    I update everything slowly but surely. There's quite a lot to look at for me. Still kind of new to arma modding. Not really sure if anything in this mod is finished, but it's all improving a little by every update :)

    Yeah, wip. They are just in there to show what the more modern units might look like soon in this mod. They have rifles in my current version, altough not what I want still. I'd like a m24 usable, but it's far from finished.

    Thanks to Binkowski, Sabre and Johannes! Yes, they currently are dark in the released version. I have not yet updated the mod to 1.6. In 1.6 the dark shadows are fixed, so it'll happen someday now :)

    Helmet without a texture

    I've yet to have the helmet visible in-game by making a new config for the model. If I use VAS and equip the reapermask I can see it like you could. It's still invisible with my own config. I must have forgot something.

    You know where this helmet .p3d file is located? I'll check out the config for the reapermask config meanwhile. Might find it all myself. /edit "\A3\Characters_F\Common\headgear_placeholder.p3d" :p

    @Thread title: They've been honest if anything. I've not seen any bad surprises yet. Going through this thread, most here really need to read-up on BIS statements. All from campaign to vehicles. There's also huge lists of patch notes. Please, go through the sitreps atleast and actually read it all.     The units are placeable in the editor. If you're joining a mission on multiplayer, the host/server with the mission needs to have them as part of the mission itself.

    Yes. All players will need to download the mods and install them. Missions will be downloaded automatically.

    Alright, that was almost what I was expecting :p Whenever I can turn it fully into a Mk48, I will do that. I still need new animations for the LMG's. They are held too high on the shoulder right now. The early vests are actually removed. I had to remove them because they were in significally lower resolution and did not fit anymore. The addon consists of 3 .pbo files. av_indus (most soldier stuff) av_weapons (all weapons) av_ess (custom goggles) The helmet in the picture is a A3 standard helmet. I'm thinking about making my own camo netting for one of the ach/mich helmets. Next version has some welcomed fixes. Everything might look a little better after it :)

    I could easily do that. Since I've already made the textures for the armed versions too :) Left them out for the moment because I thought they were looking too futuristic. I've been looking around for a grenade launcher other than the M203. I have a M203 able to be fitted onto the M16A4, but no shorter version yet. It also needs some fixing with it's leaf-sight textures. Will look into it! Ye, I know about that one. Will see about filling the gaps. Not something fancy, though. It'll probably look terrible when it's on the ground, but it does now anyways since it's the wrong model when it's on the ground. Right now it's the independent vest model with the eagle SPC vest textures. Looks odd. I'll only keep the flag for the UCP/OCP versions then :) What kind of morale patch would fit without looking extremely copy-paste? Major-League-Infidel? Could just leave it blank too. What InstaGoat said, and maybe. Some units might actually fit with that uniform, but I might also just include the NATO uniform to add more content.

    Thank you! Tried it right away. Worked much like I though it would, and it was an improvement! Better than default sensitivity for me atleast. Works the best for me at 60% aiming deadzone. That way the weapon you're holding wont be able to aim left and right more than the limit is after you transition from jog to combat jog with your rifle raised. There was an error launching the game with the mod turned on. One of the addon files required an addon called "bin_bin".

    This sounds promising! I am still eagerly waiting for an official fix for the aiming dead-zone. What ruins it for me is how slowly the character turns after you hit the 'edge' of the aim-movement-zone. Are you telling me you fixed that? :D

    I figured. I seem to be doing 2010-2011 era stuff based on what everybody is telling me :D The units I am focusing on are the UCP units since that's something most people really can relate to. OCP units are quite easy to include after I've managed to get the setup of units finished. My plan is to find myself some IOTV's to equip the UCP units with, and then keep the majority of plate-carriers on OCP units. Would that make sense?

    I've thought about it, but then you remove the option completely to have goggles on the helmet, and tactical shades equipped. I know about the goggle alpha-texture issue when it's ontop of the helmet. If that is the one you meant. Right now I'm not so sure why it is so. That bug with the vest getting really dark in shadows has started to annoy me. So I fixed it. Was a tiny error in the .rvmat. I also updated the normal map so the molle stands out less, making it more pleasant to look at. http://imageshack.us/a/img837/7236/8tsc.png Also tweaked the undercolor of the combat-shirt.     Might not see them at release, but I have no fear of them not being in at all. They've already shown in-game screens of women, and the classnames for the characters and female uniforms are there. Only thing missing are female voices and a config for them is how I see it :p
  25. There will be females in the final game, so wouldn't we all be able to switch to a female face in the profile editor?
