  1. I'm using my PC for everything; games, movies, music..so: PC ---> Toslink ---> Nuforce DAC ---> Nad356bee ---> Focal 826v ---> BK gemini II Sub. Would anyone in the know recommend adding a dedicated sound card in the mix as I've read rather mixed responses on whether it's worth having one or not? Some say it's waste of money and others swear that eliminating the internal PC noise can/will see improvements?

  2. Why can't we have both? :) I'm waiting for how this will turn out but Arma always remains in my heart. Also you can't win a sandbox without a sandbox. You can only win in smaller areas.

Reading the thread makes me wonder the same thing. I don't think anybody is even genuinely concerned whether Squad is going to "kill" arma or not, that is if it ever was a point. Its about choice, at least to me it is and I'd guess and say the majority of people don't have a single game installed on their computer anyway so its not like we either have to play one or the other. I have very limited number of games installed on my pc but I surely am looking forward to what Squad will have to offer but I can't think of single reason why would it make me forget or even uninstall arma and I'm sure I'll enjoy both for while to come.

It's more worrying that you take a youtube comments section about a game no one has played as trustworthy.

But then, we live in a world where people are constantly releasing pre-alpha unfinished games, charging people for it with the promise that everything will be fixed, then not fixing it. People complain and rage. Then the same people go and throw money at a different set of pre-alpha kickstarter paetron "developers". Rinse; repeat.

Reading youtube comments can be waste of time can be funny at times ;) As for throwing money at some "random" developers at a kickstarter,, well I think the PR devs have more than proven themselves over the years and it'd seem the community is well aware of it also, so I wouldn't say the PR devs will not deliver

  3. Yea I recognize BI is putting a lot of work into arma 3 ( this time around ) and are serious about making A3 the best release yet, so credit where its due and is IMO the right direction. However, arma 4 will need to really impress for me to consider it buying it. I appreciate good things take time to make but with arma, it takes lightning years for me to be able to enjoy the game and things like sounds, physx, medical treatment and MP performance should have been implemented at least half reasonably right from the beginning and be subject to minor tweaks at best and not downright broken or missing altogether. As it is I am not even getting the current DLC offer till after I see that it's well implemented and playable from the get go. If it is I will be more than happy to pay whatever full price it will be sold at

  4. Anyway, western people are not getting poorer, that's a fact

Maybe not poorer financially wise but it doesn't take too long of a look to see we're losing freedom, rights and intimacy. Our western consumerism is also nothing more than a bubble that will blow us away once it pops, that is when we find out that we have consumed our world around us.

There's no other place in the world where people have as much power as they have in the west. But we'd rather yell at some on TV than actually do something

Financially - probably, militarily - maybe, but asian tiger would probably disagree. As for politicians, I think it's time we stop voting for representatives in yellow suits or representatives in green suits and start voting for high degree economists

  5. Voted not yet.

The most important issues for my own enjoyment of the game are yet to be worked on and that includes sounds, physx, damage and AI. Having a very limited scripting knowledge, which I'm not too bothered about anyways, I'm able to enjoy only what has been already done to the game and/or explore mods. Purely gameplay wise though, there's still loads of work to be done but that seems to be on the right track so I'll just have to wait bit longer and I think once more solid foundations are done for PvP players and so on it will be well worth it.

I'm unable to compare arma any longer to other games out there as I have a complete disinterest in what is available on the current market so yes, I imagine BI is doing something right

  6. It is noble that people try or are buying ''made in our home country'' but I believe this is temporary solution at best, unless the state is entirely self sufficient starting from all natural resources to a tooth brush. I think if people refused to buy made in china they would probably suddenly realize just how poor most of us are and we wouldn't be able to afford even such a thing as an smartphone. It's funny though, one would imagine that in the age of automatization where robots are saving the big bucks to companies most goods should be ridiculously affordable but no, I guess in big bucks businesses it works like this; if we don't make enough profit off of our buyers somebody else will since they haven't spend ALL their money with us yet and they don't want to make that mistake. I actually even wonder whether big buck corporation still keep human employees for some sort of tax relieves or as an insurance of getting a bailout if market suddenly change course? Not a businessman yet, so unsure how this works in different countries.

Maybe I should get into farming and become a wheat & flour dealer which may soon become a very premium product eh

  7. Ok I appreciate the devs have a lot of work on their plate now, mainly due to the excellent addition of rotorLib but what concerns me is that there haven't been any updates on physx / driving model in a very long time and the same can be said about any communication from devs about the physx status.

I'm confident the DEV's are not done with physx / vehicles yet but can somebody enlighten the vehicle enthusiast as to what the road map might be or what's the status on this?

  8. Thats good to hear, but the door noises seem a bit unnecessary, when compared with the other issues at least.

As mentioned in the post above the new sound engineer is exploring the engine so while seemingly unnecessary, I for one am more than happy to give BI more time providing they get it *right at the end. (*immersive and authentic )

  9. Oh it seems Obama has decided its time to look stupid again. Sometimes I think someone in his office writes his speeches deliberately to undermine his reputation.

Ok oil and gas arent made by Russia, but they are sold by Russia and thats what important after all. Besides Russia is one of the biggest weapons manufacturors around the world. Space technology, cars (although only for russian market since theyre bad).

    http://www.worldstopexports.com/russias-top-10-exports/2350

Most on this list are natural resources, but machinery and fertilizers? Do they dig them too somewhere?

After the collapse of the USSR and its economy many factories were closed, but over time its getting back again.

And we have to remember the growing amount of foreign investors in Russia wich also boost its economy, and that of the investors countries of origin, thats why Europe is so reluctant with sanctioning Russia, USA would however love to see both economies ruined.

I think the US is mad about Russia exporting their Sukhoi fighters and bombers to middle eastern countries like Iran among others

  10. IMHO the Bankers and the Industrial Military complex are itching for war because they are the ones that gain from it the most.

Watch the American Politicians Senate, Congress . . . the most part of them are warmongers because they do the bidding to their masters. The US and Nato are constantly violating International law.

Some say ''they'' got enough money already and any other war is purely demonstration of being in power and the decision & faith calling is what's it about

The propaganda machine is in full swing on both sides and it's up to us to figure out who is lying and who not. You can't trust any politician especially not Americans. They are lying through their teeth every time they open their mouth. Wikileaks cables have proven what American diplomats think about their so called allies.

Its actually scary how US congressman J. Kerry is openly supportive of scenario where it would come to US vs Russia ( youtube ) and I also agree that Nato or UN is influentially powerless against the world power/s

IMHO WW III will start as soon as our financial system collapses, maybe even before, in order to disguise the people from the financial meltdown.

From various sources that I've seen it almost looks like that the US is getting ready for a large scale civil unrest for some time now - riot shields, ban/limit of arms, automatic rifles for police as well police being trained ''military style''. However I don't live in US so my perception might be wrong but then again it's no longer secret that the world will sooner or later move to a single currency...

---------- Post added at 02:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:18 PM ----------

Nope, WW3 will not come from a US / Russia confrontation, but most probably from a major conflict in middle East, or in Asia, because of the will of China to become a great sea power.

From my understanding if Iran were to be attacked ( by Israel, US or anyone else ) Russia would be forced to act, as well China, eventually and I think the US were looking at some point at Iran to bring them some freedom aside from syria, Iraq and others

  11. Both are delicious beverages and while the kopperbarregregberggg may not suit everyone due to slightly sweeter taste, I literally adore that stuff :811:

  12. damage stuff shall be part of the Advanced Damage Model ... but when and if ADM happens that only that Ninja behind me knows and he don't talk much , atm. seems to be sharpening something sharp

Knowing the devs are looking into it is very good news indeed

RotorLib feedback - Dyslexi did a great job pointing out some of the areas of what can be improved in his youtube video, mainly the over sensitiveness, so looking forward to additional refinement but other than that rotorlib is a brilliant addition to the game BI and while I still sit on 114 hours play time ( Yes the incomplete vehicles physx keeps me frustrated ) but I see the hours skyrocketing due to inclusion of TOH model alone and can't wait for rope physx.

Few things that I have noticed as a keyboard & mouse flyer -

    • Even though the option to set manual trim to mouse wheel down or up is there it interferes with the ingame menu
    • Binding the Collective right and left to mouse wheel menu also activates the ingame menu instead, even though the option to do so is officially offered in the keys configuration
    • Its very hard to hit the right amount of collective - manual trim on keyboard; would it be possible to
    • #1 lower the sensitivity and
    • #2 being able to apply the force on the rear rotor incrementally, just as is the case with throttle?

Also and I appreciate this would be low-er priority but something that shouldn't be too time consuming to redo - The textures on some helicopters are extremely low res and also very inconsistent and the contrast of difference between the dashboard is bit too much

  13. Yes, you have read the title correctly. World's economies are broken so much so that some claim it's simply not doable to repay all the dept. Nor do we need to look too far as to connect the dots to see that something big is happening around the world and see how close we might be to a serious, global catastrophe.
