    In my opinion only one acceptable solution is to give unsatified players/mod users/server hosters ability to disable new lighting.

     

    Personally i have 4 dedicated servers called "[PL] artur_PL.....- two of them with CUP terrains and other maps like Alrayak, Bornholm, Chernarus,

    Podagorsk, MSKE 4Islands, Clafghan, Isola di Capraia, Australia, Iron Front for A3 etc etc etc

     

    I played arma since first release so about 2006r  and host various servers since 2010. Also played Operation Flashpoint since first release about 2001r.

    I never complained about A3 but this time is too much for me.... about - 95% used mods and prepared misssions will be unuseful for me.

    (Altis, Stratis & Tanoa is about 5% of A3 for me...)

     

    I think that it will be so hard to replace textures and modificate lighting i the current mods used since years.

     

    So  - only one proper solution is to give opportunity to disable new lighting or in case technical troubles give posibillity to correct new lighting instead

    "ON" / "OFF" switch. (but "ON" / "OFF" new lighting switch in my opinion will be the best solution.)

     

    It is so sad  - but since few days im desperated and thinking about never more play Arma3...

     

    Developers of A3 - thanks in advance for giving us an option to disable new lighting!!!

  2. Catastrophic effects after Arma3 update 1.60!

    On the map Chernarus terrain looks like scrambled eggs on the ground.

    Almost white-grey sky, white sandbags, white tent instead of grey, white-green comouflage on the,

    power generator, almost white helicopters, and scrambled eggs on the ground

    - no matter how I try to configure graphic options - BIG FAILURE!

    Terrain, buildings, vehicles, characters, camouflages etc. looks terrible!

    They should give us an option to disable all new graphic effects!

  3. You paid for the original game, every update has been free gratis, you're not getting short changed, the original release was bugged to hell, and has come a long way visually and content wise, would you pay for these updates, or keep expecting them to make the game better for free ?

    I dont want such free updates which can destroy all the current visual effects and forced me to look at the new terrible light effects like "plastic" walls and buildigs on the Stratis and Alitis, plastic weapons, unreal camouflages etc etc

    This ligting update was compeltely unnecesary!

    You obviously have no idea how the game works. It never is a simple case of "adding the on/off switch" if even possible at all (most likely not).

     

    Also you payed for the GAME and the content it has. You can't expect that the money you spent on the official content you don't use entitles you to getting any official support for UNOFFICIAL content you wish to use.

     

    I know - but Im don't intersted in how the game works. Only one I want to have - to have a choice to do or not such dramatic and unnecessary updates! Also in case when im playing official content! Don't want t be forced tu use unnecesary updates!

    Why they didnt give me a choice to install or not such update?!


  5. Dude you need to figure out that it is not ARMA 3 devs job to fix PORTED maps. Go to CUP Terrains thread and tell them what is wrong with map and hopefully they will fix it. 

    I know

    But you are wrong - i payed for the game and I want to to have second option - compeltely disable unused features!

    So why the checkbox or drop down list "Disable new lighting" or something like this is not available?!

    Why I'm forced to use new completely unuseful for me features?

  7. Hi Tophe, is there any chance to return to previous model of console logfiles naming? (as far as I remember that was before ARMA3)

    In my humble opinion It will be better if logfiles will be named with for example : (date + time) stamp

    Now I’m a little confused when log file was created if in my game profile (TADST) are a lot of logfiles

    named with random digits. for example;

    logfile_console_4144.log

    logfile_console_4172.log

    It is crucial when I’m trying to find in logs when hacker was on the server

    or when something else happen on the server.

    Maybe it will be also better to separate chat + console logs?

    I'm also very interested in opinion of other users - so please reply to my post

    about logging in TADST.

    I'm also interested in how others searching logs to find hackers?

    (which phrase exactly is necessary to find hacker which destroyed server)

    Can anybody point me to the place where I can find

    Domination for ARMA3 for other maps like: Capraia, Thirsk, Podagorsk, Fallujah, Everon, Clafghan (except Altis, Stratis, Chernarus)

    Altis is so empty, repeatable and ordinary for me (the same like Takistan) and after 2 months of playing

    Im a little bored with Altis terrain - that why Im searching for new Domi on the new map for A3

    I'm still searching through multiplayer server list but cannot find any new Domi for A3 :(

    Ho wto ban whole IP address classes in the bans.txt? (i use TADST tool to launch server and bans.txt is located in the

    C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\TA2DST\CHE-A2 <<< which is the folder of the one of the server profiles

    I now how to ban single ip address - but dont know how to ban whole network classes.

    Can anybody help me?

    i checker such entries for example:

    192.168.0.0

    192.168.0.

    192.168.0

    but it doesn't works

    here ie a sample from my bans.txt file located in the profile of the server folder from TADST tool:

    I have the problem with Domination editing - this domination have implemented

    unuseful feature - all default vehicles (xvec1, xvec2, etc.etc ) from Domi respawn at base after about 8min or about 20min

    I compared a lot of files from this Domi with another Domi files but cannot find where is the problem.

    This behavior (respawn after few minutes) was implemented also for choppers but i found

    in d_init.sqf file where is the problem and succesfully disabled this feture for ch1, ch2, etc. etc.

    case (__OAVer): {

    [[ch1,301,true],[ch2,302,true].....

    Unforunately for xvec1, xvec2... there are no parameters responsible for xvec... respawn after few minutes.

    Can anybody help me to disable this unnecessary feature for xvec... from my Domi?

    I have "default" mission - co40_Domination_2_11A2_West_AI.Chernarus.pbo

    and want to add some vehicles.

    I added 1x Apache this way :

    1)co40_Domination_2_11A2_West_AI.Chernarus.pbo - unpacked

    and copied to : C:\Documents and Settings\artur\Moje dokumenty\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\artur-PL\missions\

    2)script : vehicles.sqf (from -SimpleVehicleRespawn_v1.7) copied to directory :

    C:\Documents and Settings\artur\Moje dokumenty\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\artur-PL\missions\co40_Domination_2_11A2_West_AI.Chernarus

    3)mission loaded into editor, one Apache added,

    veh = [this] execVM "vehicle.sqf" in the line called "init"

    4)Mission saved with the same name: co40_Domination_2_11A2_West_AI.Chernarus

    5)Mission exported to PBO multiplayer to location :

    C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\MPMissions\co40_Domination_2_11A2_West_AI.Chernarus.pbo

    6)co40_Domination_2_11A2_West_AI.Chernarus.pbo copied to my dedicated server, server launched with this mission

    7)in the window mode arma 2 started on desktop, connected, roles assigned, mossion read, mission started

    8)Apache destroyed with SMAW, or shooted down by enemies but nothing has happen - Apache NOT RESPAWNED

    What can i do? Where is the problem ?

    Please advice

    My ARMA 2 version : 1.08.74450
