  1. Hi, I had the same problem with freezing game. But i solved it this day! It was caused by graphic card fan speed! I have Nvidia G-Force GTS250 and i had set dynamic fan speed. When i started playing Arma, graphic card automatickly boost fan rotation and game froze. So I set only 35% of fan rotation (speed) and now i can play the game without any freezing! Try it, it may also help you. It helped me.:bounce3:

    Excuse my English.

I am using Geforce 8800 GT, dont think there is an option for me to set fan speed

Is it laptop computer? If so, than you probably have overheating issue. Laptops reduce power automatically in case of high temperature.

Its a desk top computer...abit old

    Dwarden never sleeps^^

Check your pc for dust, it can block the air and your pc will overheat, resulting in crashes.

Just cleaned the air inlet too but not really helping

  3. Hi,

I have been a fan of the Operation Flashpoint and ARMA game and I quite enjoyed this latest edition, the only thing that is bothering me is that the game freezes and the audio also freezes when I play but this does not occur all the time like maybe 3 out of 5 games will do so and usually within 15 mins of playing. The freezing up is so bad that I have to manually restart the PC as alt + ctrl + delete does not work at all. Sometimes strange artifacts appear on screen as it freezes otherwise in other times it just simply freeze up.

Can someone tell me what is going on and how do I fix it?

My computer spec is a CORE2DUO 2.4ghz, 4 gig Kingston RAM, Geforce 8800 GT graphics card and a 250 gig WD HDD.
