    Great mod. Something I always needed but never knew it. But I do have a couple requests: can you store the changes in a user config, rather than the current method, so we can change these as we see fit? If I could set the init and max FOV just slightly lower, I think it'd be perfect. One other thing I'd like to see is a class name blacklist, so we can define specific vehicles that don't work all that well with the changes. Great work, and thank you.
  2. Just played in Zeleno last night using ALiVE & RHS, and it worked perfectly. So I'd assume that it's simply a bad file somewhere.

    I've not had any serious issues with *************** (Moderaters, why is T K ers censored?) on my servers. It just so happens that I kick them on first offense, and ban afterwards. You wouldn't believe how effective it is. I'm not sure which lack of control you're speaking of. I can kick and ban just fine using BE Rcon access.

    Because it's information that isn't readily avaliable for the server browser. It'd either need to read and parse the entirety of the server profile for each server, which would drastically slow it all down. Or it'd need a description.txt variable made for it, that the mission designers set themselves, similar to the way gametype is used.

    The problem is that we're now dealing with public players rather than dev branch players. It's an entirely different audience. Most pub players at this point log out at mach end, just migrating from one server to the next, without waiting to see if it even resets now. They genuinely don't give a fuck, and that's if they know what the hell the commands are or mean in the first place. I told one of my clan mates who has been playing Arma 3 since release, and the only thing I could get from him on restarting the server was, "I hate learning new things. If it ends, I'll just follow them to another server. Fuck it." This seems to be the sentiment of most pub players. Nobody gets it or nobody wants to.

    End Game MP Mode - Feedback

    After dying, Under higher lag situations, you can shoot enemies between when you die and when the script kicks in and incapacitates you. This has led to a lot of war crimes in End Game. You can deploy and blow mines while incapacitated. You can continue capturing an objective while incapacitated. You can revive people through walls, doors, etc. Group menu duplicates members occasionally, but will also occasionally not show a player in the world that shows up fine in the group menu. Cannot remove NVG, as it is not in the arsenal. After removal, saved loadouts using NVGs are no longer usable. When the server is running CBA, status bars such as the intel upload bar will continue past 100%. Will continue this after another night of playing. Server has been full every night since patch release. Thanks BIS, having a great time. Edit: Groups menu resets each time someone joins the group. This makes early game group manipulation nearly impossible early game unless you're running a small group.

    Mod seems to work well with the opfor replacement pack that gives them proper Iranian looking gear, rather than Star Wars looking gear. Def something worth downloading if the futuristic looking crap bothers you like it does me.

    Feature requests: Config to dictate variables such as whether player should be effected by script, whether long range rifles or heavy AT should be included in the swap (swapping an rpg for a metis could be bad for mission flow), whether to use BIS or addon ammo for addon weapons that support it, whether attachments should pull from addon pool or not... I think that about exhausts what would make this mod perfect for me. Great work Twisted. This will make SP missions and the campaign feel a whole lot less cheap while playing with awesome addon guns (VAA was getting old, and was too powerful not to sway my morals mid-mission)

    Not sure if this has been addressed, since it's a fairly early post in this thread. But some of the heavier LMGs in real life can be fired just as easily. In fact, I'm good friends with an armory tech from Crane Naval Base, who's sent me videos more than once of him one handed firing M60's and the like without too much difficulty. These weapons are some serious force multipliers.
  11. I finally noticed that the affiliate program has been canceled after trying to log into it after realizing that some Arma 2 70% off adds were incessantly repeating despite there being no sale. I fully understand the need to shut the program down, and I wish BIS's marketing guys the best of luck on future endeavors. But I was wondering if the ads themselves can continue being maintained? I was ecstatic to hear that BIS opened an affiliate program. Not because I figured I could make stacks on stacks of cash, but because I finally had relevant ad content to help with the layout of my clan site. Actual relevant ads are a godsend for guys trying to keep a presentable web presence for their clan, and it's pretty noticeable now that it's gone. I honestly don't care one mite about making money off of BIS ads, but I'd really love it if I could still use them.

    You'll also have to worry about situations where they take control of another unit, such as using UAVs. You'd be much better off using a hotkey instead of a menu item. Solves the problem entirely.

    Using Sari's Edition, edit the parameters file to include higher town respawn range. Boost it to something like 4k or 6k so you can spawn to a town from just about anywhere. Also, you should be able to keep your gear on death already. Check the params and make sure you don't have any gear respawn penalties on that would remove it.

    Keep both if you frequently play servers that allow mods. I'm sure it'll take some time before most servers have the new mod keyed up. But don't run both at the same time. Will break all kinds of things, I'm sure.

    Yup, I'm a thief of the worst kind. lol. :P I'll echo what our Saiyan friend says here though. Really thankful you took a thoughtful look at it, and even more that it wasn't entirely intentional. I will say that when you see some people getting angry or upset about things like this... try to look at it from a different angle before you let it ruin your attitude. These guys wouldn't be upset if they weren't so passionate about the work you do. It's awesome and they know it. Otherwise they wouldn't be here. Keep it up dude. Thanks a ton.

You guys seriously expected a 100mbit single server connection to host this while denying foxhound and crew a copy to host for you? Love to try it, JH, and I'm sure I'll love it when I do. Eventually...............................................................

    Set up an FTP server to your Arma server folder, then just drop the keys in from your PC via Filezilla. Works perfect on my slice of the server. With the added benefit of not having to muck around through remote desktop connection lag to browse to and download it. I will second your request for separate keys though. So much more convenient.

    With the smaller map, you'll need to take things into account like starting spawn distance, towns spawn range, towns protection range, towns defense spawn range, etc. For instance, it'd be pretty crappy to have towns spawn 800 m out on utes. You'd spawn half the island just starting the game. Also be sure to adjust town value accordingly. It's not going to go well if all the towns are set at a value of 50 or all set to 500. Personally, on smaller map games like utes, I prefer a town respawn range of as large as the map to facilitate quick and heavy PVP action. Also, on the banner, that's not quite how it works. You won't increase or decrease it's size, but instead town values. The speed at which it increases and decreases is dependent on the value of the given town. In the MP lobby, you can just click remove AI or no AI (can't remember exactly what the button is called) to remove them all, then click on the slots you want to add them back individually. You can also effectively do the same a bit more permanently by just deleting the units in the editor. I can even offer you a place to host it, if you'd like.

    You'll need to make the changes in the CTI logic flag you'll see on the map. It holds some town info. Best way is to copy everything but the towns and spawn points, and then copy town0 and spawn0 and just serialize the new ones accordingly. (Way less clutter) You'll also want to be sure to change who green team is hostile to, otherwise as soon as you get some kills, your AI team will turn on you. You can do that in mission settings in the editor. Also, you'll have to make all your units playable again, which is a huge pain in the ass.

  23. I've been using both just fine in TP. Addon version of MCC seems to work just fine, and the zues rights it gives me work too. Also works when I just place down a zues module in a blank mission. I haven't tried saving anything though, so I can't report on that.
  24. Summer Chernarus. Lots of new open buildings on sara too. Lighting seems better on desert islands? Not sure if that's new or not though.
