  1. @fury211

I'm going to lay it out for you, in simple terms.

You just walked, into an evangelical church, ... and told everyone: there is no :jesus:

    What'd you expect :D

    A shit storm. :D

Honestly. I understand it's fun for you guys. my experience is different.

Don't take it personal, but the first impression of the full game is pretty bad, and the impression I got from the free version was killer.

Order yourself to open fire? You just... fire. I think there's more to learn :)

my icon is marked as hold fire. therefore any thing i command is going to hold fire. so my group gets in an apc and I can't command them to fire at anything.

I'd also like to point out an important feature of the ArmA series.

ArmA is not player-centric. Meaning the player isn't required to fulfill all objectives by themselves. An objective only needs to be completed and it can be completed by anyone, including AI.

when they listen to you. you have to order them individually to go to an objective. and god help you if you want them to mount up. they check our base out for 3 minutes to make certain there's no one in the grass.

That seems to be on the least paranoid combat setting too.

  2. You should go through the training missions to help understand the game. I played them not long ago and ran into no issues of any kind.

Hold Fire? Using "Backspace" will open up the full command menu. To select units, you must press F1-F12 according to unit number. As I've said, go through the training missions as they cover some important aspects.

i've tried that on myself and it's grayed out.

    any other unit is fine.

    isn't a pebcak

  3. And you say your getting all kinds of bugs that are making the game totally unplayable, huh?

Have you tried simply placing yourself in the editor and a few AI units to test this "buggyness"

No not yet. still new to the whole thing. wanted to learn prior to playing around the other features.

So far it's been fun and frustrating. the frustration is definitely removing the fun part.

The first and biggest bug i've had besides the save game corruption is how to get myself out of the hold fire status? I can't order myself to open fire like the others, and I don't see a toggle.

  6. I bought mine on Steam as well. No problems whatsoever. I've completed the campaign several times as well with no problems.

    What are your computer specifications?

you have had none of the issues i've stated in my first post?

running a core i7 with 6 gig of ram, Geforce GTX 280.

---------- Post added at 06:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:11 PM ----------

    I'd suggest a hardware problem.

I don't think so. I'm not seeing any issues with other games on this system.

I love attack posts. I like the little *thud* noise as the perp is dropped into ban heaven.

    Could give a shit.

I paid good money for a turd sandwich. I honestly really like the intent of the game. but these bugs are driving me into hating it's guts.

  7. I mean seriously? has any of you played the campaign to test?

I cannot believe you released this.

Here is a list of the issues I've had so far.

    1. Units do not obey orders. yes. I find it hillarious to sit and watch my squad who I ordered to mount an apc to walk around for 3 minutes before deciding to board the truck.

    2. when you order more then one unit to a location they don't go there. they go anywhere but to that location.

    3. somehow when you get injured, the team decides to tell the entire army you ammased to hold fire. then go attack nearest enemies. and dismount. also they order you to hold fire. then if you manage to get healed by the corpsman you have a permanent hold fire on cooper so now no one shoots when you're commanding a vehicle. brilliant.

    4. No reinforcement bugs. I cannot reinforce with a T72 more then 2 times. then it permanently says cannot reinforce due to GRO. also in dogs of war the aircraft factories are broken. this is patch 1.10 .

    5. Save file corruption. that was fun. blew away a whole day of success.

6 npc's steal mission equipment if you get out at a base. that was fun on lopotev's mission.

these are just some of what i've had to deal with instead of enjoy your game.

I swear to god you people owe me a new keyboard.
