revive A3 Wounding System (AIS by Psycho)
Phantom Six replied to Psychobastard's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hello Psycho, I'm wondering if there's a problem with multiple raven spawning whenever a player is hit when I'm using the script. It also seems to me that when I made a mission where players uses only pistols, it seems that people cannot heal anyone with pistols out and must change to primary weapon to heal.- 914 replies

Better if Steam loses this one. I see some games on steam that have false advertising and a refund should be made for those situation.

CiA Hardcore Arma 2 Iron Front Coop Nights
Phantom Six posted a topic in IRON FRONT: LIBERATION 1944 - MULTIPLAYER
Comrades in Arms will be hosting infrequent Iron Front coop night as a mod for Arma 2 for serious team players on Tuesday at 20:00 CET starting August 12th. During summer, daylight-saving time will be in effect. If you are uncertain of the current server time, check here. CiA have been running serious coop games for the past ten years. We are mostly known for our strict but simple modus operandi during our missions. There are no trainings or role playing; we concentrate on the mission and the ways to complete it, that's it. We choose a commander, lay out a plan, and during its execution we carefully follow the team leader's orders. In spite of that, the atmosphere is light and calm. Every one, including guests, can lead in our games. However, once a leader was chosen everybody are expected to do exactly as he says. We play community released missions as well as missions designed by our members. There are no game-modes! Expect only structured coop missions with definite objectives and success criteria. If you'd like to receive a direct impression of CiA gameplay, visit our . NO RESPAWN!! We play without respawn except for group or side respawn. We do not play with Instant or Base respawn and we do not use revive scripts. This means that if a player is dead, he/she will remain dead until the next mission starts. The reason we play like this is because one, we like to keep things realistic, but we don't want to go to the point of addressing each other by rank and other rubbish. We do not believe in one man rambo wiping out an entire army by themselves either. We believe respawns ruins that balance by throwing unrealistic impossible scenarios of hordes after hordes until they're all dead. The second reason why we play with no respawn is because you will value your life more, must play more carefully, makes the mission feel more intense, and you will not feel like rambo. If you know you can respawn, you might as well commit suicide anyways without consequences. If you know you'll sit and wait while spectating the others play for about twenty minutes, death will be something to avoid and fear, allowing more tactical plays while valuing life. In the end, no respawn = the greater the glory. CiA Server Rules 1. Orders and Communications Follow your leader's orders at all costs, even if they may seem senseless in your eyes. This also requires that each unit knows their number so you will know which order is addressed to you. We play with TFA radio. 2. Reporting Back If the leader addresses you, respond. If you have been given an order, respond with 'Roger' so the leader will know that you have received and understood it. Upon completion of the assigned task report 'Ready'. 3. Formation Stick with the formation unless told otherwise. Even numbers should move to the right hand side of the leader, while odd numbers to his left. If the main squad is split up into smaller squads, each squad moves as an independent team, led by an assigned secondary leader. 4. Map Stay focused on the tactical situation. Know where you and possible friendly units are to avoid friendly fire. 5. Firing Unless under immediate threat, do not open fire without being ordered! Before firing on a unit, check the map for friendly units! Rather be shot by an enemy than shooting a friendly! 6. Chat Keep the light-headed conversation for suitable moments. Don't chat if it has nothing to do with the current combat situation. 7. Concentration This is the last and most important rule: Concentrate. We don't forbid joking, but once a mission has started, stay serious, calm and focus on the game! Anyone who doesn't follow one or more of these rules will be asked to leave. CiA Standrard Operation Procedures Work in progress. Required Addons Check here. Recommended Addons Check here. Feel free to use client-side addons that do not give you unreasonable advantage. Fatigue Feedback (dev branch)
Phantom Six replied to solzenicyn's topic in ARMA 3 - DEVELOPMENT BRANCH
I would not throw fatigue out for a the sake of rambo whiners who cannot carry MGs and rockets and be able to run like they're on steroids. Its immersive and realistically, people shouldn't be carrying that much gear. If you remove fatigue, you take away the point of having an ammo bearer and watching your gear. I remember in ACE you'd just black out and fall down instead of get tired like in Arma 3. Honestly, fatigue is really immersive and promote some gameplay such. If person doesn't like it, just turn off the fatigue. Probably best thing to have is like back when Arma 2 implemented losing gears in water (yes or no). You can add a description.ext "Using fatigue system, yes or no" instead of completely removing it.- 1935 replies

Community interest in User Made Missions?
Phantom Six replied to StrongHarm's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I usually prefer manually downloading missions and renaming them to fit naming conventions. I am very interested in usermade missions that contains no respawn/group respawn/or side respawn usually with BIS style first aid (Psycho's first aid script comes closest). The guys I play with at Comrades in Arms, we're always looking for more of those kind of missions as well as some mission makers like myself make them as well. We even keep a server mission list around of the missions we've played. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AoIzrb1yPxg2cG9hTkJubUhKZGFNUDEzSHkwdFgyZlE#gid=18 -
Iron Front LITE mod in Arma 2
Phantom Six replied to .kju's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hey kju, just want to confirm something, but would it work if you upload the lite version on a server and people will full version and lite version can play it? Also for people who have full version, would they still have the high quality textures and sound even if the server uses a lite version? -
Iron front: Liberation 1944
Phantom Six replied to mstq's topic in IRON FRONT: LIBERATION 1944 - USER MISSIONS
If you want an HD Iron Front Mod for ARma 2 CO or Arma 3, grab away and this section is for custom missions dammit. Other than that, try Iron Front lite for Arma 2 or Arma 3. -
Iron Front LITE mod in Arma 3
Phantom Six replied to .kju's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Just wondering but if I play Iron Front Arma 3 (I have the full version), would AllinArma lite be sufficient or would I need the full AllinArma Standalone. -
Since I can now log onto steam from any computers in my home without being forced logged out, I'm wondering whether it is possible to play Arma 2 with the same steam account on each computers over LAN or will there be the same FADE CD Key conflict. Just curious. I have 2 CD Keys in case that happens anyways.

No, I go to UCI http://competitive.na.leagueoflegends.com/college/university-california-irvine Nevertheless, I personally am not a fan of MOBA (I have played DOTA 2 before but against bots <once against players, but I got put on the good team>, not a fan of LoL).

I played Arma 2 the longest out of all my games. Heh, my programming partners in college when they ask me what games I play, I told them "Arma". They're like "????". Well, majority of the people at my school play League of Legends (we're known for it and there's a big club for it here so yeah. I haven't met anyone else who played Arma, but I have met probably one person who have heard of Arma through the DayZ hype).

Funny, I think you're about 2 years older than me then zooloo and I'm also majoring in Computer Science. Started playing Arma 2 around sophomore or junior year though I started probably a few months after arrowhead was out was it a year, I don't quite recall. SQF was my first encounter at dabbling with some codes. Well, I knew I wanted to be something computer science related, but Arma gave me my first experience.

Updated Zaros Conspiracy to 1.2 - Fixed addUniform after update to forceAdduniform so soldiers are no longer naked - Added SP version (spy can now use SATCOM so no need for 2nd player to spectate and communicate for those who wants to play SP)

I saw people mentioning BF4 so often in the beginning of the thread.... I wouldn't say this is copying BF4... Red Orchestra 2 was the where I first saw this kind of cover system where you take cover if you're close to a wall -_-

It would've been logical to make a new command called sideadduniform rather than completely change what addUniform does. Now if someone adduniform on their missions with uniforms other than their faction, it will not work and will break the missions. It is best to not change a command that was working for a good while and just make a new command for that purpose instead. Instead of make addUniform to forceAddUniform, keep addUniform functionality to what it use to do and add a new command something like sideAddUniform instead. That'll save the hassle of breaking many missions with custom loadouts.
