Is there any way to pull stuff like players, what mission is running etc, to display on a webpage? Like, does the server have a port you can connect to and grab that information, then parse it and display on website..

Well I still vote for reverting the miniguns on the helis both on angles and manual fire..

According to the US Navy Training and Regulations manual for the UH-1Y, deploying fixed-forward guns and rockets is part of the "CORE SKILL BASIC PHASE" of pilot training. So can you please put back manual fire aswell thanks. But if you want to FIX the UH-1Y, it has a Gau-16 7.62(M134) on one side and a Gau-17 .50 cal on the other, not two M134's... :)

If you introduce these type of changes, why don't you copy the classes and make new ones with these changes? Its just some lines of code.. That way the people who want your "fixed" vehicles can use those classes in missions instead and the rest of us stick to the old ones.. I enjoy playing overpoch mostly these days, but I'm also the guy that created Takistan Life so I have some experience with vanilla A2/OA aswell.. Back in TakiLife the venom and blackhawk were the "deadliest" helicopters you could get, and the same usually goes for most non-militarized overpoch servers I've played on.. So trust me when I'm saying that removing manual fire and restricting the mounted gun angles like this really destroys a large aspect of gameplay in both vanilla A2/OA mods and dayz mods. Same thing with offroad speed really.. Belongs in ACE.. It just makes things slow and boring for the main part. Or why not make it a mission config thing so you can define how much impact offroading will have on speed? I played alot of ACE mp missions and I think that if you want to go with realism, it's ACE you should be playing.. I've said it before, and others have aswell.. This late in the games life, is not the time to "nerf" things that affect gameplay in such a huge aspect.. But about weapons and all the zeroing stuff, I think that more, if not all, weapons should have zeroing..

Could I point out that almost all weapons should have zeroing.. The Aimpoint on my G3 irl has knobs too.. All optical sights in the game have knobs infact.. So why dont all weapons have zeroing?

This is a UH-1Y with M134 on the right side and Gau-21 .50 cal on the left side.. Gau-21 on the left M134 no right side in same type of mount As for the manual fire by the pilot.. Haven't bothered looking up any evidence if this is possible, perhaps not to change between a door gunner and pilot during flight but is it really that far-fetched that it could be rigged to be remotely fired by the pilot? I mean the AH6J can do it, I'm sure the same fireing mechanism can be used in a UH-1Y, and locking the swivel mount to a fixed forward position is seen in these pics already..

I use manual fire in venom and blackhawk all the time... So I'm complaining... And I'm pretty sure everyone who play on servers where these helis are the most armed helis you can have are also complaining... Also, the base game is not all realism.. And we don't want it to be.. If I want it like that I'll play with ACE tbh.. Fix back the miniguns/manual fire, revert changes on weapons and restore vehicle offroad speeds please!

Why is it not realistic? I have seen videos of gunships such as blackhawk and armed hueys where the side guns can be locked in a forward pointing position and weapon fire controls controlled by the pilot and/or co-pilot. I vote that all the weapon and vehicle nerfs/fixes including manual fire and aiming angles, as well as offroad speed nerfs are reverted.. If it aint broke, dont fix it... Not this late in the game..

Just took a drive in my SUV and boy.. Bicycle does twice the speed in the forest now.. 40ish compared to the SUV at 15-20km/h.. This is getting more annoying the more changes I notice.. :( Make the game fun again kkthx, and leave the realism fixes to mods like ACE... This aint the time to do massive game balance changes, stick to the bugfixes...

I agree that the nerfs to the miniguns on venom, blackhawk etc need to be reverted, it really breaks gameplay especially on servers where the most powerful air vehicles are helis like blackhawk and venom with disabled rockets.. I've only played a few minutes on overpoch sofar and one thing I noticed is that the HK 417 SD Acog has "Zeroing 189" displayed now.. It can't be changed with zeroing up/down however.. I realize that weapon is a custom overwatch gun, but the issue comes from changes in a parent class and just looks wierd, I mean 189? Maybe look into that..? Also someone mentioned classnames were changed? For which classes? Doing something like that is going to break EVERYTHING, missions, mods etc that used those classes and is honestly retarted if its true.. Fix! I also noticed particles aren't rendered anymore on the server by adding some !(isDedicated) checks, although that should honestly be hardcoded in the server executable itself, it's nice that stuff like that is sorted out in SOME way.. :) I'm really hoping for a hotfix before this weekend is over.. It's nice to see that you're working on fixing things! Now just need to fix the fixes ;)

Anyone happen to know how overwatch/epoch/overpoch is affected by this patch? For example how weapons and vehicles from the overwatch classes are affected.. I haven't looked into how the weapon and vehicle classes have been defined in overwatch, if all values are copied/altered from the standard classes or if anything is inherited.. Wondering if someone's gonna have to overhaul all the DZ_ classes in overwatch and make an update for the mods to enjoy the fixes in this patch.. :o

Has any development version been released yet? Because I changed, and it didnt download anything new from steam.. -
Up until network packets started being encrypted, we have logged ALL incoming packets to the game server to be able to catch hackers. To scan logfiles for function or classname etc to see who sent the hack commands to the server, worked flawlessly and we have been able to ban pretty much every single hacker. What about the battleye script detection? That solution is not very good to be honest. It scans scripts on the client side, not what is actually executed and sent to the server. In order for that to work, you need to exactly know how the hack script looks, because(at least in our case) if we were to match for "setpos", "setdamage", "createvehicle", the logs would just fill up with legit commands that the mission uses, and it would be much much harder to find the hacker(since we wouldnt know WHEN he actually executed the hacks). So, I ask would it be possible to somehow be able to log incoming network traffic to the game server port? Or for server admins to choose if they want the network packets encrypted or not? The hackers have already hacked the packet encryption so right now they have the advantage. Preed / Urban Life Community

We recently changed our mission over to Combined Operations and added A2 weapons and vehicles. However, players who dont have CO can still connect and play even if they only have OA, this causes issues like you might guess.. How do I make it so that they get kicked when trying to join with missing content? -

Hi Im wondering if it is possible through scripting to fire a vehicle weapon blind(straight ahead) without having a target. With or without a gunner. All the functions I have seen(fire, dofire, useweapon etc) all require targets. The idea is to be able to use some kind of suppressive fire, or have AI wingmates do a strafe run by basically firing at the position the squad leader is shooting at.. Either by ordering the AI to fire blind, or an eventhandler that fires the wingmate planes weapons when the squad leader fires.. -

Hmm, well that might work.. Not sure how to do the eventhandler though, can't you only use mousebuttondown, keydown etc events on display eventhandlers/ctrl eventhandlers? Also, might get laggy if I want to imitate firing a Gsh-301 or something else with a high rof.. -

And also its not just about the hackers from DayZ.. The quality(age?) of the players coming onto our RP server has dropped down the shitter, which in turn has led to our tolerance for bullcrap drop aswell.. Basically if you knock down a teammate in police HQ now, you get a perm ban, where previously you would probably get off with a warning and be told to go read the rules...
