    I wasn't meaning for the Top Gun mission, I was thinking for the CAS with JTAC's mission. I have a rearm, refuel, repair script I can give you that I wrote, or I can link you to the one we used to use in missions. (will be later on though)

    ^this. If you have no intention of entering it, then don't worry. If the competition destroys the community, then BIS only have themselves to blame for it.

    So Dwarden, what would be an ideal rate to spawn AI at then? (rough ballpark is good enough) I mean how many units at how much of a break.

    I got to admit, too many exams is quite a problem nowadays, last year for Uni (2nd year), I had 5 exams in 7 days, including 3 in 2 days (and I study that hard subject known as electrical and electronic engineering, not one of those mickey mouse degrees most in the UK do), I think my hair actually started to fall out from the stress, and of course the grades slid a bit between the first and the last exam. It doesn't surprise me that others suffer from it because everyone cracks eventually.

    ^If you need help with coding, don't forget to ask. I have a mission with a similar premise, but where you start in Marshall's and underwater and you have to get ashore and clear the island, the whole island is active at the same time BUT I use unit caching in order to save CPU time and increase FPS (hence you can attack anywhere, and you can be attacked if you flyover places that haven't been secured). I spawn some dynamic reinforcements too and dynamically fill the towns with AI. It'll also be partially Multi-session with certain values saved (such as which objectives have been taken). I don't think it'd be much of a push to add side missions, and I could probably write you a basic version as a general example at some point if you would like (I'd be sharing the example on BIS forums too, but you can work from that example).

    Have a look at the BIKI for scripting commands, if you have issues with scripts, feel free to post in the relevant part of the Arma 3 editing forums on here (you can PM me, but not guaranteed to have the answer) @Warlord, if you referring to HMS Proteus, it isn't walkable or drivable, but you can spawn it in the editor and put it underwater. You can also setVelocity it in order to get it to move.

    I'm not joining the community btw, just putting some ideas out there. I kinda like being on the ground as well as flying.
  19. NH-90 and CH53K are my bets, can't quite decide what CSAT would use (maybe a KA-25 Derivative?). I also hope for a Chinook still as I love those things and not to mention how much more stable they are when hovering. (because real men do it without auto-hover!) I'm thinking the NH-90 might be for the AAF as they already have the EH101. I think I will be happy with any of the new helicopters they will give us to be honest, I am more looking forwards to the FM being brought in as I loved TOH.

    Its a shame that TOH mp will not be running any longer unless you direct IP connect due to gamespy disappearing. But if your looking for a clan or just to talk about helis, feel free to come over to ts3.evoclan.net and have a chat. @TheTrooper, I don't see jets being used anywhere near as much as helis, so I would say that helis are generally better as good pilots tend to be worth their weight in gold, as they often hold the fate of whole squads in their hands with their flying. I think especially with the TOH FM being brought into the game, people who can slingload and fastrope competently will be important.

    Yeah, there is a lot of clans out there that say they are "realistic", but the only part that's often realistic about them is the drills they do and the ranks they call themselves by. I remember ShackTac saying that they wouldn't use the TOH flight model back when it was first asked about. I still think you could get a team together to do the flying, but I guess most clans would ask for some proof of your flying skills (I have a terrible time getting into choppers flown by most people - its a flashback to public domi in A2). I certainly think [EVO] would certainly use some pilots if we can get a big MP coop game going, but most of the time we don't use helis or me or Crash flies (we both loved playing TOH on expert).

    After playing TOH on expert, the amount of people who moaned it was too hard (in fact, on one mission, I managed to take off, attack the target and return to base, which took roughly 20mins, before anyone else had managed to get in the air and stay in the air). My only fear is that most servers wont be using it or will put it on easy, and thats a damn shame IMO. I also guess thats why they made it easier to fly on expert with the last patch and still people moaned it was too difficult for them....

    ^this, a merc unit that could do coops with other clans would be good. Your average arma pilot is still often pretty poor. A heli squad might make even more sense once TOH flight model is put in especially if you can fly well on elite (most people I played MP with on TOH struggled with expert)
