  1. Why they are setting such a low price € 24,99 is a little too cheap for game i mean i dunno why they dont want more money :D

look at prices of all AAA games... always its 49

Also i have a question, anyone know if these packages if these packages will be available on steam?

i mean... if we will be able to buy it directly from steam and not from a arma 3 site....

Why? cause i want to trade my Team fortress 2 keys to get arma 3

that actually scares me. is this going to end up being an inferior game? because i know two other hyped up games, hitman and tomb raider pre-order at lower than aaa quality prices and they turned out bad. hopefully bis is different breed and will not disppaoint.

  2. yes, i checked, it's just one face. also, the arm patch thing started showing up while i was messing around with the faces options. do you know how to make it go away short of deleting it? i think it's used for multiplayer. edit: i fixed it by just copy and pasting the arm patch from another working model.

  3. If a feature feels like it's not there 99 percent of the time, you really have to increase the likelihood of occurrence. That's all, really. Rare shrapnel injuries and deaths are kind of superfluous. I guess it's the kind of feature you'd like to see on the features list but will probably never experience. From a developer's standpoint, that's a bit iffy. Good luck to whoever wants to do it anyway.

  4. If you want to do shrapnel system, having 3 or 4 pieces is as good as having none. Trust me, it's not viable. Unless you want to make the shrapnel act like a huge wooden block that will kill every one standing next to you or right behind you, then the force field system works very similarly to that.

The chances of someone being affected by the 3 or 4 dangerous shrapnel that are flung out is less than one percent. in other words, not something worth implementing.

it's a good idea, but the proposed implementation needs work.

  5. Jachra, you joined this month, have 4 posts and I've not seen a single reference to your name or a similar name in all of OFP modding history.

I'm not attacking you, but I am wondering who are you exactly and what are your credentials. As I am forced now to believe you are one of these dreaded "ideas guy"

My reason for this is to determine whether this is a project I should put time in and see results, or something I should just ignore. Thank you.

  6. Would you prefer surviving it, and then waiting a few days and dying suddenly after a vomit fit? of course you' can't model radiation poisoning in a game.

besides, this mod is hardly realistic.

How thrilling!!!Even the bolt stays on Earth!!And what about the limitations of the bolts?

I think that's fairly obvious. You don't have an unlimited supply and you can't always set off every anomaly.

  7. i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong, but my goggles are still acting strangely. sometimes they show up correctly, sometimes they're milky white.

    correct:

    milky white:

i've copied down your rvmat exactly but i'm not sure what's going on.could you send me a copy of the goggles rvmat? i want to get rid of the whole "next-pass" business.

  8. Half the community sneers at the game without those improvements.

Everything under the sun is in popular demand. Go look at all the ridiculous feature requests on devheaven. How are they supposed to sort through all that?

Don't underestimate ACE's capability to demonstrate what features are truly popular, not to mention possible. It's like a giant testbed for new features.

BIS will always do it their way (and thank god that ACE grenade system is gone), but wildly popular mods are crystal clear indications of what the community wants and what pays off.

The Ace situation is an abortion. Until BI fixes the way multiplayer mod compatibility works, Ace is more of an inconvenience then an asset.
