  1. :j: yeah guys, if there are any problems with the guns well you shouldn't be getting shot ever!!! Or maybe that was sarcasm but it's 2am and i really can't think straight.

a RPG isnt a gun... I meant sending infantry to clear the area of potential anti tank threats you moron. TACTICS!

I'd ignore him, I'm pretty sure if I had an "Islam sucks" avatar I'd get in trouble.

But thats not what Zionism means.

  2. Most modern impact fuzes are extremely sensitive, and yes, even simple, light branches, like the one pictured above will detonate them. Most do not even work on a mechanical fuze action, they rely on electrical sensors that detect shock (changes in acceleration) and initiate the fuze.

Infact, even the mechanical super quick fuzes are ultra sensitive.

From a 1961 issue of Field Artillery Magazine (the journal for the US Army's Field Artillery members):

    What about a rpg-7

  3. cant resist getting in on this trolling thread.

    @doonbugie

are you saying that huey pilots are not as clever as other heli pilots, so they cannot use chutes?

No, Im saying that its almost impossible to parajump out of a huey at extremely low altitudes in a huey which is going to crash, they will get chopped in the rotorblades.

  4. hang on so you are saying that thr KA-52 is the only helicopter with a ejection seat??

nearly all modern attack helicopters have them fitted :P

Name some of the up to standards modern attack helicopters with pilot ejection seats, other then the Kamov-50 series or the Mi-28

  5. I think you'll find what you said was:

To which we responded with photos and video of people parachuting out of Hueys or Bell 206/407 (which as you know are civilian cousins of the Huey).

At no point, until you were called on it, did you ever mention pilots...

Obviously if you're high enough, but huey pilots shouldent be able to do it.

  6. I'll post whatever I please, thank you. Don't quote images.

You said huey. That is a huey. That is the exact helicopter you named. If you meant cobra, you should have said cobra. Of course, now you're saying cobra that's flying NOE. If we whittle this point down any farther, we're going to have a toothpick and a room full of sawdust. Maybe you can be more specific and tell us what you actually mean next time.

I did, I said the huey pilots should not be able to "eject" out of their seat magically.

  7. If you can't read 5 sentences I wonder what you're doing on a forum. Oh, wait, I know. Trolling. I'm afraid that before this night is over you will be telling me not to use words longer than four letters because longer ones are unknown to you. It's a new thing for me to see someone avoiding questions by claiming that he can't read.

Its confusing, try to make it more readable.

  8. No no no, silly. That's a picture of a branch. You were talking about the stems. How thick does the stem have to be before it detonates a rocket? Now be careful, I said detonates, not fails to detonate like you just demonstrated. And remember, you're talking about hellfires but apparently the topic is about the arming distance for shoulder fired rockets... or maybe now you acquiesce that the arming distance issue was acknowledged and discussed and we've moved on from that topic. Earlier in the thread we were also talking about HE warheads and artillery, so maybe the discussion is broader than hellfires.

So, do tell, what thickness of stem detonates trips an impact fuze? Or maybe by your last post you're telling me that the difference between stems and branches is semantics ;)

Organize that in 2 sentences and Ill give you a awnser. It has to be readable.

Well, they can parachute low from military helicopters. I'm not sure about from an attack helicopter. It seems like it would be hard to get out.

Im talking about the pilot, the only helicopter with a ejection seat should be the Kamov-52. Please stop posting images of the passangers parajumping out.. the pilot would have to put on a parachute all while the helicopter is screaming towards the ground. So he has about 4 seconds to do this.

100% agree, whats that got to do with C5 and PvP

I admit I've been playing crCRI Proman 4.21 there at night EST time which is

the early hours of the morning in America, so there is no issue there and only

    for maybe 2 hours.

    edit:

Should add that high pings are not an issue on the C5 server, as in you won't

    be kicked for it.

missions, player numbers, server location etc etc please post here..."

If ever the Germans and the forest seemed allied, it was never more noticeable than when enemy artillery shells burst in the tree-tops, spraying metal down on us like rain falling from an evil sky. Forever on the attack, we rarely had time enough to dig deep-foxholes and almost never the chance to cover them. A mere hole in the ground was no protection against shell fragments falling from above — we could only stay there and sweat it out. Even a little artillery was able to do a lot of damage in these woods. The destructiveness of one tree burst alone was equal to several shells exploding in open ground.

Were not talking about entire trees though, we are talking about branches and the leaves deflecting missles.

Perfectly possible. Anything else you wanna bitch about trolly mctroll?

Thats not a military helicopter, and might I add I was talking about the pilot at extremely low altitudes as most hueys fly at. I'd like to see you try and parachute out of a supercobra.

He doesn't watch Southpark - lost cause, mate. :dj:

Because Im not a ignorant scumbag.

  13. Im bored with blufor/opfor, would be nice to have more variation in factions, the ability to change who's friendly from the editor and let us make our own stories... but this game is just about promoting US and British forces, everything else comes second.

I agree, why cant I select the opfor voices from the profiles tab.

  14. It doesn't really matter of the settings. My team has given up on linux dedicated as we noticed that even if we had 2-10ms pings (our server is on a "very good" location) the player and AI positions were warping heavily. Not to mention CTDs... so we're in process of moving our server to a location from where we can admin win version... (good luck with that...)

Yeah, its pretty annoying. Its a shame BIS isnt doing anything about it and instead working on a sequal that 1/2 the community doesent care about and would rather have a less buggy client and server.

---------- Post added at 09:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:21 PM ----------

It certainly seems that way. After some Googling, it seems that they hold the stance that it isn't a bug, but a feature. =/

My squadmates and I have learned to live with it. I guess we can hope it will be fixed in Arma 3.......

For such a expensive game you would guess that maybe BIS would put in some effort to fix it asap as it hampers gameplay as a simulator. But nope!
