  1. Well, I at least port forwarded 2302 and set myself up on DMZ. I also disabled my OS firewall all together, so I suppose it is something on his end. I don't see how though because he hosted a game and one of his friends played with him just fine (his friend hosted too). I'm just ready to give up on it and find a clan I suppose. Thanks for the help though.

One of my clan mates offered a plausible explanation for the situation: he told me some routers are just incompatible and the only way to play together is through a middle man. I wasn't sure at first but it makes sense. I even tried a VPN to no avail. So I'll just get a middleman I suppose. I thank you all for your time and advice. Or I'll just have him hardline into his modem, whichever. Peace.

  2. My friend and I just bought this game and have encountered some frustrating issues. I've tried to google my problem before asking on the forum so I didn't look completely incompetent -- no luck :/ I don't want to host a dedicated server or anything I just want to host co-op missions with my buddy once in awhile. After like a minute of gameplay, he always loses connection with the message "no message received" (with me hosting). The same thing happens when he hosts the game and I join it. Is there some sort of tweak I've overlooked? Some text file I can configure? Should we try to download custom user-made maps? I like the game; It's just a pain because we've been tinkering with it for a couple days with no luck. We both have combined operations from steam (v1.59 I think?) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
