Dual Tri Monitors
-Sn1PeR- replied to sarcasticpcgamer's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - PRE ORDER BETA
? I was trying to help. This thread helped me set up the FOV -- it will help your stretching issue. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=2033777 Specifically this part: "You need to go into the YOUR NAME.TakeOnHProfile and search for triplehead=0 and change it to triplehead=1. Then find fovTop= and set it to 0.55, followed by setting fovLeft= to 3." -
It really depends on what kind of stick you are using. I use a Saitek X52 Pro and in order to map some of the buttons I need to use the SST software. I would recommend checking out your joystick mapping software and creating a profile specifically for this game -- mapping the switches, buttons, etc. to their respective default keyboard combinations.

Dual Tri Monitors

Are you actually running an eyefinity group (where windows sees one monitor at a 5760x1080 or the like resolution), or are you running three monitors seen as three separate extended monitors in windows? I have a feeling it's the latter. You need to setup an eyefinity group or look into a SoftTH setup. I'm running the Steam version at 6048x1080 (bezel corrected eyefinity) fullscreen just fine after some basic FOV tweaks. -

Can't fly in a straight line (auto trim off.).

I was curious, but I get the point. I think I'm done here. -

How are you suggesting they provide analog control with two buttons? They could add bands (ie. 10% step sizes, etc.), but that still would not be sufficient for perfect trim. -

Isn't that why auto trim exists in the first place? You are asking to emulate a very nuanced analog control with on/off switches. I personally would rather them do exactly what they are attempting to -- give various difficulties to toggle on/off flight-aids rather than dumbing down the game so that it's flyable with a keyboard. -
Yeah I saw it in TKOH. You can also close the ctrl+h HUD and see an analog bar on the top left indicating throttle position. I'm trying to get something similar (or even a numerical value) in Arma 2 in an attempt to verify that I have the same full range of control that I do in TKOH.
-
Is there any way to visually show throttle % in Arma 2 CO? I'm trying to play with my sensitivity to find the sweetspot (allow full throttle range) in arma 2 and think it would be easier if I could see what value the game itself is reading. Did the code recently change? Analogue throttle seems to be working better than it has in the past.

TKOH Mission for all to try
-Sn1PeR- replied to PELHAM's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - COMMUNITY PREVIEW
The betav1 version of the map runs fine in regular Arma 2: CO. I do have the steam version of the game -- running the latest beta OA build 82604 and TKOH build 82767. -
TKOH Mission for all to try

What's the proper way to install this? I dropped it in my arma 2 operation arrowhead\Missions folder and it's saying I can't play because it "depends on downloadable content that has been deleted". I'm launching TOH through the executable that it linked on my desktop. I do own Arma 2, OA, and all DLC. Any tips? -
I'm so happy they fixed analog throttles! I'm using a X52 Pro with pedals and it worked great right out of the box. (set analog thrust/brake to back/forward on the throttle) Is this going to be rolled into Arma 2 soon to fix analog throttles for helicopters?
