  1. They said they concentrated mostly on streamlining it. So I expect better default config values (increased engagement ranges mostly), and less 'AI running around looking confused while trying to do 12 things at once', but overall similar behaviour as in ArmA2.

    yeah they said the ai is still pretty stupid which is sad.


  2. I hope! The hopping-out always weirded me out, no door anim. etc.

    i may be going over the top, but i honestly would prefer if the game had only 5 vehicles total and they all behaved realistically with proper animations for doors and human interactions rtaher than 30 vehicles and they all had generic or no animations


  3. I've been looking for shipwrecks in google earth off the coast of stratis but can't see anything note worthy.

    I remember the #IonInvolved tag on Twitter, this has something to do with Ion.

    lol shipwrecks off the coast will be underwater so you can't see in on google earth anyway


  4. I hope they do make a arma 3 free for those who don't have money ejaculating out of their pockets

    if you don't have 30 bucks to spare, then you either need to stop sitting around browsing the internet and go get a job asap, or alternatively stop buying crappy games and save it up for masterworks like arma 3.

    i'm against the f2p trend all the way. that's for games with very little depth and on the verge of dying.

  7. I can confirm Arma2 character models WILL work in Arma3. They only need some slight modifications, like renaming of selections, transfering memorypoints, distributing new proxies and copypasting new bare skin hands if present. Nothing too difficult. Arma2 heads will not transfer, as the facial skeleton is completely different.

    will also release publicly an arm3 quality example model? maybe the soldier and his wife so we can use female and male skeletons to expedite female creation process. thank you


  8. i've already heard of praise on the performance optimizations from several non-hypy relatively objective sources so i don't even worry about how my hardware will fare. i am betting it'll run a hell of a lot better than arma 2 due to proper multi core support this time around. and better understanding of new technology, model detail, lods, etc. arma 2's models were really poorly optimized, you can tell the new models are well balanced. no more super high polygon boot or amateur things like that.
