    AMD platforms unplayable

    I have 5870 with i7 win7\x64 average about 30-40 fps on mostly normal settings. Game is very playable sounds like you might need to do some optimizing. Oh and it's a laptop forgot to mention that.

    Backpacks

    It's against the Geneva Convention to wear your enemies uniform, Stealing his backpack is allowed as long as you don't wear it. You lose all your protection if caught in your enemies uniform as you are considered a Spy and not a prisoner of war. Most likely resulting in your execution after your tortured of course.
  4. Yea sorry it goes in your short cut target line eg. "D:\Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2OA.exe" -nosplash -cpuCount=4 -exThreads=7 -connect=199.7.131.27 -port=2302 -mod=Expansion I should have mentioned that.
  5. For those that want to connect to your server they can use the -connect=<i.p. address> -port=2302 and if passworded add -password=xxxxxxx. I haven't changed anything on my server. But I was thinking of putting my i.p. in my sever i.d.\banner that shows up in the server list. People that want to connect can use the -connect command. PITA I know but it works.

  7. Yes you will need the password command if your server is passworded forgot to mention that. Thanks for pointing that out kklownboy.
  8. I use this command from my short cut. This works for me to connect to my server. This works from game start up so if you want to connect to a different server you must enter a different i.p. every time. Just make separate short cuts for each server you wish to connect to. It's a PITA but it works until a permanent solution ifs found. Does not work in game must restart using your short cut each time. Remote connect hasn't worked for me so it is what it is.
  9. -connect=<i.p.address> -port=2302 will connect you directly the the server if you know the I.P.addy. This goes in your target line. Leave out the brackets Cheers!:bounce3:
  10. Put this in your target line -connect=<i.p.address> -port=2302 leave out the brackets. You will connect directly to the server\host I.P. Hope that helps for those that want a workaround.

  14. @diesol, Thank you so very much that worked. I just assumed that variables was for calling in arty drops only so I never tried modifying it. You made my day my friend. I've spent so much time optimizing the mission I didn't want to add a script and an addon was out of the question. If your ever in So. California hit me up. I owe you a tall cold frosty beer.   15. I have a heavily modified version of Domination 2.71 DLC Takistan And Chernarus maps. I'm not new to editing but again I'm no expert either. I can't get the Artillery computer to work and I do not wish to add a script or worst run a Mod when the game already has it as a Module in the editor and it's in the Mission already just not working. I'm assuming that it has been coded so it no longer works for static weapons. I added the M252 in the call paradrop and removed the M119. Everything works like expected well almost just no arty computer. I've attempted several different edits with no luck and now I have a headache to boot. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. :butbut:

    Yes ASR_AI works with insurgency. Skill level is set in the user profile\server profile and in the perimeters recruit\regular\veteran....etc.

    Not sure but it looks like the TS3 Acre plugin-in is not loaded or turned on or maybe running the wrong version. You can edit the ratio of Blufor to Opfor so instead of 4 Blufor to 1 Opfor you can make it 1-1,2-1,4-1 or co-op.

    If your trying to add an additional squad you need to edit the common/client/variables.sqf . playerNames = ["","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","","",""]; add ,"" for every squad member you wish to create. Then you must add the the class names in the main defines sqf. #define westSoldierClasses ["US_Soldier_TL_EP1","US_Soldier_Medic_EP1","US_Soldier_LAT_EP1","US_Soldier_EP1","US_Soldier_GL_EP1","US_Delta_Force_AR_EP1","US_Delta_Force_Medic_EP1","US_Delta_Force_TL_EP1","US_Delta_Force_Assault_EP1","US_Delta_Force_EP1","BAF_Soldier_TL_DDPM","BAF_Soldier_DDPM","BAF_Soldier_Medic_DDPM","BAF_Soldier_GL_DDPM","BAF_Soldier_AR_DDPM","GER_Soldier_TL_EP1","GER_Soldier_Scout_EP1","GER_Soldier_EP1","GER_Soldier_Medic_EP1","GER_Soldier_MG_EP1","FR_TL","FR_R","FR_GL","FR_Sapper","FR_Corpsman","FR_Assault_GL","FR_Assault_R","CZ_Special_Forces_GL_DES_EP1","CZ_Special_Forces_MG_DES_EP1","CZ_Special_Forces_DES_EP1","CZ_Special_Forces_Scout_DES_EP1","CZ_Special_Forces_TL_DES_EP1","CZ_Soldier_SL_DES_EP1"] Then edit the mission.sqf to add the new squad to your mission.     @Bates If you don't edit the squad string then the AI won't react. Try going into town with the new squad members you created and see what happens.....Nothing no AI will spawn.

    common/defines.sqf reduce the vehicle defines and the vehicle string. remove all instances. eg. humv14 or atv11 from all files.

    If you have played on that server before you should still have a copy in your mp cache located in Appdata/local/Arma20A ---------- Post added at 09:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:48 PM ---------- Defines sqf. in the main file dir to add or remove weapons limitations etc. I've edited this myself sometime ago (squads) and added 10 man squads and so on.Make sure you add them to UPS to respawn on squad members.

    This is just a heads up for the insurgency Dev's. I noticed that you guy's added the add action remove injured player from vehicle if gunner or driver.I can understand why you would want add that but it needed a little bit of fixing. I had to laugh my ass of when I first got shot then ejected from the vehicle as driver only to die from the impact of hitting the asphalt. Takes care of needing a medic. Also if you try to load an injured player you get ejected unless the driver slot is taken along with the gunner then you can be added as cargo due to how it's handled. I'm not going to tell you guys how to write code but just look at it and you'll see what needs to be changed with throwing body's from vehicles and loading injured. I've already fixed my copy but just wanted to give a heads up. I'm liking the latest version it has everything from my own edits and more. Great job! Best mission in ArmA!     @B1n4ry If its just an issue of not respawning to a squad you must also add the new units to the UPS.sqf located in common/server/AI. Hope that helps with respawning but by the looks of it you should go back and reread the posts. Copy and paste is not the way to go. You will never learn where you made a mistake
