    Hopefully with upgrade scripting, 3d editor out of the box, and better multiplayer physics (objects being able to stay on each other without scripting). its probably going to be a Czech drinking sim though.

  5. Is it not possible to add slingloading like functionality to it or is that tied specifically to the "heli" class?
  6. According to biki fuelCapacity value has nothing to do with litres. Seems to just be an arbitrary value.
  7. some good ideas there. I had the idea of creating a fuel bowser but it wouldn't be towable but you could lift it at least. I don't think arma uses gallons for fuel. I think its just an arbitrary amount as the huron seems to fill the same amount as the little bird. I can also adjust the value down a bit as I thought it was to low tbh. its a bank holiday weekend here this weekend and I've got nothing planned other than Sunday so ill have a play with the effects a bit more and see if I get an other models made. I'll have a look at the ace config stuff better when I get back home on Friday to see what it entails. I can always release it as a separate config and pbo if needs be. I think it should be possible to add ammo filling ability as this is what some of the i came boxes already do. I'll probably have a look at making some objects for it at some point.
  8. Get well soon. I'm wondering who at BIS we would need to talk to in order for the roadway lod distance to be increased? I'm wondering if its a number that needs changing somewhere or if its something more significant that needs modifying to get the bigger roadway lods working.
  9. Not at the moment at least as I don't use ACE and am not familiar with configs for it. It may be something ill add eventually but I'm away with work during the week so don't have much time for editing.

    Re-uploading mods on the workshop

    I thought the steam workshop collections feature was supposed to have been created to make life easier to create a "pack" on the workshop. Or at least that's what I did for my clan, go check it out at [EVO] Clan mod collection. It allows us to keep all our mods up to date easily and if you've subscribed to the list you know you have all the mods. I think it could do with a button though to subscribe to any added mods so you don't manually have to back to the collection if an extra mod was added to the list.

    yes please, roadway LOD can work funnily. If its low enough to the water, vehicles on it can propel the ship along!

    Well I'm hoping they add a small car ferry for the civies in order to get them around the island if it is a logistics or humanitarian dlc. (SS Tanoa Star was a prototype I made in Arma to learn ships)

Hi guys, I am planning on making a dockside crane for Arma 3 and would like to know if the following is possible to do with ropex or whether it'll have to be attachTo method before I start modelling. I was thinking of using the slingloading feature within the game to make the lifting part of the crane. Now, i'm unsure if classes other than HeliX will support this and this is one of the pieces of info I would like to know. Here's some examples of what I mean: http://g3.img-dprevi...8DD975C17A8.jpg https://lh3.googleus...ays%20crane.jpg It wont be a moving one, it'll be fixed in place and able to rotate around its fixed position in order to load unload stuff. Any other advice on where to go with this would be useful too as I think this could be useful for the community for making their own cranes on vehicles and statics. Maybe this thread could be used to gather all info on other this topic?

  19. Hi all, I'm newish to (computer at least) modelling. So I've decided to make some simple models to start with and so i'm doing some static objects. I've been making it in Blender and have been exporting it into Arma thanks to the toolbox. https://www.dropbox.com/s/9loahls0ake8nt5/Oil%20Container%20Pic%201.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/hcd1oya20qxj8b6/Oil%20Container%20Pic%202.png?dl=0 I've got a couple of questions about this as I move the model forwards: 1) With a model like this, would I need to bother with any other (visual) LOD's besides a destroyed LOD? 2) Related to no.1 would the number of poly's on this model be visually acceptable up close or would a more detailed model be better? 3) Does anybody have an good resources on doing texturing? I'm not particular good at colouring in real life on models but just about manage to get by. I've got paint.net and gimp 2 but i'm never happy with the results. Thanks in advance

    [EVO] Dan's Small Objects Mod

    I've added a few more images to the album. Anyone know how to link it directly here to view? http://imgur.com/a/qD920 I'm up to 5 skins now within the editor, with them each being treated as a separate object rather than giving them a random colour. The thumbnails seem to be a bit weird in their colouring though for some reason. The black ones show up fine, but the other ones come up as yellow instead of the blue they actually are for some reason. I plan on working a bit on the blue barrel skin and maybe adding some logo's/images to the barrels of companies. Anyone fancy chipping in some names and/or logos to put on them?     JETS DLC Wishlist

    I'm hoping we get a big sandbox map to fly around on and have dogfights on (and something that would be suitable for eden). A bit like the South Asia map in TOH. I'm not really too bothered about what jets I get so i'll just enjoy the ride :D
