    Better MG animations??

Red Orchestra 2 has some neat MG animations. It could be a basis. But I really doubt BIS is going to make something like that for A2. Maybe A3?
  2. Well, it doesn't really makes me think about the 90's racing games. Maybe it was just me, but I mostly played Midtown Madness, Mostertruck Madness, MotoRacer, Destruction Derby and some Rally/Nascar games. I think the closest thing I played was POD.

What the @*#* is China up to?

Still about Google Earth (so I don't need to open a new thread just to ask it), can someone enlighten me about -81.77443,106.369629? It's a red line (with a shorter blue line by side). I think it has something to do with the satellite equipment, because that is huge (almost 100km long), but it is discontinued (a small fraction of the line is separated from the rest, at -82.587435,107.037735).
  4. I played SWAT3 so many times that I 'memorized' all the orders. I could issue them pretty fast I think. The bank mission, the first you are against the Soverign America, is the most complete mission in my opinion. There you must use most (if not all) commands, making the teams cover the doors still locked and so on. Also, SWAT3 didn't allow saves in the middle of missions, so most players used to use stealth (at least in the start of missions), as the suspects would not hear you and so would not find you so easily. Baiting with flashbangs was pretty easy too. But this conversation is going a bit OT, isn't it? Let's stick to R6.

    Music Recommendations

Gojira. I was sure they had an official video, [edit]: There's some light nudity, I think it's against the rules. If you are interested, you can look at youtube, "Vacuity" by Gojira.

VBS2/3 Discussion thread - the one and only

That explosion at 0:20 scared the hell outta me, I really was not expecting for that... MedEvac and vehicle recovery... really... have no words to describe how I like the way VBS does it. Also, nice RTT in the mirrors.

    They better have female soldiers...

I really don't want to come back to this discussion, but how can you give an opinion if you didn't read it all? Taking words out of context is pretty easy. Also, coward mice? You don't ever know from where I am, you have no clue of how I am and what I do. You are taking thing too much personally. Just to add, I will not post in this thread anymore. Any issues please PM me.

    They better have female soldiers...

There are exceptions, but they are a minority. Just because there's people capable of hitting a fly 10 meters away or people that run marathons doesn't means everyone does. The same applies to the physical capabilities of women. The 'soldiers' in ARMA are based on the majority, having the average capabilities of a man. Everything said, I'm out of this discussion because each said has it's arguments and no one is going to give up. Sorry for leaving, but it's better for both.

    They better have female soldiers...

ARMA 3 is based in reality isn't it? I'm giving real-life arguments about the issue. How women are not more prone to injuries? I'm not talking about being shot, I'm talking about breaking bones, fractures while carrying weight and things of the like. If the real-life arguments don't apply to a game that aims to be as close to reality (in the game market, of course), then I don't know what applies. So let's ask for anything in the game, because the rules became loose.
  10. So, it's expect to be released in 2013. That's a long time from now.
  11. They had two rotating teams, each counting with snipers and machinegunners. Most of the action (minus the last firefight, in the forest) is pretty fast: they prepare themself to come, shoot two times at each bad guy and, after searching the building, put the bodies in the bags. They even used the uniforms of the local counter terrorist forces, to suppress any suspicion. Now they rappel, start shooting without planning, take cover every second because they run on unintented firefights, are outnumbered and take an forever to end a mission. That being said, I'm not saying the game is bad, just that the filosofy behind Rainbow Six has changed a lot. ---------- Post added at 08:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:11 PM ---------- You can see it here

    They better have female soldiers...

I just mentioned it because it's what passes on a soldier's mind (military world, so your dysfunctional brain can understand it, as we are talking about Female Soldiers, remember?). I remained in topic, while you didn't. And please, stay on topic, because the whole discussion is getting to ridiculous levels. So let me start it again: I'm against female soldiers in ARMA3 because: - Male soldiers are averse to the presence of female soldiers in the battlefield (it distracts them and, in case of death, is way more shocking. Also, if captured, there's an increased risk of sexual abuse by the captors). - There's the danger of abuse and rape (by soldiers in the same unit) because of the nature of modern deployments. - Women are more prone to injuries and fatigue.

    They better have female soldiers...

Oh yeah, what does the civilian world have to do with it so? What part of "Female soldiers" does include them?

    They better have female soldiers...

You are talking about civilians, I'm talking about military personel. And please, refrain from using such expressions: I never called you anything but "you", while you keeps using pejorative words to refer to me.
  15. 5:40, he is pretty young, but maybe he is 18-20 years old.

You are trying to embarass me, so people may think your argument is more valid. Then, you would expect me to come with an agressive response, so that you would be fulfilled. Every soldier acts exactly the same... of course your point is valid now. All them are able to overcome male instinct. And representing them in a game, so the pervs can shoot them, is really helping. Thumbs up for you. Also, stay on topic. This has nothing to do with ARMA3 (same argument,)

    Steel Beasts Pro PE

Nice gallery, will take some time to see every detail each picture contains... I asked about the artillery because I'm really addicted to it (yeah, kind obcessive, as I will never join the army). I'm researching and trying to understand every bit of it. Would be nice (to me, of course) to see it represented in such a detailed simulator.

    Steel Beasts Pro PE

After watching some gameplay footage, I think I liked what I saw. I see the outdated graphics (mainly in the water and in the infantry), but I would easily overcome it I think. Just a question, I see MBTs, APCs and IFVs, but are there self propelled artillery and self propelled anti aircraft weapons (present in the game world, not away from sight/map)?

    They better have female soldiers...

You understood what I said and everyone also did. Stop flame baiting please. -------------------- Most thing really change, but the human moral commonly does not. People are sensitive about violence against woman and have been for some time. Call for backup, takes him/her out of vehicle. Vehicle explodes. The one left dies. Tell this and... ...this to every man out there, please also the media. But we do everything we can to prevent a woman death. Period.

    Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad

So, I've read that the 'mods' developers are deciding if they will stay loyal to the 'mod' aspect of their creations or will go for paid expansion packs. :(

Arma 3: Community wishes & ideas- DISCUSSION

PP, nice post! I like the ideas, only missing the BigDog by Boston Dynamics!

    They better have female soldiers...

Arma is about real military situations in fictional scenarios. My scenario takes place in a combat situation. If you pick any, you must know it may be the last chance you have to do so. So, the one you left get in a higher risk situation just because you left him/her there. Of course it is immoral, but it weights much more in a men mind to let a woman die. Just see the repercussion of women and men deaths. If 100 hundred war prisoners are tortured in some combat zone, it's just another war fact for most people, but if there were 1 woman in the group the whole situation changes. ~~~~~~~ The whole "it's just a game" argument doesn't count either.

This is how you stop a getaway...

He is definitively not wearing it. The comissaries here are not likely to wear such equipment. Also, I'm sure there were more policemen in that vehicle, likely four or five.

    They better have female soldiers...

I'm talking about how the presence of a woman in a dangerous situation impairs the decision capability of a man. A common man will try everything possible to save her, what could compromise his team in a combat situation. I'm not conjecturing, this has been asked to male soldiers and they answered accordingly.
  25. (Is this a repost?) So, there is this video comparing the PC and PS3 footage. I don't see much difference. AGbo50Ar420 Watching some real gameplay footage, I would say BF3 reminds me of BF1942. It's not a bad thing I would say, but BF1942 has some advantages BF3 really lacks. BF3 has some real focus on the competitive side of amateur gaming (with unlockables and everything), while BF1942 was more like a passtime (for me, of course).
