  2. not bad i like it. same time i like the vanilla as it seams you take away the dirt grime and grunge. that you expect on some of those buildings. and given the current state of the area you are operating in. maybe you can get a version out there that will keep the immersive dirty building look. instead of making them look new or well kept. still going to give it a try tho


  3. ok im looking for a group to play with. i have been around arma for years and i know what im doing. what im looking for is a 18 + group a group who can get along follow the current leader for the mission without complaints.

    at least until mission is over. and play in a tactical environment and enjoy themselves doing so.

    im not looking for super cool sf unit .im not looking for super realism with ranks.

    main deal breaker for me is well horrible mod packs. im also looking for a group using ace3.

  4. Hello fellow ArmA enthusiasts and ArmA content creators. My name is Cole Ashford founder of Summit RPG for ArmA 3, currently my small dev team and I have been working hard on creating a RPG life community, called Summit RPG. The idea of Summit RPG is to create a whole new type of role play experience to ArmA, allowing players to fulfill the roles of their characters and to interact and connect in ways that have never been done before. Summit RPG will consist of all new buildings and cars, being created by my DEV team and I. We are working hard on modeling the cars for the mod and modeling the buildings for the map. The map is being created as of now it is called "Summit Valley" (yes, we know summits and valleys are two completely different things). To take into perspective, the map will be a bit larger than Lakeside Valley. The map is going to consist of some major cities, along with vast mountains and valleys cover with lush Forest. The map is an island surrounded with water allowing for the use of boats and helicopters. The map will be great I can promise that, the mod will also bring a great RP experience. The buildings being modeled are not added to the map yet, cause they still need to configured in object builder. The moral of this post was to give you a good description on our community and the mod. Although with that in mind, over all we need a larger DEV team to get this off the ground. If anyone has any bit of ArmA development experience anywhere from modeling, to scripting we would be happy for you to join our dev team. What we are really looking for is a head developer with a large amount of ArmA DEV experience, practical experienced in getting models into game and scripting them. Along with that having good leadership skills to fulfill the role of a head DEV, who can really shine in our community. Keep in mind I really appreciate anyone that is willing to help get this community, map, and mod get off the ground through the long process of Development. Remember as well if anyone has any content already created and are willing to let us use it, we will be giving all credit to the creators, and it's very appreciated. Ok so after looking at the ballistics code of the ACE 3 team, I will be taking Ruthbergs advice and I will continue to support the 3rd party devs, however with that I will also be making sure they are ACE3 compatible code wise. ACE 3 ballistics code is VERY VERY similar to Ruthbergs advanced ballistics mod and my current work is inter-operable with his. This will allow me to use the same setup as I have been using, and I will be able to focus my efforts on securing the best ballistics data instead of learning to write code in a new fashion. With that out of the way, there are a few things I would like to clear up....

    1. My current work is fairly accurate, within 5% for sure, 3% in some cases, and rarely within 1%, and I am pretty happy with this, but I will try to get this dialed in a bit more, see below for more details.

    2. There will never be any TRUE simulation in ArmA even with Ruthbergs and ACE's work, the problem lies with densities of objects and how projectiles react with them. Imagine trying to accurately model ever fence, door, house, building, window pane, ect..., its almost impossible, and not really worth the dev time. In addendum there is also an issue with how body armor works in the game, unless someone has gotten the right dev tools to edit this (I am not currently aware of anyone who has), this is a "broken" element to ballistics.

    3. I am still awaiting the finished product from my friend Bakerman on his new ArmA III ballistics calculator which I use exclusively to help me import real ballistics data into values that ArmA's engine uses. If you have ever wondered why my numbers are so detailed (example. hit = 10.039582042) its because of the calculations that are run to generate that number based off of the variables I have set (see my original post on the first page of this thread for more information). Bakermans new calculator will allow me to dial in the numbers a bit more as his work is completely revised and enhanced.

    Now in the mean time I need some new projects to work on, this is a public shout to 3rd party modders, what are your current projects that need new ballistics, the most commonly asked for ones will go first. Also for anyone interested the .408 Sniper rifle seems to have a new bolt action animation that looks and sounds pretty darn good, for anyone making bolt action sniper weapon systems look into this, I am all finished with my .338 Lapua research, just waiting for the rifles to test them.

    im with the eu sof mod are we are making a few weapons over the course of time. and with that said we are going to be incorporating warsaw pact ammo such as 7.62x54r 7.62x39 5 45 9x18 so seeing some russian round ballistics would be great also maybe some of the older rounds like 8mm mauser and 7.62x55 swiss


  6. That's a reason why i choose EF,'cuz the items from JSF and SGB are too...well...normal maybe,just some AKs,XM8s and whatever you can find in a lot of game(and also in real life).The EF items seem more Sci-fic so give us more room to do some self modify.

    And actually I said I need some reference Materials don't means picetures only,so far the most wanted references would be some advices,like what should we do after finish the models,how to named some of the self modify weapons and items,etc.

    And yes that's a modified FN2000(named as E-3000 in End War and we decided to use this name) and also that AUG(not exist in the final version of End War game,but we are going to made one and rename it.).I'm now thinking maybe I should asked some modders if I could get permission to modify some of their already exist models to make things easier,but the rest in the group now prefer to self-made ones.

    all ways go self made it will feel so much better in the end. also you guys going high poly ?


  7. AC cut is far more common to see with SF than G3 is so AC would be a better alternative in that respect as well. I mean you can always do both :)

    im sure we will and it dont matter if it was commonly in use or not. if it was used we will get it in the mod at some point in time. so in point anybody suggesting we do less then what we can or should HAHAHA! no we will do all we can when we can. not because people ask us to not because people want us to. but because we can and we want to. i hope that clears up a lot of matters
