    Don't tempt me to make one for Arma 2! Anyway, I would like to see animals and myabe vehicles for this. Have them controlled (like the other post said) by going up to them, and then using your action menu to tell it to follow and it would follow you, and then tell it to stop via the action menu as well.

    This actually sounds like a pretty good idea, I don't know how hard it would be to implement though.
  5. Remember that was a while ago, it may have changed since (remember he said the screen didn't work as RTT hadn't been implemented either at that stage) so I guess it may still be in the pipeline because that it an old video.

    The third option is fine, just provide an option to enable or disable it (maybe enable it at higher difficulties) just like in RO so people are kept happy.

    I would like to see manual cocking for the 2nd option using the fire key like in RO. Its not a bad thing to have (and as I recall it was an early version of having a safety)

    Manual cocking for single shot weapons is a good idea. Having it like RO where you have to just left click will suffice (simple but does the job)
  10. I contacted RIE a few weeks ago about this actually, it was for TOH and seeing if it would support fixed wing aircraft, this was his reply: Would be nice to know if something has changed since then concerning it (would be nice to know for both Arma 3 and TOH purpose)
  11. Now this is why I suggested it, because it would feel really out of place. Of course if we do, we'll need some 2 seat dual control training aircraft!
  12. I would like to see a realistic flightmodel (up to the standards of the TOH flightmodel) for jet aircraft. Also to this end I would like to also see a 2 seat training jet with dual controls (the BAE Hawk perhaps?) so that we would be able to train people on how to use them simliar to how we train people how to use heli's in TOH.
  13. Quick question, has it been confirmed whether the take on helicopters flight model is only for the heli's, or is it being extended to the jets because it would be nice to see them handle realistically as well.
  14. Yeah I noticed the difficulty of going from C/C++/LSL to Java, but luckily there are some good books out there to help you (found one in my uni library, and have ordered a copy for myself). Also been doing the tutorials from netbeans which also help a lot, although some of them are slightly wrong (like the database one, it worked when i changed a little code but I couldn't get the embeded database tutorial to work at all). You just need to get used to it, it becomes quite useful and easier to use once you have done some practicing (cant wait to the full update is out because i will try the Java then when it is a bit more ready)

    I voted no as I just see it as an extra complication to the game that will only divide the community up. I'm not saying I wouldn't like to have it, I am just saying it isn't practical and would much rather have resources spent on other things like bug fixes.
  18. you might need to turn down you mic sensitivity in your options, I guess that may be the cause of it as I had that problem when i first started using VA again.

    Also have been thinking, having the forced training won't really help, because once you have done it, theres nothing to stop you from merely forgeting everything it taught you and then gonig back to being an idiot who crashes on takeoff.

    If its server optional, then theres no problem with it. It's just like having only pilots can fly on a mission. And maybe have the options expanding so it says the different kinds and training and have a Y/N for you needing to have it so anyone could take any inf weapon, but you could limit the pilot slots to just pilots training pilots. It is needed in a lot of cases as the amount of times I have seen heli's crash or be shot down because of a lack of training or plain stupidity, this really needs to happen.

    It is much harder in Takistan, but with practice and good methods you should hit the target with LGB's everytime even from 2000m above and 3km away from the target. (we actually hit a target from 4km away with a plane at 6km on Chernarus!)
  23. yeah I remember in AA2 the training, it was a very very good way of limiting roles, Arma could perhaps benefit from this but make it a server option so that you can turn whether training counts on or off if they do add it.

    Quick question will the DLC's work like the arma dlc's. I.e. where everyone starts with low detail textures but if they buy the dlc they get the full rez ones?
