  3. Alright today 4 am I receive a call from clan members that the server is lagging so I take a peak and notice the ArmA Server is running on 1 CPU only.. The server itself have 8 cores and I recently updated it to Beta too as adding cpucount due I discovered this bug too before.. Its really pissing me off that it does this. Server Specs - Type AMD Opteronâ„¢ 3280 8 cores @ 2.4Ghz each 16 GB Ram Performance during 1 CPU usage 6 fps.. Anychance its a arma bug? Or Box bugged.

  5. I have read about their article .. As it seems its reasonable what they've done I still can't see 2.4GHZ each core is to weak .. As there are servers out there offering stronger cpu, they offer less ram. I will stay with my Octo Core & 16GB Ram as it seems reasonable cause the CPU usage depends on how many AI you have and most user made missions (Insurgency for example spawns around 50 - 100 ai same time cause of the big world and players) which isn't really a issue for us due the server were running smooth with 10 FPS (It was running like it was on 50 fps) and no one were desyncing again after 3 minutes. Therefor, moderator please close this thread - I've been informed of cause and its been resolved (Highly recommend that its stored somewhere so people that want to buy a new server doesn't do a mistake like I've done)
  6. I still find a issue that the usage of cores isn't really done properly and that AI usage is stuck on 1 Core, the rest is blended out in different cores.. Maybe something to fix in ArmA 3 ?

  9. Alright thanks for the help, any chance BI is fixing the Multi Core usage and tries to use all cores fully? Instead of having AI using 1 core .. (Funny part we didn't feel any AI issues just desync for a small amount of time then it went smooth).. But is 2.4Ghz too weak for each core? As we mainly use the server for private missions (Not AI that is like 1k) & Web hosting as different games and 1 public server for arma.
  10. Before I set cpuCount to 4 - It does not recognize 8 cores right? Only four cores correct?
  11. So to be exact, The Octo Core with 2.4GHZ is kinda weak cause what I get is that 1 Core is for AI and another one is for the rest .. Shouldn't this be fixed? Cause more cores usage is easier to maintain the "Smoothness", as your members were having a smoothness when Server FPS were at 10.
  12. Cause 1 core is weak as its 2.4GHZ Each Core, if I run at least 4 core I can offer a smooth playing with at least a server fps rate of ~30-40fps ..

Operation King Spades Mission dev words - This is my first public release of a mission, its really some core scripting which is easy and from there I got this mission created :) Please if there is any issues please post here or PM me :) Mission briefing - Your playing as a squad of S.A.S from UKSF(United Kingdom Special Forces) where you've recevied orders from Overlord about King Spade(Saddam Hussein party member). Overlord have sended us intel about one of the spades in Saddam Hussein's leading, King spade. Our objective is to check out the 3 marked areas and capture King Spade if hes near any of those location and take him to DZ where 16AA will transport him back to HQ. Mission Notes - King spade is really hard to find and only way to find him is to go to a person and click enter to get a scroll menu order who says "Capture King Spades" but he spawns exactly at the marker (Not running away). Be aware - If King Spade dies, mission is lost! As the only one that is able to revive is the medics!   16. Instead of making a new thread I find it reasonable to post it here even thought its in wrong section but its regarding the script by F2k. I decided to make a firing range but as I am lazy and found out that F2K had released a good firing range script with targets & count system I decided to use it(It works perfect yes!) until I put it on a dedicated server where the popup targets screws up, basically - The target pops up I hit it but it re pops up + a new target pops up and when I shoot the other target the old target pops up and the new target pops up and another new one pop ups which is kinda messy so I decided to re-script the animation way(Still does this but it doesn't pop up fully) and now I really need help - How to fix this so the targets stop popping up after being hit.. Script: I added eventHandler it neither fixed the issue and just caused more problem so I removed it.. Any issues you guys can see except I am repeating shitout of animation?
  17. Thing is I am running a Octo core at 2.4Ghz each core & 16 GB Ram with CPUCount 8 as launch parameter .. and I still find it pretty much "stupid" that fps is dropping at 10 ..
  18. Alright, I will try that :) Update: Alright, I put on warfare with AI enabled and the FPS went from 50 (6 players ) to 10 - 12 when we had 10 players .. Any ideas?

It depends where you join as I have requirements on the server I am handling as fixing the maps that every pilot is required to be on TS and that there is enough ground people and your capable flying because resources ain't unlimited every map :) Feel free to hit me up if you want IP to the server so you can fly a bit as I wouldn't mind having you there flying if you just wouldn't screw it up basically - Crashing every single vehicle and being a dick head.
  20. OK, this is starting to piss me off as a server manager .. A Octo Core server with 16 GB Ram is having huge fps drops with 10 - 7 players(FPS is around 37-27 - Max peek 47, very rare) and I have configured it the best way I can by reading here. Our cfg: I removed minbandwith as I read from someone that Suma said its proper set already so no need to set it.
  21. My problem is your using Shared Hosting, which means the CPU usage is really and I mean it REALLY BIG which can cause lag. I highly recommend a dedicated server as it only cost few bucks extra than the shared hosting does ..
  22. My explaination for server - Run the beta patch on your computer and drag the beta files to your server beta folder and take out arma2oaserver from there and move it to main and launch beta :)
  23. I'll do it for free as ArmA II Server setup shouldn't be paid to get something easy set up (takes like 10 - 5 minutes of your time), if you still require help please PM me :)
