  2. Not sure, the combat piece is when you jog with gun ready to fire? Im talking about the movement mode that is activated by 2xCtrl. Just walking an running animations though, I tested it a bit with your mod installed and animations go rather smoothly from your limited gun movement to aiming stance.
  3. As I heard it somewhere before: in Vietnam (based games) every bush and rock is an enemy! As for AI spotting: I personally use ASR AI with custom lower values for AI spotting. With my settings you can get away with a lot as long as you dont open fire. Here's an old Arma 2 script that allowed you to "hide" when you lay still. It erects an invisible object that blocks AI LoS unless its close enough to see inside of it.http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=15369
  4. Man cant wait for the release. I finally figured out how to do replacements and general config stuff. I managed to create an "M41MX": an MX model with M41 sounds and 100rnd magazines as default. Feels awesome the AI also seems to like it as NATO became more effective in infantry combat, I also managed to do a uniform replacement config for NATO, but that is just not it. Im still missing a good looking futuristic helmet. Once this mod goes live Im so changing NATO into UNSC!
  5. Glad to see the Unsung being ported to Arma 3. To be honest the thing Im REALLY looking forward to are the jungle maps. No other Arma mod ever nailed the thick jungle like Unsung did.
  6. I would like to request a mod that would slow down time when you hold breath. Im BAD at shooting and I need some training wheels for my own use.
  7. Is it anything big? If it would require small editing then I could fix it for myself.
  8. Was the sector occupation display fixed? I remember it got broken in some of the recent updates.
  9. Maybe you could edit the animations when running with a gun, but not the raised/fire on the move ones, the ones when you run without aiming.

    Request/suggestion: replace guys sitting crosslegged and crossing their arms with animation of passengers sitting on the littlebird bench. Best yet, allow those to fire their guns from the chopper. Besides that: I ADORE this mod, huge Huey fan.

    [SP] HETMAN: War Stories

    I just had crazy mission: infantry with light vehicles only, I died some time into mission and I took over a Hunter driver and it got crazy. Enemy had my guys pinned in the woods so without thinking I hammered the gas pedal and started running over dudes like nobody's business. I even took 40mm HE grenade and RPG-42 to the face, that last one killed the engine, so I got out and started throwing grenades like crazy. In the end I ended up running over 10 people (including enemy commander, launching like 50 meters forward) and killed 4 others with grenades, we won this time. Hunter is damn beastly it seems.
  12. Wow, the Biofoam sure will be nice addition. The mass effect style medigel thing is something that IRL would be an awesome tool for saving lives. IMHO the Biofoam should heal better then First Aid Kits if possible. Will the SAW concept go into the mod? As of now UNSC lacks light machine guns to use for suppression. When I tried doing the Colonial Marines replacement config for NATO (didnt work BTW), I have noticed that 95 rounds magazine and inbuilt 4 round grenade launcher greatly simplified squad compositions. There was no need for separate Automatic Riflemen or Grenadiers as every soldier had the firepower of both of them combined and it really comes into play during firefights. The sheer volume of fire one M41 can lay down is impressive, now multiply that by 8 for a whole squad. This why I like mods like this one, they allow to test out the theory behind stuff like M41 Pulse Rifle. I cant wait to pit UNSC against other Arma 3 factions to see how they will fare. My question about Pelican still stands.
  13. Another Question about Pelican: will there be a pure troop transport version? I read that special extension could be added in place of the vehicle cargo place thingy. Such Pelican could carry at least twice as many troops, but it forgoes the ability to transport additional vehicles using the magnet sling load gizmo.
  14. Thats the thing: AI has loads of troubles trying to land a VTOL to unload troops in the field, frequently missing the DZ. Im just saying that, if possible, make the Pelican stop fast for sake of AI controlled insertions.
  15. Few question about the Pelican: will it support fastroping? Will it have the option to use machine gun at the rear? How are you going to deal with the flight model? I did quite a bit of experimentation with the MV-22 Ospray in Arma 2. I noticed that AI has incredible troubles slowing down fast enough and it often misses the LZ and has to do a huge circle to get vertical and land properly. I think that the main problem is that MV-22 was "too slow to slow down". Im not sure, but Pelican should be treated by the game like a big and fast helicopter rather then plane. Also if possible Pelican should bleed the speed very, very fast when you bring the nose up trying to slow down in order to land.
  16. Will you guys release the base models so they can be edited? Will you allow others to use your work as a base (with permission of course)? Im asking as your models would be a great starting place for more futuristic content that does not need to abide Halo canon.

  20. I meant replacing default Arma 3 NATO soldiers with UNSC, basically replacing their equipment with stuff from your mod. Again, just for giggles, also Im curious about how the feel of the Campaign would change.
  21. My question about M90 still stands. I would like to ask about armors: are helmets separate from vests? Im asking as screenshot show vests together with helmets, so Im wondering if its just for preview purposes. Great looking armors on last screenshot. To be honest Im kinda missing some bracers for cooler look, but it looks awesome nevertheless. BTW: I would love to see a replacement config that would replace NATO soldiers with UNSC, just for giggles.
  22. If everything is fine then great! Im just looking for potential issues that may have slipped your attention. Again, you guys are doing incredible job, so dont think Im trying to take away from your hard work just to be a dick. Question about M90 shotgun: in games it is depicted as purely pump-action, but I just read that in some source material it was depicted as firing in semi-auto. My guess is that the game devs went with pump action as it looks more badass and more interesting then semi-auto shotgun. However it would make a great deal of sense for M90 default firing mode to be actually the semi-auto mode. As you guys said its 500 years into the future and we already have M4 Super 90 that is capable of semi-auto, pump action and even (pretty much) full auto. Halo's M90 probably has pump action mode so it can fire special rounds that may not cycle next one. Just food for thought.
  23. AFAIK the reason why real weapons are designed with the cocking handle on the right is because it moves back and forth when the gun is firing. I guess you dont want it on the side where your face is at.
  24. I have question about the gun models, namely the mirrored nature of some of them. For example: in Halo the sniper rifle has the cocking handle on the left, not only does that make little sense, but A3 lacks animations for such setup. Many games have the so-called lefthanded-righthanded guns with ejection fort and cocking handle on the left side. Basically the gun model is mirrored so the player can look at the "more interesting" part of the gun. Right now I cant think of other Halo weapons with such setup, but you guys should keep that in mind.
