  2. Got this odd message when I try to run a LAN/Internet server on my computer. I can't understand why, I've tried with all my current mods, no mods, beta, no beta, verified my files on steam. Also just tried reinstalling the game. Nothing fixes it. Anyone help with this?
  3. Hey that worked! I didn't know it read the MPMission files (but thinking now it makes sense duh ha). I thought it was detecting my local missions but not the ones in the ArmA 2 folder. I will have to go through and see which one is causing the error. Worked it out. I had the FDF mod installed (Finnish Defence Force) It appears one of the maps included has an issue with it. Once I removed them maps from the MPMission folder it was fine again. Thanks DjDaemonNL!
  4. Yeah I already use these. But on ACE grenades can still kill people who are inside the trigger, on the normal mode it used to make grenades dud and not explode. I've tried everything with eventhandler to remove the damage from grenades and rocket. But removing the option from the player to fire in the first place would fix everything, including firing sounds. That is why I wanted to see if it was possible to disable the firing and throwing command while in these protection zones. Any help would be great.
  5. Hi, Is it possible to disable weapon fire within a trigger area or distance from a marker. I would basically like to disable the player from being able to fire or throw something like a grenade. I'm not sure if it is possible but kind of like forcing weapon safety. I would like not only for this to become an anti team killing measure but to stop people from test firing their weapons near certain points and creating a racket. Thanks!

    Hi, thank you for the reply. I didn't realise you could increase the range that way, although I did think that was what it was doing I should have tried changing the number doh. just because it was so low I was thinking it wasn't working correctly. Oh well stupid mistake and thanks for the additional info. Will also be useful if clearing multiple areas.

  10. I thought that will effect all classes? What if I still want other classes to have Binoculars and some without. Thanks for reply btw.
  11. When I create a class with the SOFLAM and Vector (marked in red) and save the class and close the program. Ingame the class seems to work as normal. But then when I load up LEA after playing the class will have been overwritten and default Binoculars and SOFLAM (as marked in red). Is this something that cannot be forced as the binoculars are given to a class ingame as default? The reg.exe doesn't close after using LEA. If I use the program multiple times reg.exe just keeps building up CPU usage.
  12. Hey thanks very much! Edit: is it also possible to create a class with the SOFLAM and Vector without the Binoculars overwriting the vector after you close down LEA? I get very high cpu usage from reg.exe after using the LEA program as well. Thanks.
  13. Sorry I didn't mean pack in the backpack. I just meant adding 2 of the same radios to the same load out. When I add one then try adding another, it refuses to add the 2nd radio to my load out.
  14. Is there anyway I can get 2x ACRE PRC148's in one backpack. It doesn't let me if I already have one in my class loadout. I asked people in my community and they said they can but I can't seem to get it to add to my inventory. Can anyone help?

    Preorder Bonuses?

    I like the sound of getting physical stuff with a retail CD version but pre-order bonuses just seem a bad idea to me, in-game content and stuff. Unless it's just some camouflages pattern or something not as important.
  16. As the title says. I'd like to run the game with Normal video memory and Texture Details as very high. But the game is locked to have them both set the same. Is there anywhere I can edit a config to edit these settings that way? Not sure I can find them in the armaoa.cfg. Thanks.
  17. Thanks will give it a try. Sadly still hates been set as default and did your equation and set them as 1728053248. Still the same as ever. I think it is time to ditch this card and get a new single GPU card. Might even have to go to Nvidia on this one.
  18. Well what would you recommend I set localVRAM as? I have tried that before and had no success in stabilisation.
  19. I see. I will try that maxVRAM. But as Funker says above. I get the same experience with 20 fps when I select default. But will try the command line.
  20. I'm in the same boat atm. Thinking of selling my 5970. Dual cards are not worth the effort really. It has been good for 3 years but might be time to go back to single. ATI drivers ain't working that good for dual cards mind.
  21. I have tried it as default and the fps drops to a solid 18-20fps. Doesn't seem to work as people claim it does. Settings texture detail: vhigh video memory: vhigh AF: vhigh AA: high ATOC: disabled Terrian detail: high Object detail: high Shadow detail: vhigh HDR quality: normal PPAA: disabled Postprocess: high Vsync: off It is mostly fine but sometimes causes big lag spikes and the game flickers white sometimes. Not sure if it is an ATI issue or game lighting. My PC specs are ATI HD5970 i7 920 Corsair 6GB Windows 7 64-bit.
  22. Wondering have the developers made anything similar to the popular cooperative gamemode 'domination' from ArmA 2. Would be very exciting to see something like that in this game. Thanks!
