Cold War Rearmed² All-in-one-Demo + Patch²
Altimeter replied to W0lle's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I think that was answered already...According to this all three islands are on top of each other in Prague or somewhere in middle/eastern europe. :D No, Im just trying to get a picture, you know if one would fly from Everon to Malden, which direction whould he take. Since the "North East"-hint concerning Malden/Kolgujev is a given fact, and Everon should indeed be closer to Kolgujev, my picture could be about right. -

A bit offtopic, but it always interested me: How are the Malden islands positioned to each other? Thats my idea, based upon the two pieces of info you actually get in OFP: http://s14.directupload.net/images/111205/a5ft9k5z.jpg -

Is there going to be Malden as well? -
Do you have some screenshots to show? So far I only see one tank, which was donated by Topas.

Hell in the Pacific MOD

Haha lol no. Project Reality tried to do the same douchbaggery, and now they arent even active anymore. -
I hate these badly conealed requests. Oh and "possibility" two times? Are you retarted? The mod will have what it will have.

What new vehicles are in 2.7? I didnt play ArmA 2 for over a year, so I kind of lost track of this mod. I still know it had Panzuer IV, Panther, Tiger and King Tiger.

Very impressive Mech addon by waterhiro
Altimeter posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
It seems it went by unnoticed so far. http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?cat=news&id=4756&game=1 While the texturing could need a bit of shadow adjusting (the addon looks actually quite good with disabled shadows ingame), the scripts are simply amazing. This mech can actually change its way of movement from crawling like a spider to running like a panther. ! -
Same player ID even after we bought another copy of ArmA II
Altimeter posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Hey I wanted to play ArmA II with my friend on LAN. First we tried my copy for both of our computers, which didnt work. So he bought himself another copy of ArmA II which he installed, however now we still have the same "Player ID", so we still cant play Multiplayer with each other. Are there any additonal files ArmA II puts on your harddrive in which the Player ID is saved? -
Anyone else is afraid what ArmA III is going to do to the addons scene?
Altimeter posted a topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
We all know giant mods like during OFP-times cant be done anymore, one single tank for ArmA II takes more effort then 50 addons for Operation Flashpoint, mainly due to the texturing. Big mods like the Invasion 44 couldnt be released for ArmA, instead got ported for ArmA II, and in all likelyhood will be ported again for ArmA III. Why should Addon makers bother for ArmA III to even start? The time the mod community starts rolling, the next game is due for release anyway. Look at the addons that have been released, 90% are ArmA I or even OFP ports, or the infamous "Special Forces Reskins". Is there any way BIS could steer against that? Release more powerful / easier mod tools? -

I did some addons for the Wh40K mod, and I think they look quite good - in OFP. Then I ported one over in ArmA II, just to check it out - It just didnt fit. Textures were ugly, to few polygons / veritices etc. -

RVMATs and Shaders in OFP, are you kidding? In OFP you got yourself a texture from somewhere, painted in on your addon and it looked at least "ok" ingame. Not possible anymore ;) -
ArmA II Stargate Mod
Altimeter replied to Frostman's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Let them concentrate on the addons. Everyone can make missions. -
I want to make sure I understood it correctly: I have ArmA II, Arrowhead, and both the BAS and PMC DLC. Can I: Install ArmA II Install Arrowhead Install BAS DLC Install PMC DLC Apply Arrowhead & Reinforcements Patch 1.59 ...and everything would be up-to-date?

Here to ease the waiting for 3.1, I decided to release my Venerable Dreadnoughts and Grey Knights: http://hotfile.com/dl/113168456/6db830a/GreyKnightsDreadnoughts.rar.html The OFPWH40K Mod v.3.0 is required for them to work.

The P-51 and Messerschmitt have that system as well. I think they were even before the F-18. -
Introducing Take On Helicopters by Bohemia Interactive
Altimeter replied to Placebo's topic in TAKE ON HELICOPTERS - GENERAL
Thats not a new game, thats just ArmA II with Helicopter addons and an island with no forests so you can play it with maximum viewdistance. -
My problem with CBA is sometimes I have the feeling it adds lags. And often the stupid (sorry but thats how I feel about it) "Credits" message will lag, so you play the game and after some minutes in suddenly the screen goes black and that message appears.
-
He just COLLECTED the addons you moron, he didnt do them himself. I dont even know what "Darkest Hour" is, should he be able to recgonize the textures of every game out there? "Oh this pistol uses textures from Call of Duty; Oh this soldiers boots are from Wolfenstein"
-
Well then my final word to this: If someone has the model and the textures for the Bumblebee Lifepod, please tell me where I can find them. I then will implement them into OFP. I kind of like the little ship, dont know why exactly.:D
-
It is? I thought I read Bungie made the models free for use in mods and fanfilms, they even released the necessary extraction tool. Allright if its true what Bielow says, then use the way of the PN ;) (Although i too think the mod you are referring to is the one with the 2 Warthogs, 5 Chiefs and the Halo + Planet model)

List of "Armed Assault 1" addons that work in "ArmA II" as well
Altimeter replied to Dr. Horrible's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
You know the Valkyrie originally looks like that, and his version is a subvariant...? http://s1.hubimg.com/u/275488_f520.jpg But ok, I missed the Youtube-text. -
Is it the one with the black and green Warthog, and the ~5 different colored "Chiefs"? Judging from the Screenshot he already has that. But yeah post it, Halo 1 and 2 models are fair use now, but not Halo 3 / ODST / Reach. (These models have been exracted too, but without ok by Bungie).
-
I once saw the Bumblebee Lifepod in Operation Flashpoint, but I dont know where and I dont think it was ever released. Since Bungie has nothing against extracting the models from Halo 1 & 2 under the "fair use" rule, I think quite every model is available. I dont know which ones have been ported to OFP apart from the ones on the screenshot, but if you can tell me where to find a certain model + textures I can implement them into an addon in no time, its not that hard, depending on which quality you want to get. The pelican dropship with its detachable Warthog is a very high quality port, textures are flawless, many scripts have been added etc. The other black Warthog (I think he came together with the Master Chief) on the other hand is a pretty "quick & dirty" port. I think I would be able to get a "decent" port ingame, not as good as the pelican, but not as bad as the black Warthog.

Altimeter replied to Dr. Horrible's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I still think youre Valkyrie is the single most impressing addon for ArmA. The combination of clean smooth textures, a very high quality model, and of course the astonishing scripts make it a real masterpiece. Thank you so much for porting it to ArmA I. Only question I have, will the be a version without the giant cannon on the back? I like the elegant look of the normal Valkyrie, and while the "brutish" look of that cannon has something to it, I still would like to see the normal one.
