    Like I said in another thread, I think you should be able to lock on to all targets beyond identification range or none. If you allowed it would stop players from identifying targets with 'tab', but it would also open the door for a lot of TKing.

    Main problem is to lock/hit/kill target either you or someone else or realistic device should be able to see,recognize ,track and lock target.

    Firing into green or red squares it not my peace of bread and absolutely not logical.

    Also if you not read carefully we are talking about only for veteran settings.


  2. also im experiencing wierd issues were TAB lock, playing as either KA-52,MI-24V or allmost any other heli, doesnt lock on to idle (not moving) enemy cars.

    it comprise idea.Was removed lock from white targets(idle). Next fix should allow you move turret with engine off and stay idle as well.


  3. Tested with latest beta A10 and SU34 with ai gunner.

    Really not difficult to destroy targets.Press * to get freelook and click on mouse to lock target and fire rocket.At least will be some kind of job.

    Possible problem - I don't have mouse on screen in my VET mod settings - so clicking in approx location of center of screen.

    May be remove red dots for ground targets - keep them white.We even got ticket here.

    Will be simulation absents of friend foe recognition system for ground units.

    For Future will be nice to have some kind of small radar/screen/panel with HEAT/FLIR view with possibility to lock targets by clicking on their marks.

    I really not understand guys who complained because we only talking about VETERAN settings for MP games.Current situation in game completely removed usage of armor units if attack aviation is included in map.Some people prefer tanks some air units.Currently impossible to use tanks in game.so someone enjoy game someone not.

    No complain if will be same in real life.But real life to kill tank with guided rocket is not simple order.Is real art and rocket launcher is not working like machine gun.

    Also will be nice remove ground vehicles from radar and add FLIR or HEAT view to detect targets to lock them manually.

    Yes, for AH-1, Ka-50/2, Hind etc, TAB locking is indeed wrong.

    But, the Longbow system (so relevant to the Apache in this case) works by detecting (up to 128), classifying and then organising according to threat the .

    no way that this chopper can detects ALL possible TARGETS AND FIRE same methods as in game.

    Every system has response time,Sensitivity and many other parameters.

    I understand you most players want some kind of cheating system like we have now but I'm try tell you that vet mod should be more realistic.


  6. If BIS will do it in realistic way also should be done many other things one of them there not TAB key in choppers nether Americans or Russians :) and no radar showing ground vehicles.rockets speed in game too fast and reloading time to quick.

    I wish will be veterans setting with no locking and no radar while killing tank is not such trivial as in game now.

    Kamov can be equip with 4 igla rockets and many other weapons which not in vanilla config.


  7. No you can't. You can kjoin the server buit playing as client on a remote A.I. capped server is not playable. A2 is even worse in that case. Beeign able to join a swrver does not mean it runs a playable mission.

    50% of CTI and DOmi severs are unplayable, but I know that does not keep people von staying logged in...for a reason I can't understand.

    Sorry dont really understand what problem with ai :)

    There is a PR and AAS maps where no ais :) also valhala charly foxtrot and rolling thunder :)

    CRCTI and warfare maps are really playable but tab to lock killed using armor

    units in game so I'm just hope bis will fix this one day.
