have 2 wait for alpha, to check its optimization and bugs by ourselves.

did they show any of multiplayer? It was single only as i know.
-
at WW2, lots of trains were used as well. Famous: "Bronepoezd Potemkin"

i don't know, im sowhat used to arma 2 controls now, ofcourse it could be better perhaps, but i like it as it is.

NeuroFunker replied to zamani532's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - MULTIPLAYER

Arma 3 Community Alpha - Announcement!
NeuroFunker replied to royaltyinexile's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
The Community Alpha is intended to be a public build of Arma 3, offering a limited subset of content and features, with the fundamental goal of improving Arma 3's full retail launch. - I think everyone should make a sig of it, so people wont spread rumors, like you will have to pre order arma 3, to get hands on arma 3 alpha... -
lolol, exactly, take a rest from gaming, play cards with ur dad instead ;)

who doesn't? Actually i believe, someone with older rig could get a chance for a test, i guess devs want to know, how good it runs on older rigs as well... -
Beta patch once a month enough?
NeuroFunker replied to roguetrooper's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
or simply use every 5'th or 10'th patch, but dlding just 10 mb each, and updating older beta with newer is very quick, not a big deal. -
Holo sights, zooming and scope sights
NeuroFunker replied to Psychomorph's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
im not sure, but it's done that way in arma as it is, in cost for performance. -
nop, you have also to save arma 2 free registry file, which contains the key. Else it will crash at start up with: wrong cd key error.
