    Server monetization program

    In my opinion, Mods for Arma should stay free for all. Because, when i pay for a Mod, i also want Support and Customer-Support can be very frustrating. So if people sell Mods, they should need to Support it until the last official Patch for the Game is released. That's my personal opinion and i know, creating Mods for Arma can be a full time work. But if people want to make money with their 3d-Work as example, there are other ways they can be collect some money (cgtrader, etc.). But what should be with Donations or Patreon, that Creators can use to collect some money from Fans, that would like to say thankyou.

    Yes you can use SteamCMD to download the Mods on your Root steamcmd.exe" +login <USER> <PASSWORD> +"workshop_download_item 107410 <WORKSHOP_ID>" validate +quit then you will find in your <steamcmd>\steamapps\workshop\content\107410\<WORKSHOP_ID> the files

    Unit Modpack Protection?

    As far as i know, it's possiible what you want with overwriting old Settings (aka Replacement Config), but keep in mind, the Client need both PBOs, so it's not a real protection. You can't really protect your things so that only your Unit can use it, because you share the Mod with Peoples you maybe not know personally. So if they grab it or share it with others, you loose a little bit of control on Distribution of Mods.

    X52 Profile should be work with X52 Pro too, since these are the same base. The Pro use only a little bit more Metal and has additional Function for the MFD.

    you can put these pbos maybe in the addons Folder of ace itself, or made an extra Modfolder for it. It's your choice, what you prefer.

    For ace there are ace compat rhs pbos, which made RHS compatible to ACE features (Ammo), you find these specific PBOs inside the @ace/additional Folder (When i am right)

    Just a small Question about the long term development plan of RHS. Are any Ideas or Plans about developing some bigger Ships later for both US and RU Forces? I mean Ships like the "Arleigh Burke-Class". It would be nice to have some time in the Future the ability, to use the full potential of the maritim-section in Arma 3 with Ships, bigger then a RHIB.
  8. Hello, today i would ask a small Questions about Insignias. Bohemia integrated this nice Feature, but at this time, it looks like that we can only use this Feature, when we have proper Script expirence. It's not as easy to assign a Insignia by default, since the insignia would disapear if the Person load a Arsenal Loadout. In the early version it was possible by using this code ["AmmoboxInit",[this,true]] call BIS_fnc_arsenal; To edit Voice, Faces and the Insignia, but a few patches back, the feature was disabled, and now it's only possible (as far as i personally know) to assign the Insignias via Scripting commands. But i am not a Scripter and there are no real Solutions for this on the Wiki only this sentence regarding why it was disabled: It would be nice, if Bohemia should explain, how Insignias can clashing with the Profile, when it's actually not possible to set an insignia through the profile. I can understand the why are Faces and Voice can't be edited but why also Insignias? It would be nice to have again the Option in Multiplayer, to select the insignia through the Arsenal, or is there a easy way to assign Insignias permanently to Units.
  9. It's not the first time, they remove Animations without a really important reason. Mods like RHS have Animations on Vehciles which are only for Immersion and most people like it. Bohemia remove Animations and tells, that a lot of people complained about that, because they was try to drive into it maybe. But why they wasn't made a real Poll, if they should remove a feature / animation like this? A lot of people are no real number, a lot of people can be 3 to X People, So when we only take this small Thread with it's poll we have at the time i was write my Answare this 175 Yes - We want the Animations 12 No - We don't want / need the Animations So i can say on this Thrad, a lot of people want the Animation back and a lot people don't want it back. But the Numbers say that more people want it back.
  10. Personally i would like to have the Animation back, sometimes it's only a little immersion when you land a Helicopter and open the Ramp to gave the signal, you can load in or get in. What i don't want is, to have several Addons or Scripts which bring back the disabled Animations.

    When you convert your Mission to 3D, you can't open it in 2D anymore. The "Import/Convert" work only in one way. And i was also try to set Choppers a little bit down, but it won't work. Also Zeus won't work until i respawn as Commander. So Eden make some special things to the Mission that cause this Error.

Hi Burnes, i was see, that you was show us a Video on the Leopard 2A4, are there any Progress since the Video was published by you, i mean this Video: it was published over a year ago, and our Group really want a Leopard 2A4 and we search a nice Model to be used by our Group. It would be nice if you have some Informations on the Leopard 2A4 beside your other Mods and Work.

    I have another small Questions, after importing the Mission in Eden Editor and Saving theme. Helicopters will spawn with Engines running on the LHD. Is there a way to prevent this? It's a little bit Annyoing that the GhostHawk lays on Side with Engines Running and get wrecked when going in. Also all LittleBirds are running, and i need to go arround on every Restart to shutdown manuall the Engines. Also Zeus don't working direct after Spawning as Commander, i need to Respawn that Zeus will work. It looks like that there is somehting fucked up with Eden

    For sure, RHS is fully loaded both on Server and Client, mission is packed as PBO. Limited Arsenal should work by the way, where i only have added the US-Armed Forces Assets. Edit: It should lock like, that Liberation just ignore the whole classnames_extnesions.sqf file. It don't use any ot the Assets i was add in this FIle.

    I was try to port Liberation to RHS, but i run into a problem, i was setup the classname_extensions.sqf but it won't use the new Vehicles at all, and personally i can't find the error, maybe some one can see a mistake i was made maybe: http://hastebin.com/aguyumupuv.md that's the whole classname_extenstions.sqf i was create for my RHS Port.

  19. This should not working as far as i know. You can name a Group, but this should only be affect the displayed Names when one person of this Group will write something in the Chat. But the Name itself will not be showen in the List. So if you Rename Alpha1-1 to MyAwsomeSquad Alpha1-1 will still be visible in during join, but if some one stil write something on the Chat, the custom Name will be displayed instead of Alpha1-1

    As far as i know, the BWMod Team still Aims to be compatibel to Arma 3 Vanilla Assets. So people can play the Mod without needing to add extra Mods. And when i am right, the RHS Armor System based also on extra informations that are melted in the 3d Models. And if you compare Vanilla vs. Vanilla and Vanilla vs. RHS you will notice that there is some difference in dealt Damage. So if BWMod should update to be compatible with RHS Armor System, people would need to download RHS too, to have some enemys that use the same Armor System. Please correct me if i was give some wrong informations.
  21. Hello, personally i dislike the change to the new Forum-Software, I have three main Reasons why i think so and i would like to share it. Design The new Forum looks to clean/white for me. Also some font's are set to small and are hard to read (for example the Fontsize and Color for change Date and Time in Thrads). Also the Forums width is set to small for me. I would like to have again a full width Forum instead of a small layout with 1170px as max width on a FullHD Screen. Advertisement On the old Forums, the Advert was placed above the Forum, that was ok for me. But now the new place after the first Thread and then after the first Topic in the Thread is annoying. Bugs Some Bugs appare, i was set up this Post 4 Times, and 3 Times i was get an error about my key when i was Try to preview it? So it's not allowed to switch between Tabs in my Browser, when i Type a new Thread/Topic? Personal Opinion about the Software IPB And beside this three Reasons, i personally dislike the IPB Software, personally i would prefere WBB instead of IPB. But thats not the Fact why i dislike the Chnage.

    Why are Insignias removed from MP-Arsenal?

    I think this would not get much attention by BIS Dev's since only a handful people talk about such a request. Some times i personally think, BIS think that the Community will handle such request instead of providing self a complete solution if it comes to scripting. That's only a personal opinion how it looks. And i know that BIS Dev's are already bussy in Developing the Expansion and Fixing problems and improving the Game. But as i wrote before, that it would be nice when BIS Dev's officialy show a way to do some Scripting things, since not all people have expirience in Scripting or Programming and only need 1 or 2 Scripts. Like me and our Unit, we use Zeus and ALiVE to develope our Missions, so we have no self created Scripts, and a pobleme like this is hard to resolve if the only Solution in the Wiki show, how to add fast a insignia to a Unit if they doesn't change his loadout through Arsenal, and no JIP Feature is required. But since we are playing in MP and some times JIP is needed, it's hard to have no solution or the Option to assign the Insignia through the Arsenal by the person himself.
  24. All in One should be an additional option in my personal opinion. Personal i would prefere a modular System, since not every Unit wants every Map, and also Updating single Maps should be easyer.

    it would be nice, if there should be a better Tutorial / Example for Perople like me, to use the Insignias then. The Wiki is intended for persons which are already own skills in Programming. As i wrote before, when i assign Insignias though the initbox of a unit. The Insignia still disappears when he/she loads or customize his loadout (especially Uniform) in Arsenal. Another point why it should be by default enabled in the Arsenal for Multiplayer Games in my opinion. In our Unit, we use the SquadXML to display the Main-Unit and want the insignia to display the Sub-Unit. But we have no "Group Management" System which are able to asisgn custom Insignias. Also as i wrote in front, when i assign the insignia through the initbox of a unit as a mission-designer, it still disapears after customizing the loadout (Uniform) in Arsenal. i totally agree with BadHabitz statement, but if the System is intended to only be used by "mission designer, by Group Management, or by any other system" it should be better documenteaded for Persons which are new in Scripting or have less expirence. An example how to use it with "Scripts" on different Groups or Units on a MP-Mission which uses Arsenal for customizing Uniform / Loadouts would be very nice.
