Explosive charge (not satchel) against T-100
I place one at the front of the stationary tank, I'd have liked to have pushed it right underneath but this is as close as I could get it-
Explosives are fun!
I too have noticed that one cant' prone sneak close enough under the vehicle even though there seem to be enough clearance on other vehicles which is quite disappointing.
Also, any plans to test other vehicles like the Hunter armored vehicle? I'd like to see if there are any changes to explosives behaviour when dropped under ( shallow-ish ) water.
I know we don't have any rivers that the vehicles would need to get thru but just for the argument sake? :)

Great to hear Oukej, heads up's always appreciated

Please vote on this, so BIS recognizes the need for modders to get access to a physx diagnosis tool for vehiclesI'd love to vote on that but ever since they've reset the forum credentials I can't get into it :(
Best of luck with this we really need the physx to step up significantly

Here's what I think:Basically, features will be free but stuff will be paid. Remember how OA added thermals and other new elements like that? Well, thermal would be a feature updated for everyone while the new cars and tanks (content) would be paid for.
I think this is the right way to go if that's how they'll do it.
If say, they add some new MBT tank I'd expect it to have impressive physx, believable sounds, seriously refined hitpoint damage and all that glory but expecting this to be done to the highest standard and as a free DLC? Not going to happen and therefore this paid content will hopefully be all that free DLC can't be

Looking forward to your antipersonnel and at mine test sometimes down the road spike;)

-snipI can agree with everything you said and I don't think for one second you/our expectations are unreasonable. Just lets have a look at sounds - after 14 months, sounds are literally useless and then we have the un-impressive physx, AI but one is expected to forget everything because the fog and lighting is gorgeous
that is forever in the game, not just this build. hope that get fixed that the fire-modi stays after getting in/out a vehicle. !!! any vehicle !!!Yes its there since I've first played - arma1 and yes army of tickets pointing it out were created

It's easier to have patience than to rage over a computer game. No, you don't come up as the mature one with your condescending and in no way helpful post.
Just because I voice my dissatisfaction with some of feature progress that are important to some more than others doesn't make them immature nor whiners and if you chose to high praise and nod to everything doesn't make you neither patient nor mature

You can choose this as mission-maker.In the init type: this allowCrewInImmobile true;
or on mission level in the init.sqf
{ _x allowCrewInImmobile true; } forEach vehicles; That should work now but it should be fixed eventually with no walkarounds needed

Do you even read the changelogs? There has been a significant change that is going to be used for another sound features in the future:
Sound: Added: APO fadeout effect
I do read them and my post has been published 04/14 - a day earlier.
I envy your patience but I don't have it - If the sounds we have were at least half reasonable and not game breaking for the most part, I'd remain sympathetic but 14 months with no changes? How can anyone have any patience left

One important and relevant bit is the matter that the majority of other games are console ports or AAA titles made to run on the lowest spec hardware possible to maximize sales
but sure as hell I am not here to excuse the flawed arma engine

I find myself playing arma bit more recently thanks to the efforts of certain sound modders. Sounds are such important immersion contributor to game it it can simply change the experience.
With that said now though - It's been over a year without significant changes to the sound themselfs or the sound engine and one has to wonder, do you even care?
I mean full year..that's a lot of time
I get the impression that by the time ( if ever ) you may do something with the sounds another arma may as well be on the horizon. ( but the wheel keeps spinning amIright )
I appreciate there's ton of other work to be done on this... engine .. but don't you think it's time to step some of the features a bit up?
You may not be aware but some games that are 5 or more years older have far more advanced and better made sounds there's probably room for improvement or perhaps you couldn't care less and I' getting that message whole year too late?
-
they should start with long wanted features first, more or less fixes: weapon resting, proper wounding system, midrange textures, mp-performance.i couldnt care less about more vehicles.
I'm sad to say no to more content but I agree and in addition to it - In game sounds

Nvidia Control Panel helpWhen you right click on start it should display option - system or control panel and the nvidia panel should be accessible there. If it isn't, go windows updates and let it run. You may need to restart after

So it'd seem that the devs have yet to configure anything other than the commander turret... Cheers for sharing the results

I have read the review and he has had some good points whether it fited the objective description or not

As per the informative post above and to add - Your laptop may be overheating and your CPU fan may be full of dust at which point the cooling pad is no longer all that effective. If you GPU keep crashing at non gaming tasks too it is possible that your GPU or motherboard is developing a fault ( due to excessive heat )

Just a brief feedback on the recently tweaked heat haze effect - I think it still looks like transparent smoke ( kind of like rounded puffs ) rather than heat haze and I had this thought of adding some sort of blur filter to them?
Should look closer to this

The new pilot animation for the neophron cas plane is really quite nice :thump up:
(although the neck issue is still there) :p

Interesting results with the 40mm. I wonder if the lynx anti material sniper rifle could be the only weapon damaging the drivers optics and whether it would be the same for blue and red armor?

I've been testing the civilian offroad further and the recent changes seem to be going in the right direction.
While I haven't noticed any changes to handling overall after today's patch but when driving over bumps it has much lesser of the moon physx :)
Few points to the gearbox though -
*I've noticed that 1st gear allows max speed of only 15 Km/hr before (2nd) gear change occurs and I think more realistic values should sit at around 30 km/hr.
I think that the 1st gear should be a lot more aggressive and push the vehicle from stand still with much more enthusiasm, so to speak.
*The second gear is exceptionally short as well and the speed gain is only about 20 km/hr before (3th) gear change occurs.
The max speed with 2nd gear engaged is ~35 Km/hr which again is overly conservative value and should again be closer to about 50Km/hr.
*The reverse gear is little short also and allows for max reverse speed of 26 Km/hr. I think more realistic value should be closer to 35 Km/hr.
*I feel that even after the recent changes to its engine and gearbox, the engine should have more power still as the telling tale is its maximum speed.
The max speed should be closer to ~240 Km/hr for modern car ( and as our model is based on the audi Q7 SUV ) whereas its current max is just under 190Km/hr.
*Please consider lowering the force where the vehicle has contact with the ground. Wheels ( or the tires ) have too much ''contact ''force with the surface or perhaps the weight parameter is too great.
It is overly easy to rapidly change direction at high speed and the vehicles feel like they're being driven on invincible railroad which also allows to climb unrealistically steep hills or even rocks ( huge rocks ) ;)
Whit that said though its important for vehicle to maintain its agility and should closely listen to drivers inputs and respond to them promptly.
*Would it be possible to have displayed what gear is engaged somewhere on the vehicle display? I find it bit of a shame that all that space is unused
Hope my feedback helps! :bounce3:

gonna shake the house down! Also got a 60w. bass amp..., too much?
60W won't shake a house without 300% distortion but this might ( it will )

Thanks, I was just wondering if AVG is all I need, or should I also get a second prog for extra protection. You only need a always up to date ( automatic anyhow ) antivirus and windows updates in place and you'll be good to go. It's unvise to install more than one AV on the same OS HDD.
While AVG is free the $20 to install it is pretty reasonable as they would charge twice as much if not more around here.

I don't understand why people are always wanting to pay for more content when the game's features aren't even complete.Very much this - As much as I'd like to I can't justify spending another cent on what to me feels like grossly unfinished and to en extend broken game that has been officially released a year ago.
Furthermore while more content is always welcome whether paid or from our modders, the official content aside of being pretty is not exactly rich in features and I personally do have issue with that.
Just look at the hit point system that we chose to deal with by buying this game as of present - 2014
I'd very happy to throw my dosh on DLC as long as it's quality ( no, not pretty only ) content that is functioning well ( and no I don't mean just bug free ) than by all means, please charge me 20 quid for it

Impressions after playing the game.
in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Posted
BI has done quite a fine job so far but performance is still an issue for many out there and they have every right to be whining, ranting or bitching or whatever one wants to call it after putting up with sub par performance for years
Arma is niche because most people can't even run it unless they settle for anything under 30 fps. I don't see how optimizing the game and getting rid of redundant pop up errors that doesn't tell anybody anything useful can be unwelcome by some.
It's also niche game because some stupid ass design decisions have been around the game for quite a while and take very long, if ever to be changed or improved upon
Aside for a couple combat rifles, the rest of the sounds are sub par, insulting and horrible, all at once. This is not even subjective in 2014 game and no, BI is not getting pass on that
Agreed and I hope they are determined on fixing this issue
