Thanks, I looked around for them and they look nice. There is a unique look I'm going for, which I'll try to produce an illustration of using the sample Russian soldier from BIS. -
The helmet looks like it's sitting a bit too far forward on the head, or perhaps tilted too far down in the front.

Not exactly the right engine for it. Something like Chernarus life would have to model complex social interactions, while physical simulation will have to take a backseat due to limited hardware.

Gotta love people who aren't imaginative enough to realize there are a lot more variables then "reasonable competency" at play here. The game doesn't run well for a lot of people using high end systems. It's easy to dismiss them as "morons" if you're the kind of person who thinks running Arma 2 on a p4 is fine enough. Some of us have standards. -

You want me to believe a laptop can run this game at very high with no lag. Right. -
before they send out new dlcs they really need to improve the skeleton/animations and a lot of the gameplay mechanics. i just can't see drug lords getting out of vehicles all wonky like then doing 5 circles around the car before coming to and going wherever the script or waypoint takes him. these things need to be improved first.

Actually, yes. Do you not think there is any distinction between the regular infantry guy who joined so the government can pay for his tuition and the guy who joined because he actually wanted to be in the military and fought his way to become Tier 1?

protip:when you find reference pictures of either worn out and clean equipment, always use the clean one in the absence of an intermediate. -
if they can just get rid of these loathsome domination and evolution servers and bring back coop scenario, that'd be enough.

I have done that already. it's not working. edit: I tried the official BIS sample models and they work fine. Also, is there any way to move vertices around without using that cumbersome decimal system?

it's not arma's visual style, it's called the plastic style which a lot of games have because they overdue to the shine to appeal to the kiddies. and military vehicles tend to have "bland" finishes otherwise enemies spot it from miles away glowing like a beacon. i prefer the style where it looks as close to its real life counterpart as possible.

No. The community already provides the necessary help. The only trouble is probably finding where everything is located. That's where google comes in. -
It kind of breaks immersion when you realize you're piloting a state of the art helicopter and you have no legs, arms or torso.

cell shading has nothing to do with grey appearance. you probably mean post processing which has the tendency to dull the colors. -

I don't think this as been done yet in any of the Arma games, but I remember back in the OFP days when people made a lot of late 80s-90s Russian gear for resistance. I want something that looks along these lines. Hi, I get this error message "Cannot load texture soldier_p3d\data\us_soldieracu.co.paa." when I try to look at this model in buldozer. I disabled the modelconfig.cfg so it's not that. Also, Texview2 freezes when I try to browse to the file location so I have to drag and drop the textures files into the window.

i've often had to shoot people twice in the head with a larger caliber sniper rifle to kill them. i know this because the first shot is dead on the money with blood decal and splatter apparent on the face. -
