Opforce is destroyed but trigger does not deactivate.

I place a Bluforce soldier on the map (me) and one Opforce soldier on the map. I create a trigger: Activated by Blueforce Repeatedly Detected by Opforce I added a hint that tells me when the trigger is Activated. I added a hint that tells me when the trigger is Deactivated. I await in ambush. When Opforce passes to me I open fire and miss on purpose. Opforce detects me and the trigger Activates. Whooo! I run away and hide and after a little bit Opforce cannot find me and the trigger Deactivates. Whooo! I stand up and fire at Opforce. The first few shots miss and the trigger is Activated again. Whooo! I then shoot Opforce. As Opforce is dead he cannot Detect me. The trigger should Deactivate. Why is it that the trigger does not Deactivate? . -

I am commanding an AI soldier. To select that soldier I hit F2 To make that soldier stop I hit: F2 1 6 My plan is that when a trigger fires that man stops. How can I put F2 1 6 into a script? .

If an object has a name, you can move the object from anywhere to anywhere else. Place a box on the map. Name the box and name your object. Now create a trigger that moves the object to the box. blue1 setPos (getPos box1) -

. . The issue dates back to Arma 2. As they are AI soldiers and not human soldiers, the best solution is that they do not carry pistols AND rifles. It is either one or the other. .

. . . In game, I hit "I" for inventory and the inventory screen opens. I see that my character's name appears at the top of the inventory screen. Except that my mouse pointer is always sent to the far top right corner of my monitor! My suggestion is that when we hit "I" that the mouser curser by default, is moved to the name of my character. It means that I now have only a very short movement to any place in the inventory screen. . .

. . Suggestion to display the character names in the Virtual Arsenal. I have created 3 Opforce soldiers and named them: Opforce 01 Opforce 02 Opforce 03 I exit the game, do something and open the game later. I load the solder named Opforce 02 and make a change and now I have to save it. Hang on a sec, which one did I load? I forget! My suggestion is that once I have saved a solder, and I load him again, his name ought to be displayed, say on the right hand side of the main screen in the Virtual Arsenal. If I have not saved a soldier, his default name might be Unsaved. .

I am a four year veteran of Arma 2. I have had Arma 3 for 3 days. Place a soldier on the map (me). Select Empty > Cars Hunter HMG (this is a vehicle with a MG mounted on top) Get in the vehicle and start driving. Turn Left is bound to Mouse Left and Turn Right is bound to Mouse Right. Drive to the practise range. Now stop the vehicle and get into the gunner’s seat. I note the gunner has his own binding. Turn the gun Left is bound to Mouse Left and Turn the gun Right is bound to Mouse Right. Actually both bindings were blank so I shall now bind them. Turn gun left and turn gun right now works fine. Fire at practise targets and now head home. Get into drivers set. Cannot steer left or right! Make the gunners binding blank and now I can steer the vehicle again. There is a conflict between Steer Vehicle Left and Turn gun Left! . . -

I never found Game Options General! Thank you! In the meantime I came up with another solution: I created another character. By default he uses the default settings and all work just fine. I then added my mouse to control certain moves - and all works well. It means I have not duplicated what ever problem I caused! . As an added bonus, armour now feels heavy and awkward when I steer - just as it should. It no longer drives like a sports car! -

Because my joystick works in Arma 2. If Windows 8.1 was the problem it would not work in Arma 2. -

I start as a soldier. Freelook is OFF. I turn Freelook ON and make sure it is working. I turn Freelook OFF and the get in the vehicle. I note that vehicles do not have a separate Freelook - so I cannot disable for vehicles. I start driving the vehicle and turn left and right. Then I turn on Freeview and it works fine. I turn off Freeview. I bind the mouse with the gun turning left and right. The gun works just fine - but the vehicle is now in Freeview so I can no longer turn left or right! If I bound both the steering and the gun to the mouse - Freeview is always ON and I cannot steer! -

I can add to this: I run WIN 8.1 My Logitech Attack 3 joystick works in Arma 2 but does not work in Arma 3. It is clearly a problem with Arma 3 and not with Windows. -

Yes I am using the mouse to steer and using the mouse to turn the weapon. It is a 2 man vehicle so I cannot do both at the same time. When the gun is bound with the mouse the vehicle cannot be turned in any direction. -

Gunter you do not understand. The DVD has 8 Gigs of data. In the olden days you buy a game and then afterwards you download patches. My idea is that we install that 8 Gigs from a DVD - and then install patches from Steam. I am sure somebody has already thought of that but somebody will not allow it! As a result the download took 21 hours and 45 minutes. . -

I have slow internet here. I bought A3 on DVD. I have a Steam account but I have no Steam games. I have never used Steam before. I wish to install from DVD. The Steam instruction for installing from DVD begins with: Click on my Library ( the library has no Games) Right click on Arma 3 and Delete Local Content. I do not have Arma 3 in my library. How do I delete local content? -

Yep done all of that. The DVD makes a poor Frisbee. Now downloading the game. I just came up with a clever idea! Just imagine if I could install the game from the DVD and then AFTERWARDS register it on Steam! I am soooo brilliant ! . It is expected to take 42 hours to download. . -

Many who have mods or add-ons have a problem. Their mod or add-on is not compatible with another mod or add-on. One or the other has to be deactivated before the player can continue. If both authors uploaded their mod or add-on to BIS or Steam, then it is plausible that BIS and or Steam could ensure that both mod/addons and compatible with the base game and both are compatible with each other. And certify that they remain compatible as BIS produce their own DLC's into the future. If that were the case I would be happy to pay for a mod/add-on that had such a certification. . . -

I have a totally different solution. In a trigger menu, in the bottom left corner select Effects. This gives a list of many sounds. Artillery falling, explosions, gunshots, dogs barking, ducks quacking etc etc Select a sound and when the trigger fires the sound plays. AH! I hear you say. You don't want the sound of artillery falling on me! You want the sound to be in the distance. Solution: Place the trigger say 400 meters from your position. Have the trigger fired by an independent or by some other means. Then you get the sound of artillery falling some distance away! . . -
