you don't need virtual memory with 8 gigs + SSD, i have it off, and never have problems with it. Moreover, some of my friends, who had not enough ram, 4-6, and had constant crashes, after geting another 2-4 extra gig of ram, and turning virtual memory off, fixed constant crashes issue. -
you call it lazy, which in my oppinion not much respectful toward the devs, i call it, "there were reasons, something got off the tracks", so the campaign and other stuff, had to be delayed. I'm pretty happy with stuff we got right now, there are only few things for me, like reverb in houses, better midrange textures, and perhaps wind/bullet interraction, that i do really miss. And no need to remind you, 2 collegues were in a prison for about half a year? I believe, people sometimes demand to much from BIS, if you been here since arma 2 release, and compare to now, thats like day and night, in therms optimization, stability. So it's pretty obvious, to achieve less buged and optimized release for arma 3, BIS had to keep some of stuff for later. And some people will be never happy, perhaps thats their nature? If arma 3 would come with more stuff, but full of bugs and not optimized, ala arma 2, people would go rage. Arma 3 came much more optimized bugfree then arma 2, but with lesser content - people still go on rage mode.

then i've missread it somewhere. And yes, i wish you guys would do that :) I'm no way game dev expert, by i think, this wouldn't harm multiplayer performance, if not improve it. -
no idea as from modmaking perspective, but are there many engines out there, cappable to do same stuff real virtuality enginge able to do? For example the fameous frostbite engine. Never seen maps, bigger then a size of spittle on it.

ADDED: New parameter drawLightSize for simple point light. - does that mean, car lights can cast light more further? When driving faster then like 100km\h at night, you can't see a shit beyond 2 meters infront of you, and everytime crash in to something

copy my stance command, seems never work for my team. As i understand, with this command, bots should crouch when i do crouch, and go prone, when i do go prone? Dwarden, with latest stable branch update, 1.04, again only max 500 servers are showing in the server browser, i thought it has been set to 1000 in one of dev branches before the episode 1 release? -

This has absolutely nothing to do with your RAM, this is because aero theme eats your gpu resources. Just switch to default non aero windows theme and it will dissapear. -

i think you are a bit wrong here, i'm not discussing SoS, if it's good or bad, i'm discussing, that it adds to arma 3 engine, something that was not made by the devs from begining, so it means technicaly it is possible, to add reverberation to arma, it's only a question of BIS priority/sound engine director thing.

the ar-15 video, it's pretty much a size of smg, like scorpion or vermin, that guns actually feel the same in game, not much of recoil in game. I love mk20 for that, you can shoot shole mag in to a single target. In real life, you have to push weapon down, while shooting full auto, to not the weapon raise to the sky, same in game, don't be lazy to push your gun down with the mouse, while shooting full auto, you'll achive similar results likeon the videos.

no idea if he did, but indeed, reverb and echoing, is seriosly what i'm missing in arma series. ESP. after playing with speed of sound, which "magicaly" offers neat reverb, which sounds different in different sized rooms, and applies on any weapon, even using custom samples. You can hear someone shooting inside the building even from farther distances, which clearly helps to understand, where to find the enemy. Should that be really a big deal for the devs, to perhaps use methods, for example speed of sound mod is using, to add reverb for arma engine?

i care not a single bit about CoD, but this units look cool indeed, a buddy of mine, has even that 3 ghosts pic as desktop wallpaper now ;) -
i remember in one of 2012's persentation, there was camp maxwell, where you could do various missions from it, via strategic map. Diving, shootings range, driving strider etc. I wish, BIS would add that showcase in the future, cause it looked really cool.
