    J.S.R.S. 1.5

Heya LJ, glad to hear you dont' ''have'' to go trough moar / another difficulties :) Still anxiously keeping an eye on your updates sir! :D
  2. There are tons of weapons, tanks, jets and whatever what I'd love to see in arma. Most of it can be done by modders or addon makers however. (thank you for your enthusiasm) I figured that they can do as much as the engine allows them and therefore my wish for this Xmas and the next ones would be big improvements in the engine and these tickets: http://dev-heaven.net/issues/24190 http://dev-heaven.net/issues/26352 http://dev-heaven.net/issues/24925 http://dev-heaven.net/issues/25583 http://dev-heaven.net/issues/25475 http://dev-heaven.net/issues/25517 http://dev-heaven.net/issues/26344 http://dev-heaven.net/issues/25349 http://dev-heaven.net/issues/26123 Also, I'd love to pay for that snow units/map DLC  ;)
  3. I found this in sticky section. If you made a wish in this thread, I suggest to look up this survey :) http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=2054577#post2054577 ( I'm sorry for reposting this but i figured that I never check on the stickies and there might be more like me :j: )

Improving the Light Engine| What and How

I openly admit i know next to nothing about light sources or HDR but something always seemed odd to me, be it smoke from fire, shadows or lights at night. (how well is JTD fire and smoke addon done compare to default smoke and fire? looks miles better to me even without touching up the engine i believe) +1 to this

    Wall Street Occupation

After watching ''this'', I sort of wish they would have....brought at least pepper sprays. Or eggs, tomatoes, anything. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meT8CJgEBQw So the US citizens, pay their taxes for this kind of service? Those who should serve them, protect them from theft and harm, those who they should seek in need and this is what they get ?? :j: Ice T might have had a point....

    Wall Street Occupation

Don't you get it at all? I hope that guy does have the balls and doesn't show up at all! How long do you think he/they will keep that job, before they let him/them, go again? This is call for a change, better future and they won't achieve that by mindlessly keeping their mouth shut and keep packing shit for company that was propably even bailed and than, the same company, as to say thank you to tax payers, will let go more of their stuff to keep the costs down. Moreover after that, they will buy robotics instead of hireing real people to maximize profits!!! Anti-greed, that is

    Wall Street Occupation

I read that has something to do with everyone out there being able to hear what one's gotta say. I also read, that wheather it is creepy or not, its hardly the real message we should be paying our attention to. Really great, related documentary posted by someone from this very forums (thx for posting this) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qIhDdST27g&feature=related

    War with Facebook

I understand, although I feel like its ~them & us thingy...
  15. He, reminds me of friend of mine who was constantly battleing and mocking his recently new lap. When he had enough and asked me to look at it i couldn't believe my eyes. After those two months or so he had lliterally hundreds of trojans and all kind of bad stuff, total chaos on his HDD and plenty of dust in his wents already... I just handed him his lap back knowing that buddy would be back in two weeks blaming me for some failure which I'd hardly cause anyways  FPDR FPDR
  16. Well games like CoD are obviously made for instant fun and there's nothing really wrong with it right? When BF2 / BF 1942 (or even C&Q) was realeased it didn't pretent its like war simulation or anything but it was sort of revolutionary. It had many features not seen before (at least i didn't recognize them elsewhere) and just after few moments playing it you recognized that developer really tried, and tried hard to bring something to PC gamers back than. Imho, CoD is the most visible model of todays thoroughly rotten gaming industry and i dare to say business alike. Something like when you happen to buy nicely packed apples only to find out its already half rotten when you open the package. Than you come back and they will sell you even worse for the same price, all over again but hey, people just do that and by thousands, so must be how it goes, right? Something that anyone would hardly ever get used to, yet its happenning right now. That said, its rather activision than the game, CoD, itself i guess. I simply never enjoyed POP music but I respect anyone who might like it...

    War with Facebook

I barely use FB but I can't deny that its somewhat handy at times and since some of my best buddies live all over places now and we don't have that much time to see each other. Its quite good for viewing their party videos or holiday pics etc though. That said its the only reason why I actually have account on FB. I propably would use it some more but the privacy stuff and infinite supply of some ~join online poker or get chips for that game shit ads or like button everywhere is just silly and rather pisses me off  Either way, I always make sure im signed off, use addons like better privacy, https everywhere, flashcookie removal and so on... plus my browser is set to clear all history after every session. Not like i feel the need to hide something  but i see no reason on keeping cookies and junk that i have no personal use for :)

A funny truth there mrcrash :) You simply never know >>> http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/Facebook-troll-jailed-mocking-death-teenager/story-13327593-detail/story.html
  19. Well said, like it :) I enjoyed Domi (not 24/7 though :p) a lot and its good place to start with, when you are new to the game.Furthemore it doesn't end up with domi, not at all but I feel its very good invite to arma kind of mission, plus the fact that newish players are willing to share the walkarounds of the game. just get on VOIP and join your first squad ;) If I feel however obligated to acknowledge the OP, that arma is not easy game, not like CoD, BF6 or anything along those and require some more general effort than other named games. Overall I believe the more you know about arma and its walkabouts, the more you will enjoy it. EDIT - @Tonic I disagree as thats not entirely truth.Just becouse some or most dislike project reality as MP mod doesnt mean its not worthy to try, as this is what i currently play and enjoy the most.
  20. Thank you for your dedication Sickboy and I enjoy your holiday ! :)
  21. Well I've been fun of BF2 ages ago and was looking forward to at least try BF3, even though i had my (big) doubts about BF3 being as succesfull and fun as BF2 was back than. After watching the gameplay videos though, it became clear that its just another BFBC2 with different name and some improvements and too many colors all over the screen etc..so no, not for me. What I like in arma however, are endless mission possibilities, huge and i mean huge maps for different battle tactics with tanks or without them, air support assets and ten's if not hundred's weapons to choose from. I suggest to look up some videos and see for yourself ;) Your call :)

    More accessible mission design

@Metalcraze, you're obviously a hardcore arma fun.Thats great and i respect that but such elitism won't get as (BIS?) anywhere in my opinion. So why don't we put aside the sarcasm or some IQ prejustice as not everyone who has recently joined is 16-ish and we focus on how to help this very potential developer make their games awsome just little more instead? Its not only missions what is being talked about here, it is the lack of manual and basic guideance for new players.I for one trully don't believe its becouse controls are too complex or missions are too hard opr reloading animations take too long..(make them twice that long for all I care..) but becouse of too many bugs, errors etc..( Deleted CAwheeled error took me over month to figure out and I googled and googled...) Heck, even if newbies end up playing arma domi coop (or similar)for years, so what? Everyone's happy right? Where the pain begins however, when they might wanna move on and start to download addons and such. It's not too long ago when i heard that some players doesn't even know of armaholic or tools like six updater.Things like this should be made as easy as possible. (six updater integration for ex..) It might not be too long before they become mission or even addon makers themselfs, if they're given the (at least proper basic) instructions. As of BIS not welcoming new players, that must plain wrong, else why would they even consider something like ''incoming bullet indicator''?

    More accessible mission design

Well, if anyone skipps on BF or Cod etc. is fine i guess.I mean would you really need one? ( having played BF2 i didn't ) I however did exactly that - after I found the manual utterly disappointing and being tired of all youtube videos etc my next choice obviously was to hop straight in MP, not becouse of insta pwning but naturaly becouse of frustration. That said, if people having trouble with how to exactly use sickboy's excellent six updater, (Well like me in the beginning) how can we expect new-ish players to get into such games like arma is?

The trouble with getting people into Arma

Dude, I'm mostly playing PvP and i can tell you that some age matters are quite redundant. Older players tend assume they know better than their SL or commander and are becoming lonewolfes and thus pretty usless to the team. For example Logistics doesn't require any tremendous skills and are very important, even though some team/s only realize that only when they loose them. What any team will value, is maturity, teamwork/dedication and of course its all about having good time. Back on topic - After playing the demo back than i thought of it as horrendouse experience to be honest. The demo felt unfinished, full of bugs with rather funny animations, again, with plenty of bugs and i had no idea how to use all the AI's and pretty much anything since even manual didn't cover pretty much anything. So i joined some server where absolutely nothing was happening, AI was standing without moving and everything was on fire.People didn't communicate nor respond (I was lucky to figure out how to use chat) to any comments, no matter how polite i was. I got back to arma later however, after watching some videos from full game which looked really great and like hell lot of fun so i bought AO and continued my everyday research on how to do stuff, how mods works, and how to use the editor. All in all it was very challanging to get some basic grip on the game but it was quite fun as i was becoming pretty curious about this whole Arma game potential.Nonetheless, community made missions and addons is what make this game trully outstanding and IMO is what keeps arma alive.
  25. Cool idea, why not. Although I'd love to see properly done backround radio chatter more than anything.Radio chatter is the only feature i trully miss in arma! @Deadeyez-just checked your tunes and hell i like some!! liquid DnB FTW!!
