I think I mean - can we have laser designation on the Comanche / Apache? 2nd Edit: RobertHammer just mentioned the BD Helfire mod - just what I wanted. If only there was a way to slave the 30mm cannon to the pilot's vision? Bet someone tells me we already have that too!? :D I downloaded the MI-28 Havok mod for Arma 2 today and noticed that it has an option to laser designate for other vehicles. This is a great option - I know the UK upgraded Apache MK1 has this feature (eye-safe laser). Will it be in Arma 3? Picture of me designating for an F35B. It's SP - I'm the gunner in the Havok - all other vehicles are piloted by AI. PS For the F35b you need to remove other weapons or it will use canon and sidewinders first. Name it F35Bveh and add the following to init. Yes but you need so much more - it was only last month I learned such useful things such as: map - shift + click = personal waypoint Which helps with all sorts of things like finding enemy and navigating a helicopter accurately. Was that in bootcamp? (Sorry if it was) We need more than how to point and shoot a gun. Can we have PDF files of lists of key commands for each feature etc.?

RobertHammer be praised thats just what I've needed all my Arma 2 life! Similar to what they have on the Havok but a little better. The pilot can select Laser Marker and point it with the aircraft to buildings etc. You can then command the gunner to target laser target and kill the building with a hellfire. Excellent! That's what we need in Arma 3. Thats one problem I have - so many mods it's hard to get what you want :confused:.

Yes but how many will they actually build? People often say how wonderful Russian hardware is such as: MI-28 Havoc - 37 in operation as of February 2011 Ka-50 15 in operation as of late (2010) Ka-52 8 in operation as of late (2010) US Army 727 AH-64s (107 AH-64As, and 620 AH-64Ds) in use as of January 2011. I'm sure they are very good quality but they can't afford to build them and they don't have many customers......

The Old city of Prague is a fantastic place, particularly in late winter when it's quiet. There is enough to see and do there without bothering BIS. Leave them to work in peace. If they start getting odd people turning up at their offices all the time they might not be so open with us any more.

Will this work with any Android platform? They only have the Apple iOS4 listed on the website?

Did this aircraft tour the UK air show circuit a few years back? If so it was nice to see it parked near the BBMF Lancaster bomber so you could compare the two. Hopefully it can be salvaged, if not maybe there will be some spares for other B17s. Looks like the crew had a lucky escape - would not mind hearing the tale of that!

The US Marine style of cap is the best. At least it looks military with the faceted high sides. The Army cap just looks ordinary.

AddMagazine works for me? You have to use the correct magazine though - search my posts on the Editing Section. I have a Radio trigger option that spawns a mortar within 10m of you, command the AI to get in it and select targets when they appear on the map. Command your AI to fire at target: Put this in the on act of the radio trigger. mortar1 = createVehicle ["M252_US_EP1", position player, [], 10, "NONE"]; {mortar1 addmagazine "8Rnd_81mmHE_M252"} forEach [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8];

How do you command more than 9 AI on your team? I keep forgetting the key strokes for the command menu to select the 10th , 11th , 12th etc guys. -

I preferred the film from the previous year that was very similar but had a better plot and cast. Death Hunt (1981) staring Charles Bronson and Lee Marvin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Hunt I think Rambo, First Blood (1982) was a copy of this, designed to appeal to a younger market? They are very similar just set at different times / places.

We wouldn't have invaded Afghanistan without the 9/11 attack so Bin Laden induced that cost? Add up the additional expense across the world to the various military organisations, emergency services, aviation industry, policing, security services, public transport security changes, surveillance, passport redesign etc. etc. My point is, it cost the price of 2 bullets to get rid of him (um...... plus the search and mission lol). A costly trial(s) would cost millions. Why spend any more money? I doubt charging Laden for the above cost would have got you much back lol.

There is no need to charge him with anything. We are at war with Al Qaeda - you don't charge em, you just shoot em? Soldiers generally don't run about the battlefield saying, "Oi stop in the name of the law!" Lots of people are trying to analyse this from the viewpoint that he should be treated the same as any common criminal. He doesn't have that status - he is an 'enemy combatant', which is the term the US uses. Besides, bullets are cheap, lawyers, jails and trials cost millions. Why should we spend any more money on the asshole when he has cost the world trillions already? Let the lawyers and their friends cry over lost pay checks.

Sorry for the late reply - very busy this month. You need to name your aircraft something - eg. plane1 or planeOne for these scripts to work. Double click on it in the editor to open the menu. You can put them in triggers: Cond: planeOne in thisList On Act: one of the codes above In the init/initialization line of the aircraft. Or, use them in sqf scripts - Search for Mr Murray's Editing Guide. That will teach you how. I worked on this in the Zargabad map for someone else - see this: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=106943 It has the door animations too. -

Put an H (invisible) where you want the aircraft crash. Name your helicopter k1 (or whatever). Waypoints WP 50m from H (invisible) On Act: k1 land "GET OUT"; i=[k1,4.5,time,false,false] spawn BIS_Effects_Burn; WP on H (invisible) Type "GET OUT" Then 2 triggers on H (invisible): trigger1 Area 50m Anybody - Once cond: k1 in thislist && (getpos k1 select 2) <=50 On Act: k1 setDammage 0.9; trigger2 Area 25m Anybody - Once Timeout Min30 Mid30 Max30 cond k1 in thislist && (getpos k1 select 2) <=1 On Act: k1 setDammage 1; That will simulate a good fire with lots of smoke and a spinning, hard landing due to tail rotor failure. Importantly, no one on board will be injured or killed. You will need to add MayDays and warnings with sideChat. Problems: -You will need to move everyone 25m from the helo or they will be killed when it explodes. Just have extra move waypoints for the helicopter. the crew will follow them when the get out. -There is no sound of explosion when the helo sets on fire - I will leave that one for you. Edit: Just had a few reruns of this in the editor and to make sure you get the crew to escape put: k1 setDammage 1; In the additional k1 waypoints and don't have the 2nd trigger. When the crew reaches the waypoint the helicopter will explode. Also set the waypoints to behaviour: CARELESS so theAI run. -

Try this simple satelite style zoom in , switch to thermal imaging script for the airfield on Utes Island. Use a radio trigger or save it as initIntro.sqf to use it in the intro.
