    ARMA 3 needs to revamp their vehicle interface

    yes the targeting pod should definatly add to the flying. Make it so that you have to slew, then put laser on, then tab to make sure your plane is picking up the lock and can hit it, then drop the bomb.

    But the Unions are part of the problem Walker, they demand higher wages for civil servants at a time when everyone is having their wages cut. And they are going on strike about it. Now whos greedy? not just the banker, but the civil servants too. Maybe you should read into the civil servant system in the UK, you might actually learn something.

    got to remember a lot of companies don't release demos anymore for PC, and sicne people don't trust the companies, they torrent the game so they can try it, and then make their mind up. Maybe the game companies should actually make something decent so people will trust them, might help them out a bit. Also, Ea seems to ruin everything they get their hands on too. BF3 with the origin hack and of course the C & C 4 crap.
  5. If BIS make it possible to walk/land/ drive on moving ships, then I would like to see the America class LHD and the San Antonio LPD at least, and maybe the Bay class for the RN
  6. I have edited maps for Arma 2. I started making a prototype map that was only 40km by 40km and the image was to googlemaps level detail. Shall I tell you how big the file was for the image? 1.5gb. the map file was also huge and that was WITHOUT any buildings being put on it, as well as it having a good amount of water (which I changed the colour on to save space on the pbo).

    its not that easy to do that with Vistor 3, but i am going to add hills and mountains in some places once i get used to making them. (one of the picy's shows the height map for it.

I am going to add some small towns and airfields, along with some roads where needed, some trees for cover and some rocks too, gonna try add some hills at sometime as well that at least look half decent. Still got a few issues with the terrain and some of the place names, but hopefully they will be easy enough fixes (places names is almost fixed atm)

    EVO island - WIP

    Its not really that amibitous, most of the space is empty and uses a very simple terrain mask. I have it working in Arma2 CO atm, but am going to add more things before releasing it on here for beta testing. Just bear in mind I am not going to fill this map, the map will be largely empty and I am only using objects from Arma2 CO so its just a case of placing them down.

    Bearing in mind I run on min specs, it doesn't take that long to load (its got a very simple sand texture all over it and not many buildings) so about a min with ACE running, which for me is slightly quicker then Taki or Cherno. On those maps I can only normally get a 6 or 7k view distance and then its a little suttery but with 10km on my map, it runs fine, even when i am doing 1000kph in the su27. Its because there is very little on the map at the moment, and the mask is very simple, which was one of the main design critiria for the map. Be aware I am not going to entirely fill the map, but am putting in terrain features an airbases and some towns and forests so that you can experience true long range ops. So don't expect it to ever be full, ubti nstead with empty spaces for you to put things in yourself if you want to (using arma editors building or town builder module). Will post pictures tonight once I get back from lectures.

    [EVO] Squad recruiting

    [EVO] would like to invite all players to join its COOP night on Friday 25th November. It is going to be based on one of Duala missions that we have called Operation Fuel Ration. This mission has room for 18 players since we do not need the 3 pilot slots. Mod List: Latest release of ACE on Six updater Latest release of ACRE on Six Updater Isla Duala v1.95 with Duala units It will be a first come, first served signup. I will post more details later. This will be put up on our BIS page as well so make sure you sign up early to avoid disappointment. Basic Outline of the mission: We have been deployed to the country of Duala to assist local forces in the war that is going on there. Our job will be to land on the Island of Mangomak and carry out 3 tasks: -Destroy an enemy generator to cut off power to the local fuel pumps. -Eliminate an enemy officer commanding the operations on the island. -Destroy the fuel trucks so they cannot deliver any fuel to their own forces. Insertion will be via boat and extraction will be by the same, although we may be able to send a littlebird in for pickup.     I just wonder if anyone in the UK is going to be distributing the disk, I would of thought GAME would have, but it may just be them being lazy again and releasing it on disk a month after it has come out worldwide. EDIT: noticed game CZ are selling it, wonder if game uk has asked?

    NATO side yes, Iranian side no, cos I doubt they would be allowed to serve in the Iranian army, but coed is already permited in most NATO armies.
