  1. Sorry, let me back up a bit -- the anims for the L1A1 and "retro" FALs in Toadie's NIArms pack were created by someone else -- not by Toadie.  The DSA FALs in his pack have a really nice Toadie-like animation. I never understood why the Toadie animation wasn't carried over to the other FALs in the pack.  

     

    Not a dig, just an observation. 😉

     

    Is there any update on the FAL for GREF though? 🙂


  2. Not sure if this is the right thread to discuss a GREF issue, but the sights on the M1 Garand are just terrible. They're superbly modeled -- but nearly impossible to use as-is.  In real life the eye focuses on the front sight and the target, and the rear peep sight is blurred (not so in-game).  Other games (and mods) get around this by making the rear peep sight a large ring.  The M16s in RHS seem to do this a bit. Any chance the Garand model can be updated to match?  Acquiring targets thru the current sights is just god awful.  The weapon is so well done otherwise... such a shame it's barely usable in-game!


  3. I vaguely remember seeing a post in this thread (maybe it was the OP that has since been edited) that appeared to show a bunch of "one off" weapons that were in the works - stuff like an SMLE, Sterling, Sten, etc.  Any idea what happened to that?

     

    I'd love a little bit more variety in the available A3 weapons.  ARs and AKs are great but having some more vintage stuff would be most welcome. Especially with the excellent animations and ballistics toadie provides!

  4. OK, so to use the "waitUntil" option, I would place that before each unit's gear script in their init box? Or would I place it into the loadouts.sqf file before everything?

     

    Also - for CBA_fnc_globalExecute, would I want to execute the script on all, clients, or server?  And would this be executed from the init.sqf file, calling a "crate_loadouts.sqf" file?  I'm unfortunately not very good at scripting (despite working in software development...) and the order of initialization for arma missions escapes me.
