I have not heard from Massi yet. He is either ignoring me or he never checks his PMs. So I downloaded Binkowski's Test Soldier file and retextured it using Kryptek Mandrake. It looks terrible compared to Massi's models. Does anyone know of a better model? Maybe one that was designed for Arma 2 and not converted from Arma 1.

Sweet!!! I made it on the WIP weekly report on Armaholic. Thanks Foxhound and R0adki11. No response from Massi yet.

Here is a screenshot of soldiers in the Urban pattern.

I sent a PM to Massi asking his permission.

Ok, I will keep working at it. Here's another pic showing 4 of the camo patterns. From left to right... Typhon, Mandrake, Highlander and Nomad.

Ok, I have made some changes to the config file but now my character textures won't load. I get this error: Cannot load texture "mas_us_rangs\delta\data\do_1_cw.paa" Is the location of this texture located in the P3D file? I have tried opening the P3D file in Oxygen 2 but I get this error: Unable to load binarized version of the P3D. Mesh loaded into the editor is only known bounding box of the P3D model. You can see some properties in Named Properties window. Oxygen will reject all requests to save this model into P3D to prevent you to destroy the file by mistake. Thanks for your help.

Massi's code is not the problem. I am inexperienced with changing a config.bin file. The biggest challenge is renaming all the files and references to them. The config file is very large with 5 camo patterns and 19 soldier classes for each pattern. I'm going to start small with 1 class, then work my way up from there.

Ghost Recon - Island Thunder campaign
biggins replied to lightspeed_aust's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - USER MISSIONS
This has been a great campaign. I've been able to complete all the missions except for Jaguar Maze with the pilot rescue script problem. I'm having a major problem with mission 6 at the polling center. The enemy soldiers appear as friendlies and are not hostile. They don't shoot at me and my squad doesn't shoot at them. When I shoot the enemy soldiers, my squad members shoot and kill me because they think I'm shooting friendlies. Also, the Hummer always explodes about 5 minutes into the mission and I get a "Mission Failure" message. I can't drive the Hummer to a different spot and there don't appear to be explosives to disable. After the mission fails, I can go on to mission 7 but I'd like to complete mission 6 successfully. -
Good campaign, wish it was longer. It would be nice to have more rifles to choose from. Maybe Mk17 Sniper, Mk17 RCO EGLM, M110 NV Scope, DMR and M14 AIM. I like 7.62 mm rifles! Also remember to provide ammo crates with Mk17 and DMR magazines. If you are thinking about including addons, please consider weapon addons from Robert Hammer (RH_HK416, RH_MGS, RH_Mk18, etc). In the 5th mission, Bravo team has Mk17 rifles but you only have Mk16 Holo. I almost wanted to kill one of those guys so I could take his rifle. :o Here is a tip for the 4th mission. Tip for 5th mission.

Downloaded the new Mk18 pack, it works fine now. Keep up the good work!

The EBR's in the Mk18 pack are messed up. The ones in the MGS pack work fine. Also, I used the EBR's in vanilla Arma II and this problem did not occur. So it's something in the Operation Arrowhead patch 1.55 that messed this up. This is not a big deal, just something to fix in the future. Here are some screenshots:

Hey RobertHammer! I'm a big fan of your work and especially enjoy the M14 models you have included in your packs. I found a problem with the Mk14 EBR and the way it is held. I think this problem is a caused by some change with the OA 1.55 patch. I haven't been able to grab a screenshot of it but I will try again tomorrow. When the soldier is holding the Mk14 EBR, the arms are stretched out to the ground and twisted. It looks like the left arm is grabbing the ground in front of the right foot. The right arm goes through the body and the right hand is grabbing the ground behind the left heel. It only occurs in the Mk14 EBR rifles. Arm problem Mk14 EBR Mk14 EBR SD Mk14 EBR SD Shortdot Mk14 EBR SD SP Mk14 EBR Shortdot Mk14 EBR SP Working normally M1SE1 (all versions) M14 (all versions with wood stock) M21 Mk14 tan (all EBR versions) Mk18 (all versions) Socom II (all versions) The soldier can move and shoot normally, it's just the arms are messed up. Thanks again for all your work.
