    I set my hideouts at 75% as per recommendation by alky-lee, and I haven't come upon a single hideout yet, even though I have travelled all over the place from the top of the map to the bottom and back again, all through the jungle. Too many on Malden, too few here. Hmmm. But I haven't needed any hideouts, so it's no biggie. At an abandoned vehicle location, I found a pile of mainly destroyed NATO, civilian, and AAF vehicles all within 50 m of each other, including Sandstorm MLRS, two hunters, an offroad Jeep, a Strider, civvy fuel truck, HEMTT Box truck, and maybe more. ??? Only one was salvageable. All I needed was one, so it's ok.

    This port is GREAT so far. Started in pitch black, but right before dawn. Sprained my ankle tumbling into a mostly dry riverbed in the dark. Had to use my one medipak to tape my ankle. So no medipak when attacking a CSAT patrol in twilight with my Rook pistol. Playing on Very Hard difficulty, no map, no compass, no watch. Awesome. God only knows how I am going to find my boat at the end of the mission. Cambodia is simply a fantastic map. I do think that only CSAT Pacific OPFOR should be used, as the brownish regular CSAT uniforms are too easy to spot in the jungle. Given that it's in Cambodia, the Chinese-speaking OPFOR would be perfect.

    Cambodia looks cool. I had a T-100 (from a stronghold where I also rescued a captive) and an RHS T-72 last time I played Pilgrimage on Bornholm! Very good idea to limit hideouts on small islands at outset!!!!!!! I'll do that in the future.

Here's some good info on the various tank rounds from the US manufacturer! https://www.orbitalatk.com/defense-systems/armament-systems/120mm/ Using RHS tanks + RAM mod, MPAT rounds are much more effective against vanilla tanks and IFV at ranges >1 km than APFSDS. Same may also be true against RHS targets. But overall, I agree that APFSDS rounds should be loaded by default, as most engagements, especially the most dangerous and time-sensitive ones, will be at ranges < 1 km.

    ^^ Yes, I remember that fix. Seems like that issue could be related to what I'm seeing now on main branch. Edit: BUT...I don't see that fix in 1.72 or hotfix changelogs. Did that fix ever make it to stable branch? Ticket: https://feedback.bistudio.com/T126245
  8. Since 1.72 on main branch, as squad leader in a vehicle, I have been seeing this odd thing quite often lately, no mods loaded. After selecting all crew members, or just the driver, when I point to somewhere on the terrain and select "Move to," I hear the voice command "Move to grid 000000." AI driver doesn't know what to do, and the command often repeats, even after I order driver to stop. Feels like it's in some code loop. This can easily be duplicated in editor. Place vehicle with player as commander and start mission. Click on a point on terrain, or on map, and select "Move to." Once crew is ordered to disembark, and then to get back in, the problem doesn't occur any longer, I think. The issue may only occur when mission (in editor or from a savegame) is started with player in a vehicle as squad leader. If someone else can duplicate this, I'll make a ticket.

    I don't remember having the issue until recently. I repro'd it several times in a row today in editor (Stratis and VR). All tests took place in a Cheetah AA vehicle. Yesterday I saw the issue when in a Tigris while playing a Pilgrimage mission.

    Do you prefer Vanilla AI?

    Vanilla AI = Arma III. Modded AI != Arma III, and can create problems with missions and other mods. I play Arma III (SP only, 1236 hours), and have never used an AI mod. Same goes for Arma II. If vanilla AI sucked so bad, I wouldn't play Arma at all. While not perfect, gameplay with vanilla AI is very satisfying for me. Even AI driving has improved a lot. Flipping ("cardboard") tanks is more of a problem for me than AI.

    Great! Is the Dingor version ported directly from official Lingor 1.95 beta 1 version? Looks like it is. Never mind. The intro with man standing on dock didn't play for Malden version. Mission started at the briefing screen with map (with boat location marked). Also, # and placement of hideouts needs to be tweaked for Malden, as there are now too many, and often they occur very close to one another, sometimes as close as <100m. But I'm having fun anyway! :-)
  12. Have you tried the A2CO official scenarios and DLC scenarios and campaigns (e.g. BAF). I loved 'em. Some of the scenarios have been ported to A3 this year. For example, see Village Sweep mission in my signature, and those by @SHJ-Studio .
  13. Yep, the AGM-114K + laser on the AH-6 work perfectly for human gunner, but is there a way human pilot can order AI gunner to lase, fire, and hit targets with the AGM? I have not figured that out. Since human gunner can aim laser and fire/guide missile himself, you'd think that AI gunner could as well... But I guess the AI can only laze target or fire missile, not both (?).
  14. ^^ Word. A2CO scenarios and DLC >>>>>>>>>>> A3 showcases and DLC. The whole paradigm of showcases + challenges should be utterly abandoned and replaced with badass official scenarios as in the past. What sold me on the Arma franchise was the A2CO scenarios and DLC scenarios and campaigns. Every DLC had a memorable mini-campaign! Sad to see that go. It's been downhill ever since in terms of official SP content, even though East Wind was great overall. What I would have liked to see for Jets DLC is four combat Showcases scenarios, one for each new jet, instead of just one overall. Even more awesome would be if they were presented as a mini-campaign with tie-ins to East Wind and Apex Protocol. With more missions, hype would increase, BI could charge more, and I would pay. Didn't happen, but there's my wishful 2 cents. What about a stealth mission where CTRG operator(s) must infiltrate CSAT base at night, steal a Shikra, and then use it to find and stop a convoy taking Doomsday device to a port to get it safely off-island before NATO grabs it. Then he must land the Shikra on US carrier, providing a coup for NATO military Intelligence! Ha!

    I just saw this post, and have started the Tanoa version. Does anyone know of any major issues with this (older) version that would adversely affect gameplay? IMO, I think that two of the ideas shown here are excellent, and worth adding to official Pilgrimage versions in the future, if any: The corpse has a UAV terminal.* Perhaps buy loot from civilians. * This idea is important, as the (dead) brother would logically have a UAV terminal to control the ______, since he went to location specifically to get the _____ that his father hid. In 5-6 playthroughs of official pilgrimage, I have never come across a BLUFOR terminal. If the brother doesn't have a terminal, there should be a non-random way to get hold of one, such as a special stash (location of which is given in email from brother, or a note left by brother), or ??? --- Edit: I finished the Tanoa mission, and having the terminal makes for a very dynamic, wild ending with more choices to be made (assuming that the ____ is still functional and nearby)!

    You can resume the Maxwell option right under Blackfoot Down. If that gives you a problem, you can try Revert instead, and it will restart that Maxwell hub mission.
  17. Using 1.72, custom lines drawn on map with Lctrl+Lmouse are not saved. Is this normal? I could have sworn they were saved before. IMO they should be saved along with other placed map markers. Start mission, draw lines on map, save game. Reload save. Lines are gone.

    Resume the Maxwell hub mission and other options will appear, such as scouting/side missions, and another main mission. I think Death Valley mission is next. Get ready!

    Bornholm, Denmark [Terrain]

    I've been playing with Bornholm 1.6 in Pilgrimage mission, and am loving the map! It's winning of MANW is well-deserved. However, IMO the little signs asking for PayPal donations detract from immersion and should be removed. Payment was already received via MANW, I assume. Also, as someone mentioned above, there are no footstep sounds on asphalt roads, perhaps due to A3 updates since Bornholm release.

    Where is the best place to get detailed info on the various weapons carried by the new jets, and all aircraft for that matter? I couldn't immediately find such info in field manual. In the Jets showcase, the Black Wasp apparently carries two types of AA missiles (?). What are their capabilities? BIM 9X AA ? AMRAAM D AA ?
