Backward compatibility has been mentioned as important, but Arma 2 and 3 all had FOUR difficulty presets, Recruit, Regular, Veteran, and Elite. What was the rationale for combining Veteran and Elite into one preset? Why not have 4 presets + Custom instead of 3 + Custom? Wouldn't having 4 presets ensure even great backwards compatibility, especially for SP? I play on (old) Veteran 95% of the time (with crosshair disabled), and really liked the differences between Vet and Elite, so eliminating Veteran and replacing it with Elite seems pointless and an unnecessary complication. I've always seen Veteran as a preset where all helpers are removed by default, enemy AI skill is at EXPERT, but you can still enable/disable crosshairs, some HUD elements, or third-person view if you want. Elite is where ALL helpers, HUD elements, and 3rd person are gone, period. I think that the weapon resting indicator should be preserved in all presets*, and perhaps the stamina bar also. They could always be turned off for Custom. * Only because there is no way in game to determine if a weapon is rested (not deployed) other than the indicator. IRL one could tell when the weapon is rested.

I'm using A2 and OA Steam betas. It is strange I've never noticed this before: If B is pressed for a standing civilian unit with binoculars equipped, and then X is pressed to make the unit crouch, the unit will always go prone instead. If B is pressed for a prone civilian unit with binoculars equipped, and then X is pressed to make the unit crouch, nothing happens. Bottom line: there is no way a civilian unit can crouch and use binoculars. Has it always been this way? -
This problem was driving me crazy for a couple of days. The fix today solved it for newly-placed vehicles, but cursory testing suggests that the problem occurs for all vehicles placed in pre-Eden missions. For such old missions, crews appear outside of vehicles. Is anyone else seeing this for pre-Eden missions? Edit: To clarify, it appears as if the conversion of old missions from pre-Eden to Eden format results in the crews of vehicles being outside of the vehicles in Eden editor.

Just saw this today: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/arma-3-free-updates-and-editor-announced-as-sales-/1100-6431407/?utm_source=daily_updates_registered&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Arma+3 Apex? Co-op campaign? First I have heard of Apex as the name of the Tanoa expansion. Perhaps I've missed some SITREP... Will campaign also be playable in SP?

Thank you for handling corepatch! It's too bad that goliath and Schatten have left. I agree with you and would choose option 3, since thermal was a BI design decision. Did the weapon have zeroing IRL? Most BI weapons with thermal scopes don't allow zeroing if I remember correctly. -

^ ^ Good to know. I tried the beta branch a while back, and nothing would download, but it works now. Vasily.B mentioned his desire for the "best optimized" corepatch, so perhaps the stable branch version can be considered more stable, tested, and optimized compared to beta...

^ ^ AFAIK, you want "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs," which will give you the most up-to-date stable branch (including current corepatch dated Dec. 30, 2015). I'm not sure what "legacy" branch is; perhaps it is an older version of 1.63 + corepatch from before the time when corepatch went to stable branch. For that matter, I'm not sure what the "Beta" branch is, either. You could try switching from NONE to legacy to beta and comparing the "date modified" of corepatch.pbo.

Will this mod ever progress beyond version 0.1.1? The low version number doesn't inspire confidence or a sense of importance. If many people were using and testing it, you'd think that more revisions would be released. It seems to work, but I can barely tell the difference... Some vids showing with vs. without would be cool.

Could corepatch devs try removing Module Improvement Project and see if that solves Amb. Civ. Vehicle problem? I had never heard of that project before now. Or we can ask zGuba to look at it.....(I don't "know" the other guy)

I have experienced exactly the same thing, and reported it earlier. Ambient civ vehicles appears to be completely broken, at least in Takistan.

CWR2 1.02a is designed for complete mission compatibility, so if any mission problems are found (doubtful), then it is likely that CWR2 will be updated to fix them.
