Sorry, let me back up a bit -- the anims for the L1A1 and "retro" FALs in Toadie's NIArms pack were created by someone else -- not by Toadie. The DSA FALs in his pack have a really nice Toadie-like animation. I never understood why the Toadie animation wasn't carried over to the other FALs in the pack. Not a dig, just an observation. 😉 Is there any update on the FAL for GREF though? 🙂- 16550 replies

Not sure if this is the right thread to discuss a GREF issue, but the sights on the M1 Garand are just terrible. They're superbly modeled -- but nearly impossible to use as-is. In real life the eye focuses on the front sight and the target, and the rear peep sight is blurred (not so in-game). Other games (and mods) get around this by making the rear peep sight a large ring. The M16s in RHS seem to do this a bit. Any chance the Garand model can be updated to match? Acquiring targets thru the current sights is just god awful. The weapon is so well done otherwise... such a shame it's barely usable in-game!- 16550 replies

Does anyone have any tutorials or advice on how to use the AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missiles with the F-16C? I equip the HTP and hit "search for radar targets" and nothing seems to happen. -

It's funny, but I find myself continuously throwing away such modern hi-tech stuff as SCAR-Hs and M4A1s to pick up insurgent Lee-Enfields during the OA campaign. I also use them to great effect in multiplayer games and SP zombie missions. Nothing fells an infected guy like a .303 Mark VII round to the chest. Anyone else experience this? Maybe I'm partial to old rifles because I own a bunch of them, but personally I find nothing more fun than fighting fancy hi-tech militaries carrying FN SCARs and AK-107s with a rifle made in 1943.

I vaguely remember seeing a post in this thread (maybe it was the OP that has since been edited) that appeared to show a bunch of "one off" weapons that were in the works - stuff like an SMLE, Sterling, Sten, etc. Any idea what happened to that? I'd love a little bit more variety in the available A3 weapons. ARs and AKs are great but having some more vintage stuff would be most welcome. Especially with the excellent animations and ballistics toadie provides! -

I'm curious if it would be possible to add a setting that enables the ACE wounding mechanism. Right now we're playing with ACE enabled, and the revive system (obviously) interferes with it. Any ideas?

How to make AI units board a C-130, fly to an airport, and get out?

On the surface, this seems like it would be simple. But as is all too often the case with Arma, of course it isn't! I'd like a squad of AAF soldiers to board a C-130 (the only transport aircraft available, thanks to the RHS mods...) at an airport, fly to a destination, land the C-130, and disembark. This seems like it would be very, very easy to accomplish. But it isn't! After hours of googling and fooling around in the editor, I've decided to cut my losses and ask the good gentlemen of this forum if they have any suggestions. I'm using Sahrani (the great terrain from ArmA1). Here's how I have it setup currently: 1. The squad is sitting on the tarmac of the Rahmadi airport in the southwest. The C-130 is a BLUFOR unit synced to a "probability of presence: 0" AAF unit with the rank of Colonel (making the BLUFOR C-130 into an Independent unit). 2. The squad receives a GET IN waypoint on the C-130 (LOAD does not work as the C-130 isn't part of the squad, and making the C-130 part of the squad meant it spawned in the hills behind the airport, exploding in the process (I love Arma).) 3. The squad receives a MOVE waypoint to a destination several kilometers southeast of the Antigua island (way northeast in Sahrani). 4. The squad receives a GET OUT waypoint on the Antigua airfield. What am I doing wrong? Half the time, the squad boards the plane, and as it tries to take off, it just crashes into trees as it seems to try to taxi all the way to its MOVE waypoint. It doesn't attempt to taxi to the end of the runway and take off as normal. Sometimes the troops just stand there and don't even board the aircraft. I love and hate this game. -

Still having trouble with it - I'm also using the AiA Sahrani and not the SMD Sahrani. I wonder if the airports are correctly coded in AiA Sahrani?
