    Far Cry 4

True but regarding weapon handling, weapon reloading and movement animations, attachments (although you have to use mods to have them all in SP - WTF) its way better then FC2.

    Grand Theft Auto V

Your right of course but I was thinking more in line of they did a good port PC port and put some love and effort in it. More then with GTA IV so they might again for GTA V.

    Oh dude, its GTA! :)

    Grand Theft Auto V

It might be. Max Payne 3 was optimized pretty well I think. I cant wait though. Its one of rare games left that Ill buy the minute its released and I was trying to avoid spoilers so far as much as possible.

I watched all of his "reviews" a while back and its pretty hilarious. Good stuff.

    Battlefield 4

Not as good as BF3? BF3 "netcode" was still shit. Atleast they are trying I guess. Will test it later.

IIRC the game auto adjusts to that weather and time at beginning of that mission though. Graphics are far worse and the game still has quite severe performance issues.

    Battlefield: Hardline

It was in BF2, yes, but time to kill was much longer there so you had plenty of time to retreat and reconsider. In BF4, on some maps and game modes, rooftop camping makes hardcore unplayable. It would usually take huge team effort to counter that and good luck with that on public servers. Your lucky to get med or ammo pack every now and then. Im not sure if there even is any kind of organized environment in BF4. Its pretty much public only. Features like that usually only endorse noob tube/grenade/rpg spamming. Further more, and I dont want to be a dick about it, but there is a good chance you will be able glitch on some most impossible spots and they will need 3 months to patch it. MAV in BF3 etc. I hope it works but looking at how BF3 and especially 4 went, Im very skeptical about it.

    Battlefield: Hardline

This grappling hook thing seems terrible. Thats exactly what we need, more rooftop campers.

What do you mean, save files got corrupted?

Yeah, first person camera in WD is waste of their time imo due to how the whole driving works. If cars would accelerate and handle like real cars (atleast something like GTA 4), AI driving, AI reacting, not being able to just crush everything, more realistic damage and shooting out of vehicles then 1st person would be usable. I was more comparing how WD might evolve like FC did or, like Alpha Whiskey Romeo mentioned, AC did. On side note, drinking game with weird mouse acceleration/smoothing... WTF really.

If this becomes a franchise, Im thinking Far Cry 2 was first that Ubi made and it was pretty bad in some aspects. Driving was one of them. Far Cry 3 was much better in most ways. So maybe it gets better. I didnt turn this game yet but story telling seems pretty solid for the most part. They just need fully develop parts of the game. I.E. Stealth; its good for the most part but would be much better if you could drag guards body around the corner so when his buddy returns he isnt freaked out by a body. And dragging it immediately like in Dishonored not dropping on the floor first.

@Alpha Whiskey Romeo, thats pretty much how I would sum it up. If I just add, driving is very bad but worst thing about it is you cant start moving any vehicle without massive burnouts and engine revving so people on the street are running all over the place. Luckily most times they evade your vehicle pretty good but sometimes they just throw themselves under your wheels. Tapping your acceleration key sometimes kind of works to start moving gently but npcs are running all over the place anyway. More often then not I hear "driving is good, every car feels different" in reviews for these type of game or even racing games and I am thinking, what kind of remark is that? Of course sports car drives different to sedan or a van. Well, in Watch Dogs, thats hardly the case. It is a shame because driving is a huge portion of the game. In one review I heard smooth cover system. It is everything but that. You have one key to get into it. With this same key you seek other cover and move to it. Then you have another key to get out of cover. It is very hard or even impossible to get out of cover by simply pressing/holding move back key like you can in most other games. Dedicated key to get out of cover is usually bad news. All in all, you get stuck in cover a lot and get killed for it. Auto sneaking is very annoying as well. You cannot crouch or sneak on your own, only when game thinks its appropriate for you to do so. Only game when that really worked is Tomb Raider but that was a narrow and very scripted game for the most part. Switching weapons and gadgets beyond hotkeys on PC is extremely clunky and awkward. That wheel is not working well for mouse and keyboard at all.

    Battlefield: Hardline

Cool, you already posted. Could be nice to have infantry type Battlefield game if they sort the "netcode" out. Not much more we know about it though.
  15. Is there a way to change Field of View in Campaign?

    Battlefield 4

There was some talk about police themed Battlefield game few months ago. I guess they might be making it.

    Battlefield 4

Yeah, BF3 and especially 4 has the best quality regarding weapons and its animations by far. Nothing can compare to it really, just as it cant compare with its budget though. BF4 was probably the first game to implement reloading in stages. I.E. if you put in new magazine, cancel reloading and switch back to the weapon it doesnt insert same magazine again. It just cocks the gun if necessary. Things like that take a lot of work I imagine.

You do have flying Vespas though.

    Battlefield 4

Lack of minimap does render recon class useless. But having minimap also enables audio spotting which spots you on minimap whenever you fire unsuppressed weapon. There was huge discussion about this when BF3 was released to have an option to remove audio spotting but DICE never implemented it. There is plenty of custom servers with minimap enabled and health on 60%. Or even softcore settings (orange triangles over heads etc.) with HC health. However, one would be surprised how many players use quck play thing or doesnt use filters so those servers are mostly empty. I always search for servers with health set to 60%. Sometimes I get lucky and there is clan that owns normal server with HC health on it.

    Battlefield 4

I see a lot of BF veterans even prefer softcore for some reason. Furthermore some feel time to kill is still too short. Granted in vanilla BF2 ttk was quite long and that was one of my gripes with it. I suppose they prefer tracking over twitch skill.

    Battlefield 4

Maybe on LAN (although I dont see any option for LAN in "civilian" copy of the game) but online? With that "netcode"? Psh, please. It was bad enough in BF3 and that game had way less problems. But yeah, BF could be really good for that such of thing on larger scale. If its played 5v5 domination or CTF, then there is plenty of better games out there for that.
  22. Yeah, I figured. Gunplay is good for the most part if you forget about weird keybindings (just noticed that lean keys are combined with tank sight elevation or smt). Its just too bad they havent been able to make SP good. BF2's SP was the same way basically MP with bots and was great fun for example. Even Arma 1 had a mode, sector control I think it was called with AI that worked great despite all the clunky movement. Too bad it was broken in one of the latest patches.
  23. OK, so I have: Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad - Single Player Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad Beta Rising Storm Beta Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 Multiplayer Therefore betas are like dev branch and MP is stable version if I understand correctly. Anyway, I fired up Single Player and I do not have any kind words for it Im afraid. Its pretty much the same as at release which is too bad because it could be good fun with a bit of polish and tweaks. AI is still plain retarded and there is insane stuttering at the start of the mission for like 20-30s and then 60FPS. Sometimes it stutters near the end as well. Also I dont understand some of the keybindings. I.E.: you have an option to split keys for cover/bandage/use/etc functions but not for single shot/melee/etc. This is really bad. Why didnt they just made it so weapon changes fire mode instead of using some other key than LMB to fire single shot.
  24. Cool, got the game and installing. Thanks for info Moerderhosch. Although I also have RO2 Beta and Rising Storm Beta in my library. Whats the deal with this?
