  1. Crossroads: Same tactical problem. Different weapons different solution. Requirements: Opration Arrowhead BAF PMC A small party of enemy have advanced to nearby crossroads. They were seen filling sandbags. It is now late afternoon. We need to take the crossroads before dark, otherwise they will probably reinforce the position overnight. Your mission is to re-take the crossroads. The terrain is scrubby. The enemy are difficult to spot. The enemy position is not actually on the crossroads. The position is adjacent. Each time you play the mission the enemy starts in one of 9 places at random. The enemy has a minimum of 2 soldiers and a maximum of 6 soldiers. The actual number is at random. You start in one of 3 places at random. So, every time you start the mission, you start in a different place, the enemy starts in a different place and the enemy has a different number of men! Instead of one mission there are 5 missions in the zip file attached. Mission 101: Each soldier on both sides has grenades and a .45 cal 6 shooter revolver. You need to get up close and lob grenades! Mission 102: Each soldier on both sides has grenades and a 9mm pistol. The extra fire power is useful but you still need to get close and lob grenades. Mission 103: Each soldier on both sides has grenades and a 303 Lee Enfield bolt action rifle. Both sides have greater range but a slow rate of fire. Mission 104: Each soldier on both sides has grenades and a modern CQC rifle (“Close Quarter Combatâ€). The weapons have short barrels, steel sights and a high rate of fire. Mission 105: Each soldier on both sides has grenades. Opforce soldiers retain the CQC rifle and Blueforce get a rifle with a TWS sight. You are faced with the same tactical situation but you use 5 different weapons so it needs 5 different approaches. http://users.tpg.com.au/sueyoo/IronFront/CrossProving.zip . . .

    OPFOR map as intel

Or make a trigger that fires when you search the body. The trigger might place a marker on the map

    Ability to clear vehicle arsenal

Yes. In the editor click on the vehicle. Add and remove items from the vehicle.
  6. Another solution: Place a box on the map and name it box1 Arrange it so that it always starts at one of 10 places at random. Each of those 10 places has a trigger. When the box appears in a trigger it causes that trigger to fire. When a trigger fires it runs a script. Obviously you would have 10 scripts. So, from the player's point of view, one of 10 scripts will be selected at random. . .
  7. How about create a mission where your squad are opforce and see if you switch to blueforce
  8. Sometimes vehicles drive in convoys along roads. The roads have many bends along the way. Some vehicles are controlled by AI soldiers. If the convoy is in column formation, I would like to be able to give a spacing command. For example: I order "column - 200" meaning that the vehicles should try to remain about 200 meters apart. On a foot patrol I might order: "V-20" which means the men should go to V formation and the AI soldiers try to keep a spacing of 20 meters between each man. To be able to set the spacing would enhance the game. .
  9. I am wondering what you mean by "orientation" ? In the 3D editor, the whole island can be seen as though it were a map in a street directory. .
  10. Instead of a game logic, place a small item on the map - like a watch. Such a thing is easy to edit.

    Detection Script

I too thought of that answer. However he wants a lust of every unit who has detected him. .

    Condition of Presence: alive [unit]

Go back to Arma 2 and test there. If it works there it will work in Arma 3 .
  13. I feel they are much better than the other kinds. It's a shame the game doesn't run on a Windows phone.
  14. "Controls preset" is said to be a feature of Apex. Well, for movement I have used, in games, since about 1998, Z = slow X = medium C = fast Why would I select pre-set controls when I am used to my own controls? .
  15. I wish to play Arma 3 tonight. I can't because there is an update. It will take 8 hours to download. What am I downloading? No, I have not yet ordered or paid for Apex. .
  16. Yes. Turn off your router. Then play Arma3 offline. This idea of allowing us to choose to download updates now or later has not yet seeped through to the powers that be.
  17. BIS implies 9.5 gig. Wow! Big update! After this I will wait some weeks before ordering or downloading Apex. It's probably a 32 hour download!
  18. There is no way of telling. Arma3 is the only thing I have on Steam.

    Old 2D Editor Permanently Gone?

It's not default because it is not supported. In the 3D editor press M for "Map" and in effect you are in 2D editing mode. .
  20. Another way to do it: Create your soldier with his customized load out and place him in an out of the way place over on the edge of the map. Then create a trigger which causes him to transport to the required location. . .
  21. Place 5 triggers on the map. Within each trigger is a command that adds uniforms, equipment and weapons to soldiers. Arrange that one trigger is selected at random begins over players starting position. From the players point of view the AI always start the mission with a different loadout.
  22. 1. Remove all magazines. 2. Add one magazine. Use the same commands from the Arma2 days.
  23. You could delete the dead AI and replace him with a living one.
  24. The AI in the tower seems to have a blue icon over him implying he is blueforce?

    Virtual Arsenal Ammo Bearer

No. He can only carry magazines for weapons he is carrying.
