  1. You know what they say,

Sometimes its a good time to tell jokes, while at other times, It is not a good time. And when people get offended, You will make yourself look better if you just say sorry and move on instead of insulting them even further.

Or could it be that Rye's comment was another joke just like yours? And if it was, look at how you get offended.

Did you even read my text in the parenthesis?

Whats funny about that most is that the Liberals of Aus are the right wing option.(And yes they are capable of sticking they're head in the proverbial to) And we pride ourselves on having an Apolitical military. So your political bent is irrelevant as long you point the gun in the right direction

No not all that seriously, just a quick off the cuff example. Point is it can't be done and maybe after all these years of playing OFP,A1,A2 I'd be gratefull for the option.

? Who said anything about our military's? I happen to like you guys in AUS. In fact the soldiers I met while on active duty on deployment were stand up guys. None of them even think like you......

  2. As an actual Mac owner, I can speak from experience that a Mac works great for playing Arma or Arma 2. Yes, I initially paid more for it, but it has lasted longer than any PC I have ever owned before (and thats been quite a lot). To really burst a few bubbles, its a second gen Mac Book Pro (2008) with a core 2 duo @2.33 GHZ w/ 3gb RAM. Not a fancy gaming rig by any standards, but definitely a STABLE rig. It wouldn't surprise me to see someone running A3 on a newer MBP when it becomes available.

People also need to realize that Mac's don't need all the power a PC needs to run complex operations. Having a 512MB ATi M6770 is like having a desktop HD5800 series. I run an HD4890 1GB with an AMD Phenom II X4 2.8GHz on my rig and I can max out. The new MBP's come with i7 3.2GHz cores.

  3. Congratulations, you are the 1,000th poster of a sexist comment./QUOTE]

I have never raised a hand to my wife or my children.

Crawl back into your politically correct Liberal hole and suck your thumb while you sit Indian style and rock in the corner. Grow some thicker skin and learn to take a joke once in a while.

Your prize is already here.....took me 6 minutes to make it for ya :yay:

Yes I'm sure even in AUS they have 'em there too..........

  4. How about a good sci-fi scenario : Israel declaring preventive war on Iran, and things go wrong and we end up on our knees fighting to save our arse in a f****d up Greece at the mercy of China...

Oh wait... Damn you BIS, I blame you for the current situation !

That's not Sc-Fi, that's more a prediction based on current events. None the less I like the idea of the IDF going at it with the Red Army an the Iranians.

  5. Here's an idea that came out of a discussion about Mac based ARMA3 possibilities THAT I blurted out, second paragraph.

I know that a Mac can run Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 maxed out now (yes actual Mac versions). They have dedicted Mobility Radeon graphics and i7 processors now. All BI Studios needs to do is develop an X-Code port for Snow Loepard. I to so desperatley want to make the jump into virus free paradise as well. In fact I am getting a new iPhone 4S very soon with the Magpul case! Then I'm getting my 15" MBPro.

It would be so damn cool to use an iMac 27" LED Cinema display in triplicate. Just imagine an APP for the iTouch and iPhone that allows you to link your portable device to simulate BORS or the Ballistic calculator the CheyTAC M200 LRSS uses instead of PU and PD. The possibilities would be endless and not limited to sniper missions. You could actually use your iPhone or iTouch as your RADIO system for using different channles, boosting gain, squelch, simulate freqency problems and what not. All's ya bee need'n is someheadphones with a mic. I hope this game is 3D too!

I think I will call the APP 'iPRC 4S'.

  6. The best anti-cheat system is 'PERMABAN', LOL. In all seriousness they should have a network server database. Meaning if one server bans a player for cheating the other server owners who participate would get a notice as a newsletter or some other means and then they can choose to ban that person as well with the click of a button or set to auto-permaban. Ban by IP, CD-Key, ect. I guarantee we'll get ridd of cheaters really fast. In lesser cases i.e. glitching, being a complete noob, they can simply TEMPBAN them. However TEMBANS will not be forwarded via the database. I call it 'Squawk Net'.

B.I. feel free to do this! =o)

  8. Before the flame throwers hit me, I know this thread is old. I used the 'search function and here is where I landed. I read the post above as well.

My thing that I want to do is just like in Operation Jackal (A2:CO). I want to start the mission already in freefall. Well actually myself and my team of seven other SEAL's.

I have seen the tutorials on YouTube however A2:CO tells me that the HALO.sqm doesn't exist but yet it's there?

    Thanks

    :bounce3:

  10. Sickboy:

I tried to PM you but you're not taking any =o).

    Anyways,

Hey guys, just a quick question on installing.

I had v1.7 unpacked it and installed it. Then I restarted the game as it told me to after enabling it. Then my game would not start because of it.

On this one, I have extracted it staright to the game location (@ACE). Is that all I have have to do?

I did this with CBA and it worked fine. I'm just scared to try it again with this ACE v1.8.

My version is A2:CO dedicated DVD-ROM
