  2. Well from this thread I am guessing, if BIS do nothing... stealing other peoples mods and calling pay to play a donation is now ok, because BIS do nothing about it ? Unless of course BIS would like to contribute to the the thread ? Telling me I am wrong but doing nothing about A3L is a contradiction btw !

  4. You solution was fine Ice and thanks for helping. I will make a ticket though at some point as the Editor settings do not work seem to work when a mission runs for days.

Currently we use these settings in the mission.sqm On a mission that can and does run nonstop for weeks on end, mission updates, game updates and mod updates permitting. startWeather=0; startWind=0; startWindDir=275; forecastWeather=0; forecastWind=0; forecastWaves=0; forecastWindDir=80; year=2035; month=7; day=6; hour=0; minute=0; startFogDecay=0; forecastFogDecay=0; We have also tried =1; in all the above code. When we start the mission its a very clear day. But after about 3 days it starts to get foggy and rainy. Also when people join after the first 3 days there is anywhere between a 10-20 min dysynch in the weather between players. The fog and rain will then last days without stopping. Unsure but I think after about a week the rain stops for a few days then restarts. We run no other weather altering scripts except whats in the mission.sqm. We don't mind the weather so much but we hate the dislocated weather differences between players. Even that we kinda put up with but after 2 or 3 days of constant rain ingame, most people no longer wish to play and would rather restart the mission. which is a shame as its designed to be played over many Days / Weeks. So for us a constant non changing weather is a good solution. Obviously this is a pain in the arse to test because of the real life timescales. Any help or suggestions welcome ! We would prefer to not use constantly looping scripts to update the weather as the mission is quite intensive performance wise as is. BL1P.
  6. shouldnt we be able to just set the weather at clear and forecast clear and not have the weather change ? rather than running scripts to do what the engine should do anyway ? Thanks for the script and all but as the editor has a start weather state and a forecast state should they not actually work ? Hmm still sounds bad THANKS for the script :) love you long time !

    Make it so that Ai can only be cargo in your mission ? Eg not gunners or pilots.

  11. I run private servers and the only reasons to ever change the Key on a mod "as far as I know" is:- 1. Original key is broken. 2. You have altered the .pbo 3. You want to restrict who can join the server. Apart from the above the Key does not need altering. And you certainly do not have to do it to maintain a mod-set unless as above. What I feel he/they are saying is that they have a mod set on their server which has other authors mods inside it. This alone isn't an offence and has been going on for a long time on a lot of servers. What is wrong and he/they do not understand, is that you cannot then release that mod set to the community as your work and you sure as hell cannot charge for it as a donation scam. Hes maybe now starting to understand that calling "pay to play" a "donation", is not a loophole in the eyes of the community or the law. And that you can't take other peoples work and re release it under a donation scam or as a new mod called A3L. Its a shame when this Kind of community takes and abuses the mods that the original community put out there for the ArmA series so they can gain a fast buck. A few days of asking authors for permission would have saved them and the community a lot of headaches. along with 5 minutes reading the arma3 elua. Caiden is obviously under a lot of stress at the moment, judging by his responses. I would suggest to him that he asks his parents for advice before things escalate. Very interesting thread Hope BIS/PayPal/Steam make an example so other Donation Scam communities sit up and take note. P.S feel free to make a donation to me so I can get some BEER :)

    Voted. Out of all the mods we use/have used Acre is always the one we say we couldn't play without, also its not a copy of another radio mod its the one copies are made from... so it gets my vote :)
  15. Wonder if that was to happen, does steam then disable the account or the ArmA3 part of steam running the servers and does the court also contact the isps running the servers ? Popcorn time on this one :)

  17. I did use a similar script system for halo from flagpole myself in Arma2, I allowed the halo as long as nobody was a pilot on the server. Sadly I don't have the snippet handy but it was similar to Jshocks first loop but with a typeOf player == B_Pilot_F in the loop. Just an idea for you :)

Thanks Nice info does any of it alter how videos end up looking on YouTube ? ---------- Post added at 09:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:20 PM ---------- Even so his videos when he records in first person with movement have the same problem (less than when at 1080) but they still have the same blurry problem when moving in first person. BUT a lot of his videos are static cameras especially the Guides. Or slow moving cameras not gameplay first person movement recorded. Note : before he comes and rants :) I like his videos.
  19. Update :- After watching alot of youtube ArmA3 videos by most of the top uploaders on youtube. This problem is present on all videos uploaded to youtube of ArmA3. Less obvious when using 3rd person camera mode but still present.

    ACRE2 Public Beta Release

    Hello Nou. Any news on if you will be removing the looping error report hint or if BIS have fixed the bug that causes it, as my group had to revert back to v560 and would like to update but cannot while that error report still appears. As it means restarting a mission that is designed to run for weeks on end. PS. Since the latest update from bis, With Acre2 v560 we have noticed no problematic radios. Whereas before the update some players would have problems. Thanks. BL1P.

    Hi m8 sorry you thought I was trolling I am not. I felt you made a mistake calling it FPS and then using TPS videos. These are the definitions of both :- FPS - First-person shooters are a type of three-dimensional shooter game,featuring a first-person point of view with which the player sees the action through the eyes of the player character. They are unlike third-person shooters, in which the player can see (usually from behind) the character they are controlling. The primary design element is combat, mainly involving firearms. TPS - A third-person shooter is a game structured around shooting, and in which the player can see the avatar on-screen in a third-person view. FPS - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First-person_shooter TPS - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third-person_shooter There is a massive difference between TPS and FPS tactics where ArmA is concerned. PS.
