  1. Woah I've missed a lot! Sorry to let you down on the Handbook Sav! I did the first 10 pages or so, but I've had a pretty crazy few months. I moved out of my parents house and down to the Capital, started a new job etc. I'm so pissed that I still haven't got a PC down here now though! I've been waiting for this for so long haha!

    Still, glad it all worked out for you, I can't fuckin' wait to load this up! I'm hoping to build a monster PC, so this might just run with no lag, eh? ;)

    Just maybe another three months or so...


  2. I was about to say, this isn't really an old thread, but look at that. The last post was back in November! This is the right place though, hopefully someone will be able to answer you. I'd be quite interested too. If you don't get an answer in the next few days/ week, I'd recommend posting in the thread for the up and coming release (2.5)

  3. Good to know it's being fixed! I've got another error in the rpt, which is probably caused by the on map mortar pieces:

    Cannot load sound 'vehicles\gun_elevate.wss'
    

    I use these two vehicles:

    #define MORTARVC "Uns_2b14_82mmMortarVC"

    #define MORTARUS "Uns_M252"

    There's also a graphics glitch with the trees, there are white spots all over the place, but only at certain angles it seems:

    Also, are there any US repair, refuel and reammo vehicles? I'd like to use them for a maintenance shop at base. Right now I use the NVA truck and a MTVR...

    Is there any chance to add larger icons for huts and buildings to the map? On the editor it's quite tough to find the location of the buildings and place a LZ accordingly.

    I have that tree problem on pretty much all Unsung maps apart from lowlands...

    There are US Repair, Refuel and Reammo trucks in operation lowlands, don't know if that helps?


  4. Had some time to kill, so designed some logos. Don't have to use 'em if you don't want to.

    Choose whichever and use them how you see fit. If you want a slight variation on one just ask.

  5. Does anyone have any decent servers they regularly play on that actually use teamwork and tactics?

    I've used the 82nd airbourne server a bit and that uses some element of teamwork, but most servers are pretty lame. Just people running around on their own and just rush the enemy getting shot to shit. I'm mainly sick of people who don't even know the basic command controls, really inexperienced.

    So does anybody know any decent servers (with or without ace) that will actually stick together as squads and co-ordinate attacks?


  6. Right, I'll give that a shot when I'm next on. It was just when I went down from all the RPG fire I got mildly patched up by 6 (Who as you can see from the screenshot is not a medic). Useful to know how to heal them back at base (6 still isn't healed).

    That makes sense then. How did you take those screenshots to look so good? Did you just crop the reticule and command system out of the screen or what?


  7. Definitely! How do you select one troop without looking at them, and how do you get a troop to heal another troop even if they're not a medic.

    Man, my last two lowland patrols haven't gone so well.

    The first one I caught a Huey to the furthest Vill in our AO. We got off the Huey, approached the Vill. Nearly got there when out of fucking nowhere an RPG is fired and smashes clean into one of my men. Killing him and the two around him. Then 2 more RPG's hit us, killing another 2 and wounding myself. At this point grunt 6 runs to my aid and gets me back on my feet. While he's healing me another RPG opens up and destroys the other guy. Now it's just me and 6. I have us retreat to some long grass to conceal ourselves and call the Huey. We wait and it turns up and takes us back. We're both uber fucked up. Properly on last legs. Luckily I made it out of that one.

    I then decided it was time to hit Charlie at night. We head up to a Vill up the road in a truck. I used some initiative when we started getting hit. I turned the trucks lights on and pointed it in the general direction of the enemy, thus dazing them and giving us the advantage of being able to see them. Mopped up pretty easily. Decided to patrol around. No contact what so ever, so no charlie hunting. Got back to base with one 3 casualties.

    BIG QUESTION!! (Not really...) I was wondering how has your character got his helmet on? Mine always just has a bandana and a helmet behind his head. Pisses me off...
