  1. So WINE is the solution for you, it's an runtime enviorment for Linux, to run Windows software. So you don't need to buy a Windows License or enything else, only a Server that runs Linux (i prefere Ubuntu Server LTS). There are several Tutorials in the WWW, that describe how to start Arma 3 Windows Server on Linux with WINE. BEC are BattlEye Extended Controls, it extend the features of BattlEye a little bit.   2. Why you do not switch over to Wine? Since Wine 1.6, Arma 3 and other Tools like BEC runs fine without errors. So this is maybe the answare, why BI take so long to bring an nativ Linux version. I was host 2 Servers on Windows and 2 Servers on Wine for testing. Personally i mean that the Servers i have started in Wine, runs better then the Server i was host in Windows.
  3. After years of Modding in other Games, we decide to switch to a new Game and Arma 3 was the decision. Now we want to build up a new Group in Arma 3 from scratch. We want to build a Mod about the german Bundeswehr, that includs serveral Weapons and Vehicles. The main Goal is, to reproduce a wide range of Vehicles and Weapons used by the Bundeswehr today and in future. For this we search in every categroy (2D,3D,Sound,Scripts) new Members.   4. @ParadoxParadoxon thanks now steamCMD downlaods the DEV Version, in all Documentation, the command was written: +app_update "107410 -beta development" but now it downloads dev @kylania Did you understand what i want to do? I host Gameservers on a Rootserver with Wine(Linux), and i don't want to install the SteamClient on the Root, only to be able to get DEV. So i decided to use SteamCMD since it works on Commandline. But since Release the old documentation with +app_update "107410 -beta development" doesn't work but after change to "+app_update 107410 -beta development" it works again.

So i saw this question several times, now i dedicate this question an Topic. since Release of Arma 3, how we can get the Dev Branch through SteamCMD, since +app_update "107410 -beta development" does not work anymore for all people what i notice. What are the new command line paramteres to get the Development Branch files for SteamCMD? Or did we need to Install a full working SteamClient on Windows/Linux(Wine) to install the latest changes from DEV? After searching through the forum and the biggest search engine on the world, i found no answare on this question. It would be nice, if we can get support on this question.
  6. is there a new command to get the dev changes? Since release "-beta development" returns every time that i have the neweset build but this isn't correct, the Build stands on Stable not on DEV, i don't get any of the Updates since release.
  7. In your VAS 1.9a Release i've noticed a small bug. I've got three NVG but i don't find GPS, Compass, Clock and Radio? Did you remove this parts from VAS?
  8. damn, i was at holidays and after the anoucement (At the beginning) that the Supporter Edition will Stay until Beta ends, i was think that i have enough time to catch one after my Holidays.
  9. Hi Folks, i just wondering, that i am not able to buy the Supporter Edition anymore. It was to be annouced that customers are able to buy this edition through the Beta, or did i missunderstood something? Will there be a chance to get the Supporter Edition or is this now over and only the DDE stands? Regardes
  10. I also vote when these comes, for a split by vehicle categorys. In cause most time as pilot, you don't have an 3rd person aboard, that will look if tail and mainrotor are free. And you are not able to look like a real Pilot. But at all, its a nice idea. Is there also a feedback entry?

    EU based server hosting

    webtropia.com is also a good Hoster for dedicated Servers with good Hardware and for my opinion better prices then Hetzner. They have its own datacenter in "Düsseldorf". And they have good connection to some Gameserverproviders (e.g. gamed!de) in cause of they share the same Datacenter and both have the same mother company called "myLoc managed IT AG" i personal optain on both Provider a dedicated Server, i am a customer on Hetzer since 3 years and on Webtropia since 1 year. The Dedi on Hetzner i use for Internet-Sites and E-Mailserver, the Webtropia one which has better perfomance host at the same time 4 ArmA2 Dedicated Servers and 2 ArmA3 Semi-Dedicated Server without problems in Ping or Lags.
  12. Personaly i am not a Steam hater, i like it for some games, but i was made a bad expirences with Arma 2 CO on Steam. So i was buy ArmA 2 twice, the socond buy was directly from BI and Downloaded via Sprocket. So on one side, i want to have A3, but on the other side i don't want to have A3 only on Steam, personaly i wish a non-Steam Version. But after the Anoucement, that ArmA 3 is Steam exclusive, i don't think BI will provide two versions like ArmA 2 (i know there are more but i mean Sprocket and Steam).
  13. We've got a Major problem with ACRE and TS 3.0.9.1 we was over 28 player, after a few minutes TeamSpeak crashes several Times when ACRE was enabled. Often direct after rejoin, only disable ACRE Plugin and playining without ACRE solves the Problem. Scenario - All Peoples was in the same Channel, and Mission was started - For the first 5 Minutes all was fine - Then the TeamSpeak Client crashes (For all Players using ACRE not only me) - A rejoin with ACRE Plugin caused in a direkt Client Crash after a few seconds - Disable ACRE Plugin, all was working fine Used Version TeamSpeak Server Version: 3.0.6.1 TeamSpeak Client Version: 3.0.9.1
  14. no not yet, only Chernarus, Takistan and now Celle 2 so do you think that i test this with other Islands like the new Stock Islands from the ACR DLC and maybe one or some other Custom Islands? Edit Now it works, i forgot to copy some Marker that was created by Xeno outside of the Map, include the JHIP Marker. Now i put it on the map and it works. I got Mainmissions and Sidemissions. Now i can finish my Celle2 ACR Rework for Domination. Thanks for Help
  15. Hello, i was try to convert the Domination 2 Mission to an other Island, but i get stucked. I was found a thread that explains the conversion but it was for v1 of Domination. So i've got the Problem that the Domination dosn't work. At first i was get the error, that the mission says "No City found near ......" but after put all City markers near Villages / Cities nothing apperas, no main or side mission. Is there any tutorial what i must be done to get it to work?
  16. The Mission was working with my changes, without problems on Chernarus / Takistan. But it's don't working on Celle 2. My first try was also, to originally take all things unchanged and copy paste it over Celle2 then moving the markers a little bit. But nothing happens.
  17. With tweaking i mean, add some Pilots and reserved Slots. And Change the default Startup Parameter in the Description.ext so i was try only copy past, it doesn't work for me. And now after set all by Hand, it dosn't work again. So maybe i think i am to stupid to made a Celle 2 Domination or Celle 2 are not able to host Domination without some Script rewriting.
  18. This solution i was try first, just copy past all, move the city logic nearby cities and tweaked some the config. But after all no mission appears after several minuets of gameplay. So i was try the solution with the init field of the logics, but it does not help. Now i build up all from scratch, set all markers, units and logics by hand. Maybe this will help. So i hope to find a way to get the whole mission to work, Domination on Celle2 will be awsome. So i use the latest Build by Xeno 2.71 as base.
  19. i've already give all city logics this linie with a custom name. But no Mission appears after several Minutes. So i don't know what i can do, to get a mission. At the first beginning, where the City Markers wasn't over some cities, the Domination gave the error, that no City nearby the marker was found but now, after put all Markers beside a City and gave it also this init line, nothing appears.
  20. Thanks for the hint, but it dosn't help me. I want to made a custom Celle2 Domination. All was fine but it don't recognize the City i think. So i got no main Target or Sidemission after 15 Minutes ingame. Also i don't get an error.

    M109A6 Paladin v1.1 (UPDATED)

    Hi, i like this mod, but i have a small problem. i want to use the M898 SADARM Round to eleminate some Vehicles. I know the function of the default Domination SADARM. But when i try to eleminate some Vehicles with the M109 SADARM, i miss the Vehicles, no impact on the Target. So what is the best way to get the best Solution. I know that the SADARM has a Time-Fuze but i was try to hit the target with different Settings but no SADARM hits. Example Target TOF and TTI = 78.7 i was try to set the Timer on 77.8, 78, 78.5, 78.7 but no SADARM was found his way in the Target. I would be habby to get a Information how to use the SADARM right.
  22. Not all Unites still support the sleeve patch, i was test this a while ago. So when you see your Description and Tag, there isn't something wrong, just the unit don't support this feature.
  23. Hello, i am really new on ArmA 2 mission Development so i got a question i was search for a solution, but i don't find any one that fit my wishes. So i hope some one of the community can help me out, to get my wish to work in ArmA 2. I use the BB Mercs units and want, that the headgear is changeable during gameplay throught the actionmenu. I know it works when i use MCC and put "UNIT setidentity "XYZ"" on the Command line, but i don't find a way to get a script working that does this via actionmenu. I was show at Feints Sniper Camo Change to get a usable solution, but i don't have expirence in enhanced scripting. So my last try was this on private ["_caller","_headGear"];_caller = _this select 1; switch (true) do { case 0: {_caller setidentity "Pro_Helmet"}; case 1: {_caller setidentity "black_beret"}; } And use this Code in the init line of the Unit init="this addAction[""Pro Helmet"", ""x_custom\x_headgear.sqf"", [player, this, 0, (0)]];"; But i don't work

Nope i mean, when i use this code [left][color=#333333]this addAction["Pro Helmet", "x_custom\x_headgear.sqf",0]; this addAction["Black Beret", "x_custom\x_headgear.sqf",1];[/color][/left] to me and one other unit, and i watch to the other unit, i get the menu entries displayed twice. So i want, that the menu entrie is only for the local player visible. So only i see my menu entries and the other unit see only his menu entries. So i don't get displayed both his and my custom headgear menuentries when i watch to him. i hope i explained it right, my english is horrible.
  25. Thanks for the reply, your second solution works perfect for me. Btw, is it possible to made the actionmenu entry only for usable / visible for my own, so that i don't get actionmenu entry displayed from a other unit?
