  1. So in this case, I'll assume this script is not dedicated server compatible? I used this for one of my Arma 3 mission (not yet released) and the desync was pretty bad. Comrades in Arms played it and report to me some people were having FPS rates to the single digit range. I'm wondering is this dedicated server compatible or am I having other issues? I might try to remove the script to start off as a start.

    They're alive since the start of the mission. I executed this on my init.sqf . The picture I posted on the thread is what my issue would be. The soldiers that I am and my team AIs are do not have the custom uniform skin while the AI team that I am not have it.

    TMR Modular Realism

    Hey Tao, I'm having an issue with TMR relating to my mission. I use to be able to use to this addPrimaryWeaponItem "muzzle_snds_H"; for Katibas, now it doesn't work with TMR. I can only use that on MX rifles now. Or... on second thought, I found the classnames, I'll just make, another parameter on my mission....

    BUG FOUND: Remove your attachments, try to drag and drop it to your gun, that won't work. Right click it from your inventory and it'll get drop to the ground, now right click it from the ground and it'll attach to your gun, its pretty inconvenient, but I use to be able to drag and drop it... http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=15275

  9. I have the same issue here. Order is the same. Primary ammo -> primary weapon -> pistol ammo -> pistol weapon.

    Do keep the group respawn version. If you do make a revive version however, at least keep a version with group respawn. It's rare to find some group/side respawn missions on Arma 3 nowadays. It'd be nice to have some more of them. Revive removes the challenge since it enables you to take vital shots and be downed awaiting partners for you to help you back up. Timer up and then you respawn to base enabling a more rambo-like way of playing knowing that you don't die forever.

    A really good reason to keep ARMA 2 :P CWR2. One of the big mods that have a lot of heart and effort put into it with hundreds of missions to plays and lots of goodies to toy around with. I see the new patch now have blinding sunlight so now the sun can be used as a tactical advantage or disadvantage to attack while not facing the sun or facing the sun. I have yet to check out what more is to be offer later.

  14. Well of course BIS didn't make Dragon Rising's system, but how about ARMA 2's first aid module?

Although OFP DR may be inferior compared to the ARMA 2 and doesn't live up to the OFP name, you got to admit the way their first aid kit (field dressing) system is much more superior than ARMA 3 first aid kits which take about 3 seconds to change your setDamage from x > 0.25 to x = 0.25 damage (75% health) while Dragon Rising field dressing takes quite a while to use to which it only stops the bleeding and then you'll need an actual medic to heal you. Basically, Dragon Rising medical system > ARMA 3 medical system. Why swap a better medical system for a more inferior one is my question. If you don't like the old one, don't use the First Aid Module, it was optional anyways. I rather see it around when it was once there and it works. Of course not everyone is forced to use it since it was a module and modules are optional.
  16. Only with revive scripts you can drag/carry wounded teammates (too bad you can't die from headshots with that). Unfortunately, there is no First Aid Module in ARMA 3.

    Not everyone is a hardcore elitist milsim player just because they disagree on subpar medical system, too much weight limit, and other such. We're not going to game the game, but play the game. I have played with CiA many times and its not some ultra hardcore milsim elitism of "YES SERGEANT!!" kind of roleplay stuff. It's the fact that ARMA has always been pretty hardcore and realistic as such and each role has their own role. Say a medic heal, machinegunner can supress, and what not. It doesn't render a role useless. Now say with the ultra loadouts, everyone is rambo now, no one needs an ammo bearer anymore and it lowers the teamwork value. Telling someone to not do this or that just because its "cheating" is ridiculous. Its only logical to take advantage of what you have and psychologically the way a person would think. Revive = you don't die. Drag body is great. The feeling of pulling your comrade out of danger as firefights happen here and there is a great experience. You can feel it in ARMA 2 but not 3, it doesn't have that feel. First Aid Module, if you were shot to the head, you're dead... that's not revive. With revives, you get shot to the head, you can be ressurrect, that's the difference. Don't overexaggerate the 95% fail revive 5% successful revive thing. Say you're unconcious and bleeding if this was ACE, patchh them up, stop the bleeding, ease the pain. Why are you so against the First Aid Module. It's a module so its optional anways. You don't have to enable it if you don't want to. The First Aid Module was a better system than the current system, so why remove something that works. It was there in the past, so why is it cut now I question you.

    If you cannot make a constructive post about the topic, then leave. You don't need to waste a bunch of lines to paste quote the entire letter either but quote out what you want to address. There was no implication of ALL the fans, but a good majority of concerned individuals addressing their concerns. Do we not have the rights to speak out of our concerns in a civilized manner?

    Yeah, the server would need it too. My favorite rainbow six and CQB tactical shooter besides SWAT 4 (though I like rainbow more). I usually always carry flashbangs. I wish I got someone to play with again sometimes. Too bad I heard Takedown: Red Sabre didn't come out too hot.

    Removing a once more complex feature and replacing it with an ultra simplier one is considered... "dumbed down". Of course there's some nice features added to ARMA 3 like being able to change optics and such, but then there's also a few points it has, that are dumbed down as you have seen a certain system already.

    Ahh, you beat me to it. Anyways, since moving through buildings seems more easier with the movement, flashbangs are nice. That mod works pretty good nevertheless.

    Do you consider people voicing out their concerns pointless? It's not. As long as publicly calling people out and attacking them is avoided, the matter will be fine. The community has the rights to voice their concerns.
  23. Anyways, I'm assuming its Zorilya garrison script used in the video? I'm wondering if its compatible for MP and dedicated servers since I might make a CQB building sweeping mission some time in the future after some experimentation.
  24. You seriously have issues. Do you follow everyone and attempt to attack them for everything they do? What ChrisB is trying to do would be to test the AI and find an ideal equilibrium that the AI should be at. Say, you see how the modded AI in ARMA 2 behave almost human like. I'm assuming ChrisB would be gathering some AI mods and such for ARMA 3 as well and test the AI some times to see how they react and such and yet you criticize this? What is wrong with you? You seem to follow people around and bash them for everything? My question to you is, what have you done for the community that you must go around and bashing everyone else? Reason why it is good to compared the modded AI to vanilla is the see where their shortcomings are and what should be improve on. How is it not correct to find the right equilbrium in an ideal AI?
