    Skeeko's U.S. Army

I actually have some army textures for the green army gear too. Mines UCP camo, though. Figured I wasn't alone doing it =p

    Swedish Army Mod 3 (SAM)

The work you guys make looks real promising so far! :) Are the AK5s working in A3 standards? Dynamic muzzleflash, custom optics/attachments etc.?

    German Armed Forces Mod

Definitely some of the sexiest/most detailed ships I've ever seen made by the community for any ArmA title. Could you please elaborate on how exactly that is going to work? :) I've seen familiar things done in VBS2, but I have no idea if it's doable in the current arma3 engine.

Those looks like they'd be real great assets!

    Fast Transitions Mod

Great work! That small glitch in the animations is quite annoying sometimes. I wonder if there's a ticket about it. edit: (Found one for the ones interested http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=8968)

Their gear just keeps clipping through the balaclavas. So I'm unsure if I'll actually add them.

I believe that part is on the BIS wiki too if you haven't seen it. Are you having any un-expected problems or do you think it'll work out alright? I'm trying to get a Stryker (M1126 ICV M2)(BIS sample model) in-game. I believe I need to set up suspension and all that shit. It's in-game, but it's not enterable by just standing next to it, the textures are not done, it behaves like a brick, it can't shoot and it does not really work in the meny correctly. I'm doing progress, though. Also. Is the ArmA1 Stryker undersized or is it the correct size by default? Anyone who knows for sure?

    KSG-12 Shotgun mod For A3

That is exactly what I am saying :) Activision would be much quicker about it, lol. And I do not think anyone has been sued for making a mod, but BIS gets the blame for what's on their forums I'd guess. If permission was not given from Activision that is.

    KSG-12 Shotgun mod For A3

Because it's from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Activision has some great artists. This is probably not going to be up for download much longer :p

    RH wip Thread

Robert, what kind of rifle/rifles are in main focus right now? Are any sub machine-guns going to make it into ArmA3? :) I'm a great fan of some of the personal defense weapons released for ArmA2. Hk MP5s and the P90 was great fun to use.

I believe they are in fact the exact same rifle. Only the flash hider is different. I did a quick reskin for the existing EBR rifle to make it look like the MGS one. Here are some screens. You can compare them yourself :) http://imageshack.us/a/img819/5669/arma32013060500321650.png http://imageshack.us/a/img585/6092/arma32013060500333092.png http://imageshack.us/a/img843/5134/arma32013060500352514.png http://imageshack.us/a/img38/3236/arma32013060500445359.png

Nah, they'll be Opfor, or the next best Independent. But I want them as Opfor :) Mother of chocolate cookies that is still sexy! Awesome :D The animations are obviously not corrected since it sits quite high in his hands, but the question of using a frontgrip vs no frontgrip comes to mind. I'd feel having it w/o frontgrip like this would spice things up from what every arma player is used to: http://img439.imageshack.us/img439/3921/scarh016yd.jpg But at the same time it's probably not that common.

I'm glad to hear. It's a tiny pack, really. But I feel they're more worthy oponments compared to the Iranians. No idea why. ArmA opfor has had a good streak of being less well equipped visually imo and it must've gotten stuck in my head :p Possible? :D Could it be scripted per mission? Not saying I want it in this pack, It would just be hilarious to see. I have not showed the current progress on some of the pilots. They're not specifically from the MGS universe, but I'd say they fit right in. Will probably get some better pictures of them later. I made them for the sake of having some variation and to not have the default looking opfor pilots if there are helicopters invovled in the mission. Armor crew will probably get made too.

Personally I'd have one or the other and no mixed version. 2nd gen seems like an appropriate way to go. I tried having a (Kiorys) balaclava AND goggles as the same model. There was only horrible clipping when wearing caps and the like. ice123 have swat units with balaclavas that are defined in their identities, meaning they're not an item and they are not thicker than the default faces. That would work perfectly for this if I just could maybe make their masks not have a mouth area that is super detailed like now. It's too skintight to look believable. Could maybe work as a placeholder atm. They're both exactly the same still, right? Only difference being BIS model is tan. I can't spot any other difference. I'd be nice having a dark EBR with it's default optics being the SOS scope available now.

Care to elaborate? :) "These ArmA2 models" as in the ArmA2 models? What yer sittin' on? Getting ArmA2 models to ArmA3 the same way as AllInArma?

I did send him a pm a long time ago about those, just asking if they'd be up for a release or not, I think. Can't remember. No answer tho :p

Great stuff! And yes. I really don't want this do be dependant on other mods, but as soon as there is a Mk.16 or Mk.17 available, it'll be their main armament. I do not think we'll se an older version of the Mk.17 in ArmA3 for some time either. So it's gonna be the first possible version available. M4s would be nice to have, but not needed as of now. Mk.17 is the target. I'll get the PMCs their NATO nationalities back too. Seems more accurate. I could not find any brittish identities for use yet, but they'll probably come some day. There's a Stryker ICV in BIS sample models. I have not yet learned how to configure vehicles for ArmA3, so that'd be a project to try so I can learn. If I manage to do it I'll update the textures significally and even try to get more hatches/ramps working. Only the ICV version though, since it'd be of most use when these guys have no trasnsport at all right now. Drebins "EYE HAVE YOU" version was certainly interesting  and no big deal to make if I finish a ICV, but no priority.

I have no idea, so I'll probably look it up somewhere me too. I just thought I'd make them something special. I really don't know shit when it comes to the MGS universe. I'll probably change if it's unaccurate how they are now. Currently looking into giving them balaclavas AND goggles. It'll probably end up being too much models clipping into each other. /edit I looked it up more closely now. They are infact brittish. I'll work that in. I wonder if british voices are an option soon, or now? Anyways, I'll fix it.

    Helmet problem..

I might be having the same problem with a pair of goggles! In-game they are floating in the mid-air inside of the soldiers. Even if you go prone, it's floating in the same spot. It does not follow head movement. I've re-checked several times that the goggles are in fact assigned to my selection "head", I've got an empty geometry lod with autocenter set to 0. A3 cap template was used for positioning. It has all the textures and stuff in-game. It's got a model.cfg with the goggles defined. Will check if i's the correct name / the same as the p3d. //edit Yup. model.cfg had the goggle classname there, not it's p3d name. Fixed it for me. Op should check too :)

    Question

One great way to gain some knowledge is downloading the BIS tools and the ArmA1 sample models package found somewhere. You can then open models with Oxygen2 (BIS modeling tool) and look at how many ArmA1 models were made, and they're not too different from ArmA3 stuff. If you know how to make 3d models from scratch first, it's a big plus.
  21. That's a pretty nice set wheels! Hood detail looks spot on so far.

Would be pretty sweet IMO. I have not seen it confirmed anywhere, though. Custom gamemode, lol. One player as snake against PMCs trying to find him. It'd be like hide and seek. We need a custom hat model that is a giant box. And it would be kinda scary for us mortals to go up against those ladies. I'm thinking stryker ICW w/ 50.cal. The model aint too bad in ArmA1 from what I remember? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Also. ESS protective goggles. They come in green tan and black. I got the idea from Slatts who did this a while back for ArmA2. I took the goggle from a ArmaA1 BIS sample model. I also updated the textures so it fits in ArmA3. Silly really how it could've looked this sexy back in ArmA1 with the right textures.

    MGS inspired PMC (Opfor)

That is completely doable. Kiorys balaclava + some protective goggles as one .p3d and it's the closest it can get.
  24. Insane scar you got there :D Can't find anything to criticise on from what I can see. What's the current plan for it? Do you have plans for a H version? Different barrels? I'm interested in this :)

Yeah. Always better to ask :) Not sure if he released them just to have people re-use them or not since he did not clarify in his thread. But the problem still presists. They clip through the asian face variants really bad. Only on them, though, so there might be other appropriate faces to use underneath.
