  4. Love this mission, had a great time playing it last night! Probably the best PvP game-type out there atm.

We need this to be optimized.

No but we are playing the alpha version of the game so I suggest evaluating the specs when the full game is released. It probably won't be any better in the beta either. As someone said above its usually the last thing that's done.

We need this to be optimized.

Optimization is probably one of the most difficult tasks that face the devs and its going to take a lot of time before the game is fully optimized. I think the game runs really well right now and it is playable. Also, your PC specs aren't the greatest so you shouldn't expect 60 fps or even 30 fps stable.

    Unable to wear enemy uniform?

Thanks for the info. Its a shame, me and a friend tried for ages to steal an enemy uniform in the E&E coop mission haha :D

    Unable to wear enemy uniform?

Why would they allow you to still wear an enemy helmet and pouch but not his uniform? Strange.
  9. I'll try this then, cheers! Edit: This fixed it for me, thanks mate!
  10. Anyone else had problems running this with BAF installed? I get instantly kicked if I have BAF running when I try to join a server. Problem is, BAF runs as part of CO? Anyone got a fix? I've had to uninstall BAF completely to be able to play the mod which is annoying.

    MCC Sandbox - The Mod

If this mod could generate pbo's so it could be used a mission-making tool it would be amazing! Great work, keep it up!
  12. Great work lad, gonna be using these in missions!!
  13. We thought we'd give you guys an update on what's going on at TF86, it's been a busy couple of months! Campaign Over the last couple of months, TF86 have been deployed in various locations throughout Chernarus and experienced a wide variety of combat as part of Operation Red Moon which is now coming to a close after some dramatic events. The end of Operation Red Moon sees TF86 start a new dynamic campaign next week known as Operation Icarus, part of the ongoing GWOT campaign. Make sure to keep up to date with news linked to the GWOT storyline, given on our very own news network, WNN, updated regularly. The latest update can be found here. Members Recently we've had a huge influx of members with over 15 applications in the last 6 weeks! Due to the recent boom of US applications, we are now looking for UK and EU applications for our UKSF and SFSG based TFs. TF86 and its members are not like every other squad out there. Our squad was founded on camaraderie and humour but also strives for professionalism, excellence and self-discipline. Our missions are both fun and challenging and require the operators to be at their best in order to complete them. We have a mix of both real life military personnel and civilians so don't be put off thinking you have to have a military background to succeed in TF86. You just need a good level concentration, a desire to learn and a sense of humour. Training TF86 continues to hold weekly training sessions for both SOTF North and SOFT West members. This enables us to hone our skills as well as give a refresher for the more experienced members of the squad. The tactics used in training and in operations are taught by special forces trained personnel and the varied training sessions usually consists of practice drills followed by a live fire exercise. We have started to move into some more advanced training scenarios as well as getting the newer members squared away with their military freefall qualifications so they deploy as such in campaign operations. In addition to the training sessions, missions are played during the week on our very own dedicated server. The missions themselves are made by anyone and everyone and every member is welcome to create a mission and put it on the server. 14. Also got the config array 3 entries error, I googled it and it came up with your post in the Arma 2 editing forum haha! ;)
  15. I downloaded the version on the first post and the island is quite buggy. I get texture errors upon loading (I've downloaded both the island and the objects). Some of the hills have a green glow and some of the buildings you can just walk right through them as if they aren't there. Apart from that its awesome! I spent ages just driving around and exploring :D
  16. Update inbound! The end of September brings the close of the successful Operation Silent Harvest campaign and with our new campaign Operation Red Moon starting soon, our doors are still open for potential operators. At TF86 we still continue to develop our dynamic storyline which takes us to hotspots all over the globe in a wide variety of environments and mission types. The storyline is directly affected by the outcome of each mission so everyone has the potential to influence what happens. See below our most recent example of our very own WNN report and intel files for our new campaign. Click here for full size. Click here for full size. In typical TF86 fashion, the missions we carry out will be challenging but very rewarding and will make use of all the skills given to the individual in our unique SF training programme. This campaign promises to be one of the best ever at TF86 so make sure you don't miss out! 17. Hey guys, Recently every single time I play ARMA, after a while my game stops rendering properly and I drop down to around 6fps which just makes it completely unplayable. Flushing usually fixes the problem for around 5-10mins, then it happens again and after that flushing does nothing. I've checked my CPU and GPU temps whilst playing and they are all normal and my RAM usage is around 70%. I havent changed anything since it started happening and it happens with my graphics settings both high and low. I've uploaded a few screenshots so you know what I mean: PC Specs: i5 760 2.8Ghz @ 3.6ghz 4GB Corsair DDR3 RAM EVGA nVidia 450GTS Windows 7 32bit Any ideas guys? Apart from buying new hardware? :(

  19. ultimately that's what makes or brakes this game makes or brakes brakes... OT: In all honesty, a human would still find you if you were only 100m away from your last known position as he'd just scan the horizon. To be honest, most of the time the AI isn't smart enough!
  20. It appears my problems were being caused by ACRE + JayArmA2Lib. More info here if anyone has the same issue :) http://dev-heaven.net/issues/23833

    ACE for OA 1.11

Is it just me, or is anyone actually crashing more with these performance improvements? I get insane LOD lag after about 60mins of play and then my ArmA just crashes. Only happens when Im running ACE. I've reinstalled the game and all my add-ons.
  22. An update is long overdue! ORBAT Updated This month sees the ORBAT get a major overhaul and has drastically changed the way TF86 is structured and organised, for the better. With our numbers ever increasing, we have taken the decision to create a new unit known as Task Force White (TFW). Task Force White will become Task Force Green's dedicated support group, assisting them on operations. With the introduction of TFW, TFR will now become TFB's dedicated support group. The units are now assigned according to time zone with TFB and TFR, forming SOTF-North, catering for our EU members and TFG and TFW, forming SOTF-West, catering for our NA members. Below is our ORBAT structure, with the main fighting groups in green. We are also looking for dedicated pilots to fly both rotary and fixed wing assets. Training Squad training has also been revamped and improved with the introduction of our new training programme. Recruits will be put through their paces by the Directing Staff which will prepare them for their preferred unit. After basic training has been passed, recruits are then required to pass a units own specific training programme. These vary greatly between units depending on their role in operations. After all training has been passed, recruits will be awarded with a callsign and will be officially badged in their preferred unit. Once assigned to a unit, training will continue on a weekly basis and you will be training with your unit specifically and as a group. SOTF-North will train together and the same for SOTF-West. Selection and training is not easy. We strive to be the best of the best and our selection process and training approach reflects this. However, do not be put off. People with no ArmA experience at all, people new to the game, have passed and become fully badged members. It just requires concentration, common sense, professionalism and a sense of humour. Server The server switching process has now been complete and we are proud owners of our very own dedicated server. This gives us greatly improved performance for ArmA and pings have dropped worldwide. Operations TF86 continues its dynamic GWOT campaign with missions being conducted on Sundays in a professional and exciting manner.
