Hey Guys, Question for those who play multiplayer wasteland. Are there any advantages on the following screens? 4K Monitor Vs. 1440p Vs. 1080p. Right now I got the rig to drive them all. I was looking to have an advantage while playing Wasteland. My question is, is there any advantage to seeing players better by having a larger resolution? Such as 4K Monitor Vs. 1440p Vs. 1080p? My rig is a 5820k, titan x, 16gb ddr4. Right now i'm using a basic 1080p monitor that has 144hz 1ms response time and gysnc. In Wasteland, I don't see more than 100fps. I get down to 40fps when the fighting begins. Hardest thing though is spotting people. My old eyes are old. And I'm just wondering if you guys think there is any advantages to running the higher resolutions. I am looking for a 27-32" screen as well. Any recommendations? i am also constantly getting a black screen in game. sometimes it happens 10 mins into game and other times 15 or 20 minutes. nvidia drivers are up to date. windows 7 files are up to date. i7 5820k x99 gigabyte titan x 16gb corsair ddr4 before this arma patch, i did not have a single issue in the most recent 3 months. i've rolled back nvidia drivers and still get the same issue. black screen in arma 3. no other games give me any issues. please hotfix guys, thank you..

Alright. So overclocking does make it feel smoother. My placebo. I didn't actually compare the before and after but at no time was I using more than 95% of my GPU. With a Titan X and a 200mhz overclock on both GPU and Memory Clocks With GPU settings on max, GPU usage is around 70%. With GPU settings on low, GPU usage is around 50%. This is post Nvidia Driver Update for the Witcher. Before the Witcher driver update, I was seeing 95% usage... IDK.

Hey guys. Thanks for your responses. I only play Arma 3 at the moment. I know I wasted cash on the GPU but I had the money and I wanted to waste it. Another question if you guys are till around, I'm running 5820k at 4.5ghz and memory on XMP at 2666mhz (standard speed for my memory) with 15 15 15 35cas timings and T1 clock. What is going to give me more FPS? 10 10 10 20 T1 clock or 3.6ghz memory speed? (i know this is an exaggeration but just trying to understand what i should focus on) thanks in advance.

Will overclocking the Titan X with Precision X produce more frames for Arma 3? I know this game is CPU hungry, but I wanted to ask if you think it would do me any different for FPS increase. Whatever base clock is. If I boosted 100+ on both core and memory or whatever I could get away with stability wise.

alright. i got her all running. i know i know. arma 3 sucks no matter how powerful the rig is. i'm looking for custom parameters. does this look like the correct parameters? -enableHT -maxMem=2047 -maxVram=3071 -malloc=tbbmalloc -noBenchmark -noLogs -noPause -noSplash -world=empty anyone care to add or subtract some parameters? i'm using an 5820k w/ titan x and 16gb ram thx for all the help guys.

I know ARMA 3 is CPU heavy. I have an I7 overclocked. I'm trying to decide on a GPU/S. I have $1,500 for my GPU budget. I worked for it and i'm a grown man. My question is: Does Arma 3 run better with GTX980s in SLI or 1 GTX Titan. I'll be using a single 1080p or 1440p monitor. I will be playing Wasteland Mulitplayer Servers

everyone complains about fps like its the end of the world. move onto another game if you cant play it or enjoy it. i know what youre saying. ive put 700 hours in arma3 in the last 6 months. and i also play koh. my rig is prolly twice the costs of yours and my frames are 16-26 depending on the location or vehicle. i do play with all my settings maxed. but its not just you and your computers. its the engine and its terrible. but if i were to make any suggestions or additions to the engine, i'd fail even harder. options for everyone in troubleshooting with frame rate issues: 1. MOVE ONTO ANOTHER GAME 2. QUIT YOUR BITCHING 3. OR SUCK IT UP AND PLAY THIS CRAP ENGINE OH AND BI, IF YOU WERE TO HAVE A FLAWLESS ENGINE LIKE WE ALL WISH YOU COULD HAVE, YOU'D PROLLY HAVE ONE VERY SUCCESSFUL GAME.

i did the same thing till i joined the teamspeak on the servers i like to play on and verified that the game is pretty unplayable as it is constant crashing.

don't worry my man. it aint your computer its an arma 3 thing. most people cant play because of the constant crashing in multiplayer mode.

sorry i cant be more helpful. but expect latency and desync to be your fps bottleneck. welcome to arma 3 and 30 fps with your 3k machine.
