    Back on topic, I have been doing a little testing with these vehicles, and wow we are in for a treat! They have so many features that most vehicle don't have. They have deployable camo netting, a usable commando mortar-also usable by AI. You can drive seated or standing, and you can stand up and fire your own weapon from the drivers position!

    They also have a refueling system, and their storage area visually changes depending what is put in it. If you put a launcher, radio, designator etc in the inventory, it will be represented on the model.

    Lastly-a neat feature, when placed into a cargo vehicle such as a c-130 or Chinook, straps will appear to show that it is securely strapped down. An awesome detail!

    HI there may i know how you load this 6x6 into the Helo and secured it? i've tried alot of times placing it behind an opened ramp (RHS helo) and there is no user action menu for me to choose to load this 6x6 as cargo :O

Hi guys, I am absolutely loving the F/A-18F variant at the moment, flying it is a blast and I have longed to act as a weapons officer on coop missions, thus you have made myself and my group extremely happy by giving us not just an effective but damn cool Strike Fighter to fly. However, I have hit some sort of a snag with the GBU38's and their GPS targeting system. I have looked back through many pages but haven't seen anything of the issue and if I missed it, please forgive me.

    The GPS Targeting system on both the Echo and Foxtrot variants seems to be random at best. I have been flying around for the past hour trying to set targets to destroy and its taken me that whole hour to drop five of my six GBU38's. No matter what distance, heading, speed or altitude I am from the target I cannot get the GPS to consistently work. 90% of the time I get a map marker and nothing else, so I clear the target and restart and again the same until eventually I get a target to hit. When I try the same thing again, setting up a new target the problem resets itself and once again I am flying back and forth trying to get a target down to bomb.

    Am I missing something? I've read both the pilots manual and the readme and didn't see anything about having certain conditions to be met other than clearing any current targets, marking a new one, using the vanilla lock methods and then releasing. I am by no means trying to criticize your outstanding work, simply point out a slight bug (or find out what I am doing wrong). I have been playing with the Black Wasp too and it suffers the same problem with the 38's, however, the smaller bombs (I forget their names but the 250lbs with the wings) seem to work fine.

    Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read my post, absolutely stellar work gentlemen!

    I'm facing the same issues as you :( i tried flying around marking targets for GPS/INS JDAM strike but randomly the GPS/INS will not appear or no lock at all. I've even tested it only with F/A 18 mod on and still having this inconsistent issue, the GBU 38(500lbs), GBU 32(1000lbs) and GBU 31(2000lbs) the same catergory bombs are having some werid issues with the GPS/ins targeting. Now i know im not alone ><

Hi guys, i'm having a weird issue with the GPS/INS :( i tested it in my server with all the different mods and also tested it with ONLY the F18 n MCC mod only.  The problem is, i tried to do a JDAM 500lbs to 2000lbs bomb drop but for the first few targets im able to find and lock on the the "GPS Target" boxes, After awhile i can no longer see the GPS Target anymore and my jet radar also cant see any red target indicator anymore. . . .is there anything i need to know more about the GPS/INS for this mod? i used it normally marked and erased everytime i changed to different targets but sometimes the GPS/INS targeting system just dont work anymore :( can someone help me or elaborate to me thanks ! :huh:


  4. A very awesome sound mod~ however i noticed something wrong, it's about the GPS targeting system. Whenever i set my GPS target active for a JDAM bombing run, after i'm done with the CAS i cant clear away the GPS target waypoint, i've tried clicking it a few times but no luck :( FYI i've tried the original F-18x Wasp without the RS sound and the GPS is working fine, can someone clarify this?

For those who duno about MRAP please go check the specs out ( http://www.navistardefense.com/NavistarDefense/vehicles?filter=1&v1=v1 ), the Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected is not meant for speed or maneuverability~ its V-shaped hull to deflect IED blasts away from the vehicle and its a very heavy duty vehicle. I must say this is an awesome mod i really love it~! a few things to point out are the braking and pip, as for the sound if its possible to be able to be compatible with JSRS HEMTT sound that will be great, why? because the raw engine and turbo sound really suits the MRAP and sounded alike just like real life based on my experience.


  6. Cfgvehicle.hpp is for vehicle and units, when you config a unit you have to config the weapon.cfg (uniform itself) and the vehicle.cfg (unit who wear it), here you need to open the vehicle.cfg

    Maybe in the uniforms folder I don't know ;)

    OK i tried and added " hiddenSelections[] = {"Camo", "insignia"}; " to the cfg but the logo never appear when i use the insignia in game, the uniform im using now actually got U.S flag on it, will this affect your Insignia mod? :( i'm currently using the USSOCOM 75th Ranger, Navy SEALs DEVGRU and Delta Force (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=19132) and US Marine Corp and MARSOC units (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=22749) by Massi, maybe you wanna take a look at it.


  7. Hi, it will only works on vanilla (and retextured) uniforms, so if you use for example A2 port uniform it wont work unless you add the "insignia" selection on it. (Don't know how).

    For A3 retextured uniform you have to eddit the hiddenSelections as explain in the HowToUse.txt in the mod.

    You have to open the .pbo, find the cfgvehicles.hpp ( if you don't have it, try to unrap the config.bin)

    @dybite : I think the vehicles function is not working yet ;)

    The Cfgvehicle.hpp is for vehicle only or uniform? im kinda confuse now, i'm done with dePbo but i saw alot config.bin files, some of them are in the category folder and there is one main config.bin, which one should i unrap?

  8. Hi all, be advised that I'll probably make an update to day.

    Answers to some questions :

    • There is two ways to add Insignia on your units
      - First : Use this function Here (You'ill find classnames on the next updates)
      - Second : Use the VS (arsenal). You can have it in MP with this :
      this addAction["Arsenal", {["Open",true] spawn bis_fnc_arsenal;}];

      (add it to a box for example)
      They should work on vanilla units (NATO/AAF/CSAT uniforms)

    • Insignias will not work on custom units if they aren't updated. To do so make sure to update the "hiddenSelections" of your units (cfgVehicles.hpp).
      hiddenSelections[] = {"Camo", "insignia"};


    Here is a test in MP server

    And a second test with a mate to be sure

    @ghostnineone : You can only have insignias and patches on uniform. And they should work on vanilla units.

    @Clawhammer : The patch is not include (yet). The mod is =ARC= Nato Offensive, but US units are not avaible in public release yet.

    Hi Soronelite, may i know how to change the "Hiddenselections"? i'm not sure how to edit my modded uniform to have the insignia/patches, would u mind explaining? i wanna allow my custom uniform to able to use your wonderful insignia :D

    Hi sir did you manage to make the insignia mod work on custom uniform mod? i'm trying to add the ( hiddenSelections[] = {"Camo", "insignia"}; ) to some of my uniform mods but i can't find the Config.bin after i depbo the mod, is there any other ways to do it?

At the time I was starting to do it, the USMC was looking for a replacement for the SAW (which of course ended up as the M27 IAR) and this was a contender, and it had a sort of cool but basic layout and as a virtual weapon its nice to take to the range and just plink away as well :D. I may decide on the Mk8, but the "Mk5" I'm working on now is actually more focused on texture work. The weapon should be as capable as the real thing (one Singapore military member said he fired it all day and it didn't move an inch when firing, so...) but again... may do the Mk8.... maybe not.

    But for now the focus is:

    - Getting the SCAR tweaked

    - Tweak basic weapon textures (I "like" them so far but I got some more textures to play with so I may retexture it yet again....).

    Cool to hear you are doing the MK5, i was a SAW gunner and GPMG gunner when i was in Singapore Armed Forces, i fired the Ultimax and FN Mag GPMG for very long term. Yes, Ultimax is very low recoil and you can even one handed and spam it ^^ but this gun tends to jam alot. IF you need more info drop me a message. :bounce3:


  11. Most are for the pilot but some only apply to the gunner. It also depends whether it's multiplayer or not. If you get out of the helicopter with the engines running, you will have to engage the rotor brake and redo the startup procedure again.

    This version isn't equipped with flares, only chaff; this is controlled exclusively by the pilot with the game default countermeasures key ®.

    Ahh ic! thx for the info! im trying out everything now :bounce3: now im trying to get the arming dialog to work im so confuse.

    Nice key mapping :) majority of the avionics are control by Gunner or pilot? i noticed one issue when i accidentally exit the heli, i went back in and all my avionics are on except APU but i cant start the heli anymore :(

    P.S how to pop IR flare and Chaff flare?

In my humble opinion to the creator/modder, he should make the standard issued SAR21 (Singapore Assault Rifle0 21) first and the attachment can use the BIS default for the time being, SAR21 built in scope are the scope used on Steyr Aug. Last but not least, can you make the pixelated camo more saturated aka more deeper green? it will look perfect :)
